Background

The 2nd Maltese Legión is an independent volunteer-based paramilitary of nationalistic Maltese citizens. The 2nd Legión was formed in mid 825 A.S. by veterans of it's predecessor, the 1st Maltese Legión, that was established in the very beginning of 824 A.S. and collapsed later the same year. The downfall of the 1st Legión left a gap in Maltese society for a faction representing the very same militant and nationalistic ideals that the old Legión stood for originally. This prompted Eliza Valdez and Ezio Aquila, both members of the old Legión's command structure, to contact the surviving veterans of the old movement and offer them a chance to form the Maltese Legión under it's old banner again.

Unlike it's predecessor, the 2nd Maltese Legión focuses solely on the military side of Maltese society. Due to its nationalistic essence, non-Maltese are not permitted to attain any high rank in this organization. Legiónnaires value the love and loyalty to Malta held by some foreign volunteers, but they would never trust them as they would trust one of their own blood. Neither is there any reason to allow foreigners to gain influence as Malta has no shortage of experienced military specialists.

With it's withdraw from the political sphere and the loss of support from the prosperous Loyola family, the 2nd Legión faces common shortages of hardware and funding which it tries to make up with the experience of it's more veteran Legiónnaires. Learning from it's past mistakes, the Legión leadership also refuses to take patronage from any of the influential families of Malta and instead makes dues with the funding and resources provided by it's own loyal members as well as engaging in piracy operations against the houses of Kusari, Gallia and Liberty. Smuggling of Cardamine, the lifeblood of Malta and sought after drug among the rest of Sirius, is also not unheard of but still very rare due to the 2nd Legión's shortage of logistic vessels and entirely different focus.

The combat operations of the Legión mainly consist of textbook partisan warfare. Using the cover of endless asteroid and gas fields, Legión fighter and bomber wings attack suddenly and decisively; after doing as much damage they can to the defending side, Legiónaries utilize the same fields to escape. The number of larger ships, as well as their frequency of use, is very limited due to financial and material shortages and as such they are used sparingly. The most notable Maltese Legión warship is the Legiónnaire flagship MNS Citadella.

The Legión maintains squadrons on various bases in the Omicron, Tau and Sigma sphere of Maltese influence. The pilots and leaders of the Legión refuse, for the most part, to take any part in political and economic life of Malta. Dedicated to combating external threats, they view their devotion as nothing less than their patriotic duty, and involvement in civilian life as an undesirable distraction. However, the Legión is not apathetic, and has its own point of view on how to influence the beloved Nación into prosperity.

The leadership of the 2nd Maltese Legión sees the Nomad influence on Malta by the aliens and their human prophets as troubling and dangerous for the future of the Maltese Nación. As such the Legiónnaires do not shy away from any opportunity to cull the influence those outside forces have on the Maltese homeworld. However killing other pure-blood Maltese, even for the cause of saving the Nación, remains a taboo and is heavily discouraged within the ranks of the Legión.

Firstly and foremost - thanks, Denis!

But it seems the tracker still has the issue with the '\' symbol in our name as I am unable to see any ships with our tag (or any ships at all) when I select Legion Maltesa there. I remember we had the same issue like an year and something ago but I was left with the impression it got fixed when Alley ported things to the new API. Is she still in charge of maintaining this? I'd gladly try and contribute a fix just so we (or anyone else using the cursed '\' symbol) can finally have our tag working.

Our tracker is still borked and not tracking our time. Which obviously is a kick in the mud since we're aiming for officialdom. Vasko offered his brain and firstborn to help fix the situation, can we get an update on that?

With the risk of being a bit annoying I kind of want to remind people that the tracker is still not working for us. Some assurance that it is being worked on would be quite welcome, really.

Just want to throw a massive kudos to the guy who was flying L\-MNS-Catarania (Think the spelling is) you gave me alot of nice RP while on my Zoner in Omicron Delta. It wasn't just a 2 million or die which I expected from this faciton, so thank you to you all for the RP's. Keep the good work up.

It's been another week and still no official statement from either admins or devs that take care of the tracker. This is quite demotivating and I would be very disappointed if it ends up with a green message in 3 months that we are denied officialdom because there isn't a working tracker to judge our activity. A simple "we are working on it" would be quite assuring, I don't demand that you fix this here and now, I just want an official statement to know if this is going to get fixed or not. While the journey is more important than the destination I'd be quite disappointed to lose another 500 mil in vain.

To my knowledge, both and are currently away. These are the only people with the ability to make the change as far as I am aware. It should be a rather easy fix, but I myself am unable to make the change.

I doubt they've been since beginning of October. I must agree it'd be demotivating if it had happened to me. You could have just said it's being looked upon or that people are away much earlier than after 1,5 month.
