The "Mando'a Bonxa" was a barren place, devoted to the job of drinking, and the rough talk of soldiers. Mandalorian pilots, men and women alike, frequented its four walls for downtime after time in the cockpit.

The walls were plastered with the photos of pilots killed in battle. The only way to go, really, if you were a Mandalorian. Many fallen soldiers were regarded with reverence. The former Mandalore, John Cabot, and the crew of the Goju Ryu, were featured prominantly on one wall. The ship was captured, and is now a Kusari Naval Forces vessel again, and her crew was killed by the boarding party. It was assumed by those present that the Kusari murdered them after taking them prisoner, but the truth was far more complicated.

Mandalorian women pilots graced the wall too. Alor'ads Amanda Woods, and Kyr'am Prudii were shown next to each other on the north wall. Both strong and attractive women, the former Bretonian, the latter Mandalorian, sadly lost to space.

This was not, to say the least, a place one could buy a claret...

And "Mando'a Bonxa" means "Mandalorian Sandbox". The former owner had a sense of humour. It was also not wise to make fun of that name...
Ranov'la Aran got back to the Mhi'Motir after the successful raid to the Corsair home system, Omicron Gamma. 'Fighting behind the enemy lines' doesn't begin to describe what flying all the way to Gamma from Bretonia, fighting there and coming back is. Doing it was much more like raiding the lion's den and bringing the beast back out by its whiskers.

Ranov'la was exhausted, deep down all he wanted to do was to get out of his armour and get some sleep, but his new pilots had just earned their very first victory as fully fledged Mandalorians Warriors. He couldn't deny them the celebration.
Billy Bishop had gotten there first and was drunk by the time they got there.

He had to leave and made his excuses, his wife Suzanne was going to kill him; ironically, she would kill him because the Corsairs had an opportunity to, but couldn't.

Kira Zhal'Fir was at the bar, and a Mandalorian mechanic approached the 19 year old female pilot, thinking nothing remotely honourable..

She rewarded him for a crass comment with a combat boot to the shin. He left soon after.
Deungo Caladon and Zechs Czan had some nasty looking bruises and cuts on them, but they both had such broad smiles across their faces so Ranov'la didn't worry. They were joined by Dai'Kiin Vaar, another new warrior, and engaged in the ritual the Bonxa had been made famous and was loved for, sharing war stories.

Ranov'la saw as the three of them took turns to mimic the manoeuvres they had performed not a couple of hours before. At a point Deungo made an expanding ball with his hands and produced the sound of a respectable explosion imitating a ship's blast. He looked so enthusiastic about it, he had to be talking about the HAF Praefect Cruiser he took out. The Mandalore remembered the young man at his office, not two days before, telling how he favoured the big targets. Ranovla smiled and thought to himself, No kidding, son. Great job.

Vaar had an exploit of his own to account for. He timed a cruise disruptor missile so perfectly as a shieldless Titan dropped a nuclear mine, the target was annihilated instantly. Ranovla, who was after the same target, saw it from a vantage point and couldnt help but cheer loudly as the Corsair ship exploded, so beautifully executed the trick had been.

Czan was happy, but not as enthusiastic as the other two, as he didnt have a kill of his own to brag about. Ranovla took the hint and reached for a box he kept with the bartender for such occasions and approached their table. Still laughing, they all turned to face him as he cleared his throat.

Gentlemen... No... Warriors! He emphasized it. The hunt today was a bountiful one and I want to congratulate you all on an awesome job. Your bonuses will be transfered to you as soon as our accounting department processes those kills. In the mean time, these will have to..., he interrupted himself, Before I go on... Do NOT repeat the trick of bringing Corsair heads as confirmation for the kills. That's what we use guncams for; less messy.

"Anyway... These are your first rewards... You three get the Droter Kadem, for entering enemy territory alongside three other Mandalorians and emerging victorious from the battle.

Droter Kadem

You also get the Verda a Tome, for participating in a battle involving at least four Mandalorians against an equivalent or bigger force.

Ranov'la tossed two small medals to each one in turn, then threw a helpless look at Billy, showing his empty hands and shrugged.

I know, I know..., he waved a hand dismissing it,Ive got a whole collection of those already. Just get it over with so we can resume getting pissed.

Caladon, you get to paint that very opportune cruiser kill.

"Vaar, for that beautifully timed cruise disruptor, you can also paint a kill.

"Czan...the young man looked at the Mandalore genuinely surprised, ...I had you flying shadow for the bombers out there the whole engagement. You did a very good job protecting them. We have an unclaimed kill here. That Titan that ate his own mine. Now... Targets venting themselves to space is bad for business, so I am claiming that one kill on your behalf for all the trouble I put you through. So... you also get to paint one kill."

Billy took the medal box from the Mandalore's hands and closed it, Enough with the solemnities. Go get drunk, you all.
Dha Piruna went into the bar at an unusual time. He looked exhausted but at the same time he had a strange glare in his eyes.

"Oi Billy!" he shouted through half of the room.

"I told you to be more formal in public.", the consul pressed trough his teeth as Dha arrived at his table.

"Come on. It's time for celebration. I found it."

"You found what? Why are you even...oh..you mean THAT?"

"Exactly. My report is on its way to the Mandalore. I hope he has enough sense to act the right way. But I am trustful in that...Barkeeper get me a drink over here!"

It was not the last drink this evening.

Mord stumbles into the bar and slouches over table

This day was a long one. I began my exploration in Tau-37 on Freeport 10. Then I decided to venture to a place I probably shouldn't have been exploring. I stealthy flew my way through Omicron Alpha and onward through to Omicron-81 It was long but I didn't meet up with any other ships to hinder my progress. Although the outcasts are friendly with the Mandalorians, I've been escorted out of the Omicron Alpha system for the weapons on board my ship and a misunderstanding of captured outcast pilots.

I found several nice shops and I got to see a closer look at some of the outcast weaponry and fighters. It was very interesting. From there I went back through Tau's on my way to Coranado to be greeted by TAZ in our neighboring system. I said howdy and continued through the empty space. I docked at the base station for a quick nap and went to liberty. I visted a few bases and found outcasts sitting in New York just chilling. It was quite a sight to see. They were flying Slave Liners and the liberty police were just parked out next to their ship having a chat. All items on board were of legal nature and I assume they had a very good story for why they had been flying near Manhatten. I set my ship on top of the newark station just to relax a bit when a hogasha ship began giving trouble to one of the LPI. I decided to follow the LPI to see if he required assistance in eliminating this threat to the peace of New York. I stayed back to watch the LPI in action and was asked to assist in the ship's capture. He would not yield so we had to destroy him. The LPI Jeff M. thanked me from my help and sent over a gift of his thanks. I said it wasn't necessary but the LPI can be stubborn. So I thanked him and went back to the peace of Planet Manhatten.

After a twenty minutes or so I was greeted by a zoner ship with big claims of credits owed to him by Mandalore. I thought the story was hilarious but I promised to pass his claim along to see if it held any truth. I recorded the message and sent it several hours before I got to the "Mando'a Bonxa".

In liberty I heard comm chatter from some Bretonian authorities patrolling in Leeds. I decided to go see what was happening there. In leads not even 50k from the jumpgate three BTA and a BAF had a gaian ship surrounded. It turns out they had a hostage situation. Several VIPs had been captured by a Gaian gunboat and were being held. I waited outside of gunfire range to watch the Bretonia's talk to and allow the gunboat safe passage after he released the VIPs. When the situation was over I greeted them all and was impressed with their handling of the hostages. I joined up with their patrol to ensure the safety of Bretonia. I found the gaian ship later on in the system with loot all around with bretonian pilots floating about. I grabbed the pilots from space to return them later to their base. The gaian ship quickly left through the jumphole to Edinbourg. The pilots were returned and the BTA Lt. asked about a couple of ships in Omega-3. I offered to investigate and went along on my way.

mumbles some more about what happened then passes out on the table

Lena Goodmen nodded towards the guard at the Mandalores door.
He smiled uppon her and said: "Good job sister, we should celebrate today in the bar about your victory!"

The guard closed the door behind her.

Mandalore Diana Blane was standing at the window and watched the asteroids floating by.
She turned around with a smile and held something in her hands.

"Warrior Goodmen,

Its an honour to congratulate you to your first honourable kill.
Hunting down a Kusarian Naval pilot is not easy and you deserved this reward.

I am porud to award you with your first medal my brother.

(Kyr'amur) Solus
Requirement: Destroy an enemy ship in a duel.

Wear it with pride warrior, and may the sweet and mercyless Cay'lith guide your blade through further enemies."

She stepped towards Lena Goodmen and handed her the medal over. Then she looked at her desk.

"The next time, you will take me with you, understood? This paperwork is killing me! I want to die in honour and not by a sheet of paper."

Lena Goodmen thanked the Mandalore for the reward and proudly walked towards the door.

"Ah and Lena? Do me a favour and send me Consul William Bishop in, I need news about the signetring's whereabout."

Kal strolled up to the bar , grinned his thanks to the barkeep for the frosted beer waiting on the bar top , and turned around to survey the room .

He'd been gone awhile , there were a couple new faces scattered here and there in the boisterous crowd of off duty warriors . He nodded to himself , they all looked like they could handle themselves . The coming months will tell how well , he reflected wryly .

With wars breaking out all over the Sector , House wars as well as corporate , the militaries and Police had their hands full ... Busy times ahead for us , no doubt about it . Turning back to the barkeep , he signalled for a couple more beers ,"Put 'em on my tab , Lofty".

Weaving his way to the corner table he favoured , he started slightly when his perscom beeped . Checking the display "Meeting in the board room in 20 , non attendance is not an option .Blane. ".

He sighed , hastily downed his opened frosty , dumped the other three unopened bottles on the neighbouring table with a rueful "Enjoy , my children" to the surprised and gratified warriors sitting there , and pushed his way to the exit .

Wonder what Diana has up her lovely sleeve now .... no doubt trouble for someone .... He laughed , "Poor bastards !" Whistling cheerfully , he headed for the board room .

Alor'ad:
Mandalorian term for 'Captain', or 'Leader of Men'. Given to Warriors who demonstrate the ability to lead men in battle, and who have also earned the honour. Allowed a gunboat.

Warrior A'den Jango, Ge'tel Gratua and Kira Zhal'Fir, stood in front of Consul William Bishop, Consul Kal Vergebuir and Mandalore Diana Blane.

The rest of the Council Chamber was already empty.

"Warriors, you have fought brave and brought a lot of honour among all Mandalorians. Even the great John Cabot would be proud of you."

Mandalore Diana Blane stepped towards the Warriors and bowed before them.

Diana turned around to Consul Vergebuir, who had a box with 3 special shaped knifes in it.

"Those blades, are the instruments of special men and women, who know how a real Mandalorian works. Only the most honoured Mandalorian Warriors will achieve one of them."

All three warriors recieved a blade.

"You will leave your current lifes behind, its history from now on. You are now an Alor'ad. Leader of Men.
Do us proud as we expect it from you."

Consul Bishop quickly added: "You have also achieved the right of gathering a crew together, if you choose to command a Gunboat."

During normal conditions, it would be the time when cheers and applause would be heard.
Though the Council Chamber was still empty.
Everybody was heading for Rheinland borders, to collect the first Rheinland head of this hunt.

Diana nodded: "Get into your ships Alor'ad's, your lead is required in Rheinland. May the mercyless Cay'lith guide you towards your prey."
Hal doesn't look like someone who does a lot of talking.

In his thirties, dressed simply but smartly, he enters the bar and heads towards the information broker, weaving politely through the crowd, with curteous nod and a relaxed smile.

The fixer is, of course, busy -- talking to her and knocking knuckles with him the way fixers ply their trade. Sitting close by, with a large glass of Dublin Stout, Hal waits his turn. When the moment's right, Hal catches Ramirez's eye and nods meaningfully -- as if to say "I'm waiting, not in a rush, but don't take the piss". Ramirez knows that nod and tips his hat. Once his on-going exchange completes, he makes a "drink?" sign to Hal, who finishes his pint and they both wonder to the bar.

"Y'allright mate?", Hal says above the noise of the bar. Ramirez nods. "Yeah - not bad. Work's good so all's good really..." The men work together and get served fairly quickly. They look around and head to an empty table towards the edge of the bar.

"So I hear you're making full use of your insurance policy" Ramirez chuckles. Hal grimaces. "Don't rub it in. I have found a hidden talent of being in the first wave and become prime target. Sucks." Hal shrugs and continues. "I'm starting to get used to it"

Hal looks around, then pulls a datapad from his inside left pocket and places it on the table.

"Listen - I saw something weird in Coronado.". He switches on the datapad, swipes the fingerprint reader and turns display so that Ramirez gets a better view.

"What do you make of this?", asks Hal.
