» Innovations of the 80 year war

Relying on its sheer industrial might to overcome it’s new adversary in the Sigmas at the time, the Rheinland Imperial Navy looked to several new systems - each of which would be dedicated to further expanding upon the already monstrous war machine. The most notable of these to the Imperial Navy; Thuringia, would be host to the construction of several new prototype vessels and weapons. In addition to this, the gargantuas shipyards within the system served as catalysts to produce the already known war vessels for the frontier in the sigma systems, the most notable of these - Valhalla Shipyard.

The system’s availability came at the convenience of anomaly links from other systems within Rheinland and even some of it's neighboring Sigma systems, and with the work occurring there - no publications on the system or its contents were ever made. Any clues to the system's existence were buried in cover-ups and conspiracies, most of which were created and spread about by the Imperial Navy. With the system living on the sole purpose of the the war just north, it’s conclusion at the battle of Yanagi in 668 A.S. left Thuringia and it’s contents with no purpose, and were abandoned shortly after. Consequently leaving the locations of any new stable anomaly links unknown to the world - or so everyone believed. Beyond the loss of the war, the reorganization of Rheinland’s government drew back the scale of funding and industrial power that was available at 100% convenience to the Rheinland Imperial Navy during the war- meaning any chance of return for a similar purpose in the near future was impossible.

» Revelations of the Nomad War

Nearing the end of the nomad war in 801 A.S - The destruction of the Nomad vessels at what would later become known as Schatten Research Facility in Frankfurt, along with the stopped advance of the Rheinland Military through the Sigma systems, several infected personnel operating military hardware in these regions were left with no choice but to “cease and desist”. The actual result was a full scale retreat, many infected hiding under the banner of the Kusari Empire had retreated to the arch in tohoku, later forming the “Aoi Iseijin”. Infected vessels within the southern parts of Rheinland moved further south into the Omegas, creating a new home for themselves that would be cut off from the rest of the forces in the area.

However, the infected Rheinland Military forces in northern Rheinland and the Sigma systems were left with the major obstacle of finding their own home. While the newly formed M.N.D’s ruthless pursuit of remaining infectees cleansed the bulk of the infected personnel, several still survived, conveniently discovering the long lost anomaly links to none other than the Thuringia system.

To their surprise even further, the surviving infected personnel that had made way to Thuringia came to find an already small presence of host hybrid vessels, indicating the system was uncovered by the nomads long before; but more interestingly indicating there were vessels under infection long before. The mystery behind these vessels and how they came to be is yet to be known by anyone, more important to the arriving infected soldiers however, was an enormous -both in size and age- installation to call home: Valhalla Shipyard.

Surrounded in a large nebulae of debris serving as a new “natural protection barrier”, the shipyard was re-utilized to serve its original purpose - ship repair and construction. The result was the confiscation of several centuries old Rheinland Imperial hardware, from the smallest fighter-craft to a handful of large-scale war vessels.

» Present Day

“Those who do not learn history are doomed to repeat it.” Currently, that seems to be more than true in the present for Rheinland as a house. With the war theater once again opening up in the Sigma systems, now with the reformed Kusari Empire on top of the G.M.G; the M.N.D and Rheinland Military have once again looked to the Thuringia system to serve as it’s war catalyst and testing ground. Detecting it’s presence at large, the now regrouped and reorganized infected soldiers in the system have huddled together under a new banner “Kaiserliche Valkyrie”.

Utilizing their superior skills and hardware reformed in their image; the Kaiserliche Valkyrie have begun to conduct numerous raids within the Thuringia system and the surrounding Rheinland systems, serving as a message to the Rheinland Military - or a warning not to repeat the past.
