History:
Born on Shasta Orbital Skyhook in Baffin, Malatji Ves was born into poverty. Being the last child of 4 and born many years later than his siblings, he spent most of his time alone at home or helping his father. He was a bright student, but reckless and quick to anger. He spent most of his time growing up pranking people and dreaming beyond the stars. This didn’t do well for him when he finally graduated. He left school with mediocre marks, very little prospects of work and the dreams he had as a child.
He spent several years learning to pilot old, barely holding ships just so that he could be a real pilot one day. Many times having the authorities towing him back in just to stop him from dying. His chance finally came when a transporter arrived looking for young people that want work, but in dangerous sectors of Sirius. This was the moment he was looking for, this was his way out. He backed his bags, said good bye to his parents and didn’t look back. Once the transporter had left cabin crew came by to get everyone’s details for registration. Unknown to him and many others aboard the transport, their “chance” became their nightmare.

It can’t be proven where this transaction took place, but whispers said it was TAU-44. All these young, energetic, hopeful people were being sold as slaves. At that time, none of them knew this. There was just too much chaos. Men ordering them to get up and transfer to the other ship. On board this ship, there were heavily armed guards keeping everyone in line. The ship was in poor conditions. The floors were soiled from whatever was here before, the stench filled the air. It made breathing difficult, that each time you wanted to throw up.

Weeks passed before he was it was his turn, the last shipment to be sold off. They were in Omicron XI when the slaver ship came under fire. Each hit made the inside holding rattle, the thoughts of being sucked into the vacuum of spaced filled most of their minds. Crying out, pleading for the slavers to let them go, to get away from this danger. Out of the heavy assault on the trader, the ship fell into silence as the firing ceased. Malatji scared and helpless as the rest noticed there were no guards; the ship was empty besides his comrade’s murmurs.

Hours passed before they knew what was going on. With a loud echoing thud, they were expecting that they were going to die from and explosion or an impact. But instead, the hull doors opened and there stood strangers with guns. Is this from bad to worse?

Luck had played out. Corsairs attacked the slaver ship, and towed them to Rhodes Shipyard in Omicron Gamma. They were escorted off the ship onto smaller vessels, and sent to Planet Crete. There they were fed, housed in small tents in a make shift refugee camp under heavily patrol guards. Days passed before they were spoken to by their rescuers.

After long discussions, it was agreed that Malatji and his comrades will be given choices. Stay on Crete and offer their support, by labour. Assisting where they were needed. Or they could be put onto another ship and sent off to one of the neighbouring systems.

Malatji did not want to chance it and decided to stay with a handful of others. He spent weeks working on ships, and cleaning the hangers. Early one morning, he was rudely awoken and told to get ready they were going to leave soon. Leave? Leave to where? What did he do wrong?

He was leaving to achieve his dream, in a small way. He was taken into a Correo and shown how to mine Xeno Relics in Planet Knossos. Months passed as him and his Corsair pilot mined the fields. Every time evading Nomad attacks, Outcast raids, and watching the Corsair reinforcements flying in to chase away all who is not a Corsair. He watched with intent, to learn all he can so he doesn’t become a floating wreck like many others.

Months passed and he had proven his worth, he was given his own Correo to mine. He felt so much excitement that he can finally fly on his own. He spent most of his waking hours mining. Many times he was told to come back as he needs to sleep before the next shift. This is what he was good at; this is what he was born to do. Born to fly and to mine.

As weeks became months, and months became years, the voice in the back of his head kept saying this is your chance; this is your time to flee. Become free once again, become your own man and find real work. After much debating with himself, he took the leap. Mid way through his shift, he left the mining zone, went to cruise and sped out of Planet Knossos, into Omicron Xi. But he was lost; he only knew the Gamma jump hole. So while searching for another, he was being tracked and reported as fleeing. Soon the Corsairs were onto him, he thought back to watching the Corsairs fighting off the Outcasts and Nomads. He knew what he had to do. He managed to find a group of Outcasts and headed straight to them. Outcasts opened fire, and he knew everyone took the bait. Corsairs engaged Outcasts, Outcasts fighting off Corsairs, and he can escape with time to spare.
He managed to find the Munich jump gate.

In Munich he landed on planet Nuremburg after almost being shot down. He explained his stories and that he just wants to move forward. He managed to sell his Correo and got transported to Planet Berlin. Soon after he got himself a Ragnar ship and got back into mining. Starting with the uncut diamonds. The skills he had learnt paid off when he encountered Red Hessians. Mining while fighting. It was frustrating, it was dangerous. Because he knew that he can evade them here, but where he was going to sell his bounty he more than likely had to engage them again. As well, he had to make sure he wasn’t detected by the local mining companies as well as the law enforcement.

Years passed and he moved onto Aluminium, try his luck there ,but again the outlaw factions followed him where ever he went and was a dangerous journey dodging the varies factions and the pirates wanting his cargo. But this started his dreams again. He knew he had to do something about this situation. He had finally saved up enough credits to buy his own transporter. He travelled Rheinland space to find miners to buy cargo from. Each miner he came across all spoke about the dangerous situations they deal with daily. So he wasn’t the only one with a target on his back.

Again months passed until he decided to put his dream into action, to open a base to assist traders and miners alike. Be in a reasonable vicinity to the mining areas for miners to sell at a good rate, and to be in the right spot for traders to buy from him and travel a short distance to make huge profits. He alone paid for the base, over watched its construction, and supplied it himself with the local ores.

Soon he realised that this was bigger than himself, he couldn’t do this on his own. He needed help in order to attend to all the miners across the Rheinland and Omega systems. So after some financial planning and consideration, Malatji decided to create a new company. A company dedicated to the miners as a priority and the traders as its secondary. He created [OTZ]-Omega Trading Zoners. Deciding to bring his home roots to his company, for if it wasn’t for leaving Baffin, he wouldn’t be where he is now.

With Sirius being thrown into chaos from the recent wars, he knows that he may eventually have to pick a side in order to stay alive and to make sure that himself, and his staff are around after to pick up the pieces and to keep the Omega regions running smoothly.

Company Info:
For many centuries, mining has been the building blocks for all houses across Sirius. Most of the mining is done by big corporates where the miner sits alone and transverses back to their base. Or where the small guy, mining to feed his family, slaves away unprotected.

It is about time that these miners are treated better, and given assistance. Without them mining the raw materials, the industries can’t make their products, and therefore no trade can be done.

As Omega Trading Zoners we have realised that in the current market there is a need for a full on trade facilitator, someone needs to fill this gap, and we feel that we are the right company to do so in the Omega and Omicron region. We want to engage as many corporates, and free holdings as possible to be a place where they can contact us for what they need, and we can deliver to them. We hope that with our presence, those miners will come back to the Omega and Omicron regions in their numbers. Remember, without you, there is no us, there is no House. Everything will fall into chaos.

Company Goals:
Short term: To facilitate trade of ores within Rheinland and Bretonia. See the return of many miners.

Medium Term: To expand Freeport X to Core 2 or possibly core 3.

Long term: To set up other OTZ stations closer to the mining fields to make it more appealing to miners. Hopefully start being a form of contractor to ship the ores to the respective companies who own the mine fields, so they can focus of production of goods, and have faster and newer developments.

Main Goal: To be the trade centre for all ores and gasses in Sirius. Be an independent facilitator/logistic coordinator not governed by house rules, but rather be part of a trade committee and provide oversight over Omega regions. A place where companies send their ambassadors to trade under OTZ on behalf of their respective company. This is to get them to trade with people who they would not likely trade with, and to solidify OTZ as a trade relation facilitator.

RP Goals:
- Assist in ensuring raw materials reach their respective destinations
- Ensure a constant flow of minerals being mined
- Maintain Neutrality while still brokering deals to transverse throughout Sirius.
- Protect all assets via Diplomacy and if needed force.
- Be on the fore front of trade deals, and if we lucky we may discover a new system with one of the factions and share in the spoils
- Expand our influence across Sirius

Please note that once you fly with the [OTZ] the name you use there after stays with that ship. If you want to have it changed, you will need to post a request and await authorisation. This is to keep an up-to-date roster.
The base builder will be to construct new bases when needed, and can be hired out for other companies within the region.

Code of conduct:
1. Following Server rules is a must. Not only does this benefit yourself, and this faction, but it benefits everyone else
2. PVP skills aren’t requirements but RP skills are.
3. With our faction, the traders are our main asset, but also the most watched. So when being a trader in OTZ, first priority is our faction goal, assisting miners from all divisions, and when there is no miners, the base/bases need to be supplied, then doing inRP runs such as supplying other Freeports, or send basic essentials to other factions.
3.1. With regards to the point above, we do expect shipments to be made to Freeport X as well. Not only to keep the base repaired, but also Ores to keep the trade open.

5. No OORP message in local chat
6. If asked by anyone what your destination is, you are heading to the nearest Freeport, if they decide to follow you, find the nearest Freeport and dock. You can finish your run later. This is to protect the confidentiality of our contractors.
7. Follow all in house rules of the system you are in. If you get pirates stopping you, and give them what they want. You are worth more alive than dead, and the cargo is insured.
8. Make sure at all times you have credits available in the event of paying off pirates, as OTZ will not be held liable for damages caused

Ships to be used inRP are the following:
Depending on situation priority:
Freighters, Train, Transports
Fighters and bombers.

The use of Gunboats and other Capital ships are restricted unless required due to conflict done inRP. But there will need to be proof, and allocated time to acquire a Capital ship. We can’t have a user one day showing up with a capital ship without evidence that there was roleplaying involved to acquire it. As most of the time when there is conflict, we would ask the faction that owns the system we in or that is flying with us, to assist with protection if our own security can’t handle it.
We recommend that you use the ship according to your faction, unless you have authorisation from the HR division.

Due to being a new company, out diplomacy status stands the same as the Freeports around Sirius. We hope in time with negotiations with various factions, that we create strong bonds to promote trade. We do understand that due to different standings, that various factions may not like that we are neutral or in good terms with other factions. But to reach our company goal, we need to welcome these situations, diversity, and challenges.

We at OTZ know that no matter how much negotiations happen, or how well meetings go, once the parties involved go back to their respective systems, they will not see eye to eye as per usual. But I hope that when they see the OTZ tag being flown, they will treat my pilots with kindness.
