Notice from dba - Feb 14th, 826 A.S.: "I don't usually post notices on this account, but this is urgent since we've got a massive data hole/data consistency issue here. idk why but a lot of references to Alky just downright disappear at around the end of 823. I've heard rumours that the Long Journeys was destroyed by Gallic Royal Navy forces, but there's no word of the Long Hauls - however, a Liberty Transport calling itself "Alky Long Hauls" was spotted within Liberty, Bretonia and Rheinland just a few days ago. This directly contradicts some of the data we've got on them.

I'll activate a neural net crawler to check out archives of these guys. This is going to take forever to get through."

Brief biography:

Born to a rich space-faring family with some connections to Orbital Spa & Cruise, Leonard has seen it all: from the islands of Curacao and Baden Baden's hot springs, there wasn't a year when the Victors wouldn't travel. Leonard had become so fascinated with this business that he decided to start a career in the company... But was assigned a cheap hauling job.

As it is with people of his ambition, and with a newly born interest in alcohol tourism, (and probably accidentally botching a Tea hauling job in OSC following his divorce) he decided to save up just enough to start his own hauling company specialized in the mass transport of spirits and other alcoholic beverages: Alky Limited - it's first ship: the "Alky Long Hauls". Following the lifting of the trade embargo between Liberty and Rheinland, the business greatly expanded with the unrestricted addition of Rheinbier to its business cycle.

With a new investment, Alky Limited finally started fulfilling its objective: providing an accessible venue for alcohol tourism and space-faring entertainment for the common man, all while travelling to all the popular hotspots and some exotic locations. In the end, that's all that Leonard really cares about: sharing a good drink, good company, and good sights (at a reasonable fee).

Brief biography:

Klaus is the typical civilian who lived part of his life under less-than-typical circumstances. While travelling to Planet Cambridge to begin his studies on Aerospace Engineering at the age of 19, his convoy was attacked by a Wilde hunting pack not too far from New Berlin, with Klaus being one of the few reported survivors; after repeated harrassment and threats from several lowly groups on the grounds that he could be infested, he silently moved to Kusari to pursue his academics.

However, three years later, despite being almost done with his course, the sudden "deals" that Kusari had done with Kingdom of Gallia worried him, which prompted the man to pack up and move to Liberty, hoping to find an opportunity with what he had gained until then. Klaus worked in a mechanical workshop for the next four years until he met Leonard Victor, who personally invited him on board of the Alky Long Hauls as the ship's and the new organization's only semi-competent engineer.

"I'm going to get that darned ship back. If my Eagle is my baby, then my Venture was my favourite nephew."

Updated biography:

The attack was brutal, and things looked grim. The original Alky Long Journeys, carrying a little over a thousand souls, was caught in the crossfire of a massive Gallic incursion towards the end of September, 823 A.S., being mistaken for a Bretonia-sanctioned ship. Several systems were crashing and the crew was at a disarray; a hundred souls - mostly from its security team - were lost as the liner was finally disabled. Leonard and Klaus managed to be saved.

Alky Limited was put in an extremely difficult position, with Leonard being deemed a coward for not helping further with the evacuation efforts. The public's trust in the organization plummeted, and it had to hide out for years; Leonard decided that it was time to retire, and Klaus went back to his mechanic trade.

Fast-forwarding to 826 A.S.: Klaus, after bringing Alky Limited back on its feet (refer to Klaus's file), reached out to Leonard to come out of retirement and restart the business. While reluctant at first, the captain decided to give the idea one more shot, and eventually acquired a Democritus-class Luxury Yacht for their Passenger transport division; Its name: "Alky Long Journeys II". While this ship is significantly smaller and lacks the posh, titanic levels of the Venture-class Liner's entertainment halls, the environment is far friendlier and the vessel is much more agile.

Leonard is the Captain of the "Alky Long Journeys II" (although he mostly occupies himself on entertaining the guests, leaving Klaus with most of the hard work), and isn't involved with the operation of the "Alky Long Hauls".

Updated biography:

During the attack on the Alky Long Journeys, Klaus was amongst the first ones to be rescued; he was also one of the first to suggest the idea of quitting, as the venture had become too dangerous, even for him. He returned to his old mechanic trade shortly after getting his bearings.

Years passed, and Klaus grew bored of his job again, feeling nostalgic for the adventures he had through Sirius with the "Long Journeys". On a whim, he somehow secured a multi-million credit deal to grow the Ale-Gin-Bier trade under the Alky Limited brand, and recovered the old "Alky Long Hauls" back into full-strength after years of inactivity in just a week. Klaus also managed to get his old boss, Leonard, back in the game as well.

Klaus is now the Chief Engineer and Chief Officer of the "Alky Long Journeys II", and the Captain of the "Alky Long Hauls".
