I can't help but have mixed feelings about this, and I believe this requires a certain explanation for you to understand.
I've taken the administration and command of Freeport 11 a bit less than two years ago, and before that I've actively followed all memorable events surrounding my station. Freeport 11 is a highly controversial and delicate matter. All the drama about this station has managed to cause apathetic reactions from all over Sirius whenever anything related to my station is reaching the public - polarizing the public opinion on this station. Many people would prefer we would just give up the freeport and save ourselves the time, nerves and resources. Many people however believe in the importance of Freeport 11 as neutral ground and gateway into the depths of the Omicrons. And then there are the Omicron Supply Industries, Ingenuus Research Group and other smaller groups that use Freeport 11 as base of operations in terms of research and commerce. Some very few people even believe Freeport 11 to be a good place for diplomatic negotiations, and let me tell you, Core and Order surely not.
It is always good to see ambitious people willing to be active in Omicron Delta, with good intentions. Past has shown that this requires regulation, though. About two and a half years ago, against the former administration back then, a group of self-proclaimed Zoners and more so self-proclaimed
Freeport 11 Security - in fact not hired or approved by said former administration - dragged the entire Zoner Community into a war with the Core. They pretended to speak on behalf of the entire community, which is absolutely impossible, given how different and diverse Zoners in general are. The Core was welcoming this without a second thought and engaged in hostile actions not only against the actual instigators but also against OSI, IRG and TAZ and many other uninvolved individuals and smaller groups.
This is something we cannot allow again to happen, not even anything remotely like that.
As I said, I appreciate the people who are still hanging around in Omicron Delta for non-violent purposes. So before I approve of anything that goes beyond the singular job I offered you, or even offer supportive funding, there are a few things that need to be made clear.
First of all: I would really like to know who you are. Little about you is known to me, apart from you apparently having worked for the LSF in the past. Aside from that, nothing. I need to know who you are, what your intentions are, why you are here in Delta, what your set of skills are and your opinions on the Omicrons, Freeport 11, the Core, the Order, the Zoner Community and their three major factions, the Cretans, the Maltese, Commune, Daumann and Ennibeck, the Nomads, AIs, the Houses, et cetera, et cetera.
Also, while I can understand you which to keep names of possible partners or inferiors secret, I sort of require a little dossier about who you wish to have at your side in case you seek funding. And I need to know how reliable they are, not only in combat but also in the three main activities of an external security apparatus, which leads me directly to what I expect from you and your Velvet Wing.
Previous security assets had the tendency to provoke in multiple ways, overstep their permissions and cause more trouble than they were helping in securing Freeport 11. My absolute demand from you is to act de-escalating.
Do not provoke. Do not take anything too far. Get in touch with the Laws of the No-FIre-Zone - that neural net page is slightly outdated, but still contains the essence our regulations. Make sure you and your Velvet Wing do not contradict with these regulations. Do not pretend to be able to enforce these laws - keep your limits. Only designated assets of the TAZ, IRG and OSI are permitted to do that at this point. (// ID lines) What I need is reliable people that are around to defend the station in a worst-case-scenario, as well as to prevent these worst-case-scenarios from happening by acting de-escalating.
If you believe a situation can't get solved diplomatically, leave. Hostile individuals know the Freeport is a bastion at this point, able to withstand days and weeks of sieging. These hostile individuals are more interested in anything that is not protected by the station's shields and armor. Should the only way to avoid the start of a fight be to leave the area, do that first. If that doesn't help, it is your choice to engage a potential threat in self-defense, in protectino of other Zoners or Freeport 11. Again, the importance is in the details and accuracy of this wording.
If you can appect my conditions and provide the information I requested, I will approve you officially as designated security asset and share this with the Freeport Network, so others know about your status. Freeport 11 is closely working together with OSI, IRG and Freeport 5 in Omega-41, so this is a necessity for them to know, and maybe they can offer you additional funding, should you do a good job. Someone needs to pay fuel, repairs and ammunition, right?
