To Government of the Republic of Rheinland.

Given recent events in the Bordering Omega-3 system we have recently been informed by the ALG group that they are now at war with Bretonia. This comes as both a shock and a surprise to Her Majesties Government as we were not aware that the ALG Could declare war. We therefore request and explanation from the Government of Rheinland as to what this actually means and we would like to inquire as to whether this move is state sanctioned. We request also that the Rheinland Government intervene as Bretonia has no desire to fire upon Rheinland nationals nor do we have any intention of encroaching upon Rheinland's system of Omega-7 or Rugen station.

However, while we strongly desire to avoid a conflict with ALG the Bretonian Armed Forces, Bretonian Police Authority and the Secret Intelligence Service will not hesitate to defend themselves or their allies from any who engage them, this of course applies to ALG. We hope that a resolution to this matter will present itself soon.

While you can be more than certain that this comes as a surprise to us too, it's not the first time this instance has happened with ALG. It currently falls within War rights as their involvement is purely of a defensive nature thanks to their political stance with the IMG, and as such we’re obligated to allow their employees to fight outside of Rheinland Territories.

Yet, while this engagement and annexation of Aland has a number of Bundestag legislators rattled, we’re not looking to involve the state itself within affairs on this situation. And as an extension, we’re not content on harbouring or sheltering ALG paramilitary, IMG paramilitary forces or their allies within Rheinland territories deployed to stage attacks against the Bretonian Armed Forces as it would cause major diplomatic issues. This we will make highly clear to them.

So as of now, we give Bretonia the full right to engage ALG paramilitary forces within Bretonian territories and Omega-3’s theatre of operations as long as targets are confirmed to be in direct military support against Bretonia. Battleship Altenburg will keep an eye on this situation, and will ensure border controls on actively deployed ships on anyone.

This is a complicated mess, but it is one that we did not instigate.
