Synth Foods is responsible for an exceptionally large portion of all food production and delivery within Sirius, and this is no easy task on its own. This effort is made doubly complicated by criminal elements and the hired goons of Samura Industries, who seek to create their own local monopolies for their own nationalistic benefit, rather than a globalized effort in the vein of Synth Foods that sees reliable, affordable foodstuffs delivered to every household across Sirius.

We are always in need of capable transport pilots and trained security personnel. Violence is an unfortunately common sight for our transport pilots, especially as they traverse the dangerous badlands and edge worlds to provide supplies to those most in need. Marco Riviero

Born on Crete into a farming family situated in the third quadrant of the souther hemisphere. Partly educated until a critical food shortage and drought wiped out a third of the local community. His father fell ill and died some time later that year. Marco stepped up to keep his father's farm producing and invested his life savings in a domestic shuttle craft for the purposes of aerial fertilisation. With no local experience in spacecraft Marco was forced to teach himself to operate it. The farm flourished for four years until the entire community's crop was wiped out by a devestating dust storm that lasted 23 days.

Marco abandoned his land, uprooted his family and paid for passage to Gran Canaria the same year. There he found work as a domestic courier and soon after enrolled on a domestic escort pilot scheme. He flew for the Gran Canarian emissary corps for 12 months before seeking out training in commercial freight. Through a series of chance opportunities and hard fought entry tests he quickly rose through the ranks to take command of his own vessel the 'Veraj'.
