Samantha sat and waited on the couch in the main office of the medical facility. Most of the hallways were white and clean giving her a sort of empty feeling as did the room she sat in. Frozen sat next to her reading a news magazine to which she was unsure of what the title was, whether it was GNN or something else, she was unsure. A moment later her father appeared from one of the doors escorting a flat bed with a man in bandages on it down the hallway towards another door. Her father appeared busy and she still hadn't had the time to properly give him a hug as well she had no clue of how to think of him. Since her memories of her father had turned out to be her memories of her mother, she now thought towards the memories of her mother which had to have been the memories of her father. The thoughts confused her and she decided that it was best just to relax which she did, lying her head on Frozen's lap.
"Alright, the doctor will see you now Ms. Grey." A lady appeared out of nowhere from behind the counter and fixed her glasses.
She was upset that she had just begun to relax, but of course, excited to get the transfusion over with. She stood up and followed the lady into an adjacent room her tail waving with excitement. She was instructed to sit on a bed that seemed to hover in the air which she did with only slight difficulty. She smiled happily as she moved her legs forward and backwards watching as Frozen sat down on a stood in the corner of the room. "Is this going to hurt?"
"I'm pretty sure they're going to put you to sleep." He snickered slightly. "You won't be feeling anything at all."
A moment later and a doctor came in and began to take a look a her, taking her temperture and testing her reflexes which all came out slightly normal. Then the doctor asked her to hold out her finger. She did so and recieved a small sharp pain as the doctor took some of her blood. Then the doctor abrutly left and did not come back for a long time. Samantha heard a small beeping sound as Frozen reached into his pocket and pulled out a small phone.
"Hey, whats up?" He smiled of course, but a moment later he kind of turned from a smile to a look of disbelief. "Sure, yeah she'll be fine in here." He clicked the phone shut and stood up. "I'll be right back. Angel Eyes needs to show me something." He leaned forward and handed her his phone. "Call me if you need me for any reason at all. Dad's phone number is in there as well."
"Ok, don't take too long." Samantha felt worried very suddenly and watched as Frozen rushed out of the doorway and down the hall. She watched as several staff ran past the door as well as her father. She wondered what was happening and if she didn't feel the importance of her blood transfusion was top priority, she would have gone to look as well.
------------
Frozen stepped outside underneath a dark cloud and quickly ran down to Angel Eyes who was standing at the top of the hill just behind a wall near the gravel. "Whats going on?"
"Look." He pointed up towards the sky which was blackened by clouds, several flashes of thunder, and what appeared to be an incoming storm.
"So? It's going to rain, that's not very important."
"Look again, there's something up in those clouds." Jason commented and pointed slightly more directly at what exactly it was they meant."Looks like a trade lane sort of." He watched as the object continued to get closer. The storm seemed to be caused by the tradelane like object. It continued to close until it suddenly stopped above the gravel shoreline.
"So are we just going to stand here like idiots gaping at something flying in the sky or what?" Frozen's father suddenly appeared behind him. "Just because you've never seen it before doesn't mean you should just...stand there!" As if jarred by his words, the object began to activate. A small glowing ring appeared in the middle of it and the clouds began to seperate slightly. A moment later the four small objects began to glow with a great intensity and the similarity dissapeared as they began to spin around. Frozen noticed that they were attached to something else with small poles and other similiar objects that were spinning as well.
"They look like...magnets." Angel Eyes finnally spoke up and just as he did something came into clear sight. It appeared as though it might hit the planet with such a force that there would be nothing left of them, but, just as it hit the final circle of objects, it slowed to almost a halt. It appeared to be a very large suit of powered armor. When the head of it had left the circle of energy, it dropped like a rock and slammed into the gravel barely staying on it's feet. For the moment it appeared to be inactive, but a bolt of lightning came down and stuck it several times before it began to humm.
"Ah ****, everyone get behind some cover!" Jason didn't wait for the thing to start up, instead he shouldered his new favorite weapon and aimed, gripping as tightly as he could and watched as a round tore the sky itself as it traveled directly into the activating machine's chest. It had enough force to knock the machine over and for a moment it looked like it was dead.
"You idiot! We're not told to fire first! We're mercenaries remember?" Angel Eyes slapped Jason on the back of the head.
"It's not dead." Frozen stated aloud.
"What? He just slammed that hunk of metal."
Frozen turned toward him, his eyes glowing yellow. "Did you hear me? It's not dead. When you ride in one of those for several years you know when 'It's dead'." Angel Eyes looked shocked and his eyes looked up toward the soundless machine. The humming came again as thought a generator was being charged up and the humanoid armor gripped the gravel as it sat up in defiance. Several yellow lights began to glow around the chest and head area and it became clear that the shot hadn't even dented it.
"I just shot that thing with my new rail gun! It's almost as good as a MAG. BULL****!" Jason slammed his fist into the wall and chipped it. "Even tanks get dented by rail guns!"
"Well, tank's are made out of almost all metal but other than that, they're basically the same. Filled with hydraulic fluid and cryo fluid." He pointed to canisters on it's back. "And only people with cryo blood can survive in that cold temperature."
Jason stood up with his foot on the wall and his other one planted firmly on the ground. The powered armor stood fully up and it became clear that it too had a shoulder mounted weapon. "How about this you son of a *****!" Jason fired another round and this one landed dead center in the powered armor's forehead. It only served to send the machine's head back slightly before it looked forward again. "No way..."
The machine suddenly began to speak in a semi sort of human cyborg way. "BFM - unit deploying. Primary objective......Ensure Experiment Remains Prepared." The powered armor took a step forward with a very slow and exageratted step. The shoulder mounted weapon began to glow as the top part filled with water, the gun acted as a sort of hotplate and the water began to boil. A yellowish fluid was then injected into the cylinder and the water became a mix of hot yellowish liquid.
"What the hell is that?" Jason looked over toward Frozen.
"In simplified terms, a fireball cannon."
"Ah, ****." Jason turned around toward all the men that were taking cover. "Open Fire!" A moment later the air was filled with gunfire of all kinds, the shots only served to slow the machine in it's path. It showed no signs of stopping as the mixture of fluids began to glow a bright color from the incredible heat, the gun was also glowing red hot at certain areas. An odd colored liquid began to pump into the compartment and Jason knew they were out of time.
------------
Samantha smiled as the doctor patted her on the head. "Well now all I have to do is get ready for the operation. I'm sure everything is ok out there." The doctor backed up out of the doorway and was just about to turn around when the space that was behind him lit up a bright orangish color. Samantha could feel the heat on her face and had to close her eyes for a moment before opening them. A moment later she opened her eyes and spotted the doctor who appeared unharmed, but as she watched him fall down she noticed that the fireball had melted more than half of him. Samantha felt her stomach twist and she almost threw up, forcing herself to close her eyes and look away.
--------------
Jason looked over to his left where the wall had literally been turned to lava and resolidified. He had been only inches away from the same fate and literally felt grooves in his armor where it had been partially melted. He resumed his Kneeling stance and replaced his hand on his weapon, watching as the power armor began to get close to them."How many times can that gun fire?"
"I have no idea." Frozen stated as he looked over the wall.
"But I do." Angel Eyes stated as he ran out directly in front of the suit of powered armor. "Over here tin can!" He waved his arms and of course was noticed by the suit of armor which stood only a few feet over him. A blue fluid quickly sprayed out and over the entire gun followed by it immediately heating up again, water injecting into the canister again. The yellow fluid quickly appeared as the gun aimed directly at him.
"What the hell are you doing?!" Jason didn't fire for fear he might hit Angel Eyes.
"Comon, you can hit me with that big old gun of yours!" He watched as the red fluid began to pump in and thats when he pulled out his pistol and opened fire on the coolant canister next to the gun. It burst open and coolant spilled all over the hot gun causing the metal to crack and fail, the heated liquid began to spill out slightly, but mostly stayed put right inside the cylinder. A moment later the liquid turned completely oranged and exploded causing the massive power armor to lose it's whole left side and fall over on it's right side. Blue liquid spilled all over as the powered armor's arm fell off and a moment later, exploded as well.
"Yeah! That's using your head Angel Eyes." Jason shouted as he ran up to the machine and kicked it hard in the shin.
"Hey, why did it's arm explode?"
"Failsafe so that it's technology doesn't fall into our hands." Frozen's father stated.
"Then why didn't it's body explode?" Jason backed away from it in case it did and after a moment, the blue fluid stopped leaking and the armor began to glow again. Using it's one good arm, the suit of armor began to stand up again.
"You're kidding me....it's head it half gone!" Jason lifted his gun up but before he could fire, the powered armor unexpectedly grabbed the weapon and crushed it while it was still on his shoulder.
"Pri.Pri.Pri. Mary objective complete. Retrieving target." The powered armor lifted Jason and calmly tossed him to the side. Another one of the cannon's rose from the it's remaining shoulder and began to charge. This time however, the canister on the other side had drained out in an attempt to replace lost cryo fluid.
-------------
Samantha had managed to step out over the dead man and looked into the burnt hallway. The walls had been charred or melted and the remainder of the facility had been blown to nothingness. She looked down the hallway towards the exit of the facility where the fireball had come from and spotted something glowing. A moment later and it stepped into the light, a suit of armor with half of it's body missing. On the remaining half of the body she spotted it's name, Bold Full Metal. It rung a bell in her head but she couldn't think for the moment as it drew closer to her, something on it's shoulder was glowing an intense yellow color.
"Come with me Ms. Grey." The armor held out it's hand as though to grab her but she quickly ducked into a seperate room that the suit of armor had trouble fitting in. It dissapeared for a moment and it got quiet. A second later and the ceiling to the place disintegrated as another fireball burst over her head. She crawled as far into the corner as she could go and watched as the terrifying armor approached her. "You must fullfill your destiny Ms. Grey." She could hear people at the window screaming something about being unable to get inside and to climb onto the roof, but Samantha could only see the armor getting closer to her.
"No! I don't want to go with you!"
"Samantha, you know me....we went to school together. Come with me and everything will be alright." She recognized the voice and she felt even more afraid. She noticed behind the armor a man in bandages slowly sliding closer to the two, she had to make sure that it didn't notice.
"Oh no, what have they done to you?" The armor seemed shocked for a moment as though it had actually felt what she had said.
"They made me stronger. I must support my clan and you must support your clan like your mother did. She refused and she had to die." The armor put it's hand out again. "Samantha, I don't want to have to kill you too."
"You owe me a bottle of alcohol AND a C4 charge." Samantha could hear a small clicking sound followed by a large explosion. She watched as the armor's chest exploded causing it to fall over.
"Sa.Sa.Sa.Sa.Samantha......They...will...be back." The powered armor finnally began to fade for a moment before it began to glow a light blueish color followed by a small explosion over several parts of it's body, enough to destroy all forms of technology, but not enough to create havoc.
"I'm sorry Bold. My mother told me, you had died in your mech's explosion, but I guess not. I hope now you can finnally rest." Samantha looked up towards the man with the bandages all over his body as he approached her.
"Next time...Don't break out without me."
"Alright, the doctor will see you now Ms. Grey." A lady appeared out of nowhere from behind the counter and fixed her glasses.
