The Cipriani Family History

The Cipriani Familys history is indeed a curios one.

It starts of 27 years ago. An Outcast Patrol on routine patrol consisting of ace fighter Captain Carmen Cordero and her wingmen Rosa Cordora and Julian Hernandez in the Omicron Alpha system. Just as they were about to head back to Planet Malta, they spot an escape pod drifting near The Hispania sleeper ship wreck. Captain Carmen Cordero decides to go check it out, upon reaching the escape pod Julian Hernandez scans the escape pod oddly enough he finds that there are two life forms aboard the escape pod, but the life support systems are critical. The Captain tries to see if there are any remains of a ship near by but nothing. So she decides to tractor the escape pod in and sets a course for Planet Malta. She advises her superiors on Planet Malta about the situation so that they can prepare emergency crews at the hanger upon her arrival. She arrives at the docking rings of Planet Malta and goes through emergency docking procedures.

Once landed and in the hanger the emergency crews unload the escape pod and rush to open it only to find two little boys in cold sleep, hibernation. The emergency medical crew immediately takes the little boys and they are rushed to the medical ward. In the meanwhile Captain Cordero got out of her ship was watching all the commotion as it unfolded.

After a little while when things calmed down she decides to go take a look at the escape pod. To her surprise she finds a book whom its title is The Cipriani Hierarchy but its locked with some strange lock mechanism and a strange medal inside a hidden compartment in the escape pod. In the meantime her wingmen Rosa Cordora and Julian Hernandez docked and got out of their ship in a nearby hanger. They arrive in the hanger where the Captains ship is. They see the Captain near the escape pod, they remind her that they need to go to debriefing. She quickly and making sure no one sees her grabs the book and the medal and heads of to debriefing.

In debriefing they explain what happened, but she did not mention the book and medal for some reason. She asks her superiors what will happen to the two little boys and asks if she can take care of them when and if they wake up.

In the meantime in the medical ward the medical team starts to analyze the two boys to see if their ok. But their life function seems to be deteriorating the doctors quickly decide to use an experimental treatment of heavy cardamine dosage, but it comes with a risk they need to stay on the high dosage of cardamine for the rest of their lives if they woke up. Oddly enough they react quite well to the treatment, but remained in deep sleep.

About 3 months later they start showing signs of waking up. The one that seems to be the eldest of the two wakes up confused, dizzy, feels weird but thats due to the heavy cardamine treatment and not much later the smaller one also wakes up. The doctors quickly send word to high command of this and are ordered to keep close watch over them.

The eldest of the two boys starts to ask all sorts of questions of how they got there, where were their parents, what has happened, questions that any confused little boy would ask. After a while they calm down and doctor starts to ask them their name, age, where they came from, etc.

The eldest answered; Im Mario Cipriani and this is my little brother Guido Cipriani, Im five years old and he is three., after that he stays quite for a while than says I dont remember where we are from.. That is all he could remember, due to have suffered from amnesia the doctors concluded. After that it stays quite again.

In the meantime word quickly reaches Captain Cordero ears. She quickly contacts high command to see what will become of these two boys. They tell her that; The two boys will be under supervision for the time being and after that if nothing seems to be wrong we will send them to you in your care if that is still what u desire. She quickly replies with a Yes.

The captain retired from the Maltese navy to live on cardamine rich farms that she bought with what she has saved over the years serving the Outcasts and to take care of the two boys.

As the years passed by the two boys grew attached to the captain, the outcast ways of living, even though they needed a constant high dosage of cardamine, but they live and it is thanks to the Outcasts.

Both were now grown man. The boys ran the farms and owned several ships, a Pirate Train, a Saber and most recently acquired a Falcatta. The two boys switched now and than piloting the Pirate Train smuggling Cardamine from their fields into Siruis. On the other hand Guido was more into the Sabre and Mario was more into the Falcatta. Both are excellent pilots as they had learned from the Captain. They now defend Omicron Alpha with all their might and heart.

As Mario turned 25, Guido and Mario were called by the Captain. As they came to where the Captain was they felt strange as she handed them the book and the medal she found in the escape pod 20 years ago.

As they touched the book the strange locking system reacted.

As they touched the book the strange locking system reacted. It clicked and opened up. So the two boys decide to open it and see the contents.

As they started reading, they were startled, the captain was now worried, because it is the first time she has seen the two like that. She asks; What is it, what is the matter?

Then both Mario and Guido turned towards the Captain and started to explain what they just found out. The book explained their origins, their past and where they came from. She was shocked with what she just heard from the two boys.

The two boys were genetically altered, by what was a secret organization at the time that goes by the name The Cipriani.

It was a secret project; they were to create genetically altered soldiers. They would have extraordinary senses, enhanced reflexes, sight, and power. They were to be used by the Alliance forces in the war against the Coalition.

As stated in the book only two specimen were successfully genetically altered, without any side effects. They would be named after the organization as they were their creator. Mario Cipriani was the name of the older one of the two and Guido Cipriani would be the name of the youngest.

All this happened five years before the Sleeper ships and the Sirius Sector.

Now they knew what they are, which in a strange case makes a lot of sense. It would explain them feeling different from the normal Outcasts. The Outcasts are also enhanced, but by different means the cardamine. But Mario and Guido were above any normal Outcast and they also get heavy cardamine dosage.

As they kept reading the book learning more about The Cipriani, their past and how they came to having all those extraordinary skills.

The Cipriani thought of themselves of beings of more capacity, importance, above the normal alliance population at the time. In a matter of speaking they thought of themselves as supreme beings and allowed to play god and genetically alter people. As they have successfully proven to be able to alter people trough genetics.
They monitored the two boys as they grew up. Five years after their successful break. They were cut short due to the coalition having broken through and they were closing in on the Sol system.

In desperation, the Alliance secretly constructed five sleeper ships in the hopes of fleeing the Sol System with millions of colonists to begin a new civilization free from the strife and prejudices that had plagued Sol for so long. Each sleeper ship was christened after it is patron nation. The five ships were the Bretonia (holding British colonists), the Rheinland (holding German colonists), the Hispania (holding Spanish colonists), the Kusari (holding Japanese colonists), and the Liberty (holding American colonists).

The Cipriani made arrangements so that the two boys would be safe from the Coalition onslaught. They had arraigned a specialized escape pod for them. They quickly arranged a book with a special biometric locking mechanism that would only react to one of the two boys if they would survive. The book would explain to them why they felt so different in comparison to other humans, explain their origins and they also gave them a Cipriani crest. They chose the Hispania as the sleeper ship of choice.

As the five sleeper ships launched from one of the moons of Jupiter, a Coalition fleet arrived and attacked the sleeper ships. They broke through the Coalition blockade and headed for the Sirius Sector.

After the sleeper ships arrived in Sirius, they went their separate ways. The first ship to arrive was the Liberty, one year after the Exodus. They settled in the center of the Sirius System where they took advantage of the high amount of Earth-like planets, main sequence stars, and metal-abundant asteroid fields. It is said that the Liberty launched before the other ships to arrive in Sirius first, so they could choose the best place to settle before any other ship would arrive. The Rheinland arrived 3 years after the Exodus and settled near the Walker Nebula to take advantage of its high amount of metal deposits. They founded Planet New Berlin. Shortly after, the Kusari arrived and settled in the Crow Nebula, where they took advantage of the large amount of gases to make H-Fuel, a necessary fuel for ships. They founded Planet New Tokyo. The Bretonia was the last to arrive because its starboard engines were damaged by the Coalition during the Exodus. They were forced to travel slower than the other ships and arrived 20 years after the Exodus. Since the most favorable areas were already settled in by the Liberty, Rheinland, and Kusari, the Bretonia was forced to settle in the Barrier Nebula, a giant belt of ice asteroids that had very few hospitable planets. This was a very unfavorable place to settle, but the Bretonia managed to make the best of it by taking advantage of the abundant amount of asteroids containing metal. They founded Planet New London. The Hispania however was sabotaged. A Coalition saboteur on the Hispania completely destroys its engines, waking the colonists. Half of them decide to use the escape pods to finish the journey to Sirius. They leave the Hispania, land on the Planet Crete, and become the Corsairs. The other half took their chances with the wreck and kept it working while it drifted into Sirius. The Hispania couldn't land, so the remaining colonists used the remaining escape pods that hadn't been used by the Corsairs to land on Planet Malta. These colonists became the Outcasts. The wreck of the Hispania still drifts in orbit around Planet Malta. At first, the colonists thought that a member of the other sleeper ships had sabotaged the Hispania to eliminate the competition to settle in the more desirable parts of Sirius, which was part of the reason why the Corsairs and the Outcasts wanted to destroy the Houses. However, when the Sirius Coalition Revolutionary Army was discovered, the Hispanians realized that it was them who sabotaged the Hispania, but this still didn't change anything between the Corsairs and Outcasts and the Houses.

789 A.S. the story of The Cipriani Brothers is born.
