Short Ship Biography

The Hotaru was commissioned in 813 AS and was finished in 814 AS, then being stuck in dry dock for 12 months as it waited for an mission from the Kusari Naval Forces command. It wasnt until 815 AS that she got one. The captain was to be Kiyomi Devereux, with her two sisters as second in command and Navigational officer. Ayame Devereux, the middle child, was placed second in command and the younger of the three, Takara, was to be the Navigational officer.
Of course these two were merely the first of the large crew, a tactical officer, communications officer needed to be appointed, not to mention the science officer and the medical doctor.
The Hotaru was the first of her kind, not built for war, but to instead cruise throught the Kusarian empire, searching systems for irregularities, threats, and sometimes useful weapons for the ongoing war between Kusari and Bretonia. Becuase of this, her weapons were slightly altered for her specific task. The two standard missile tubes were removed, and replaced with secondary Kusari energy cannons, designed to fight off small ships while not using up ammunition or energy in large amounts. Her engines were tuned for maximum efficiency over long distances, and her scanners were rumored to be the best in Sirius.
The armor was a new design of the Kusarian Research and Development labs, regenerative armor. Using a multi-spectural energy field, while not in combat the hull could regnerate by sending energy pulses through it in specific directions. The metal would fuse over cracks or stress points. This, along with the smart heads of the crew and commanding officers, made the Hotaru a force to be reckoned with, warship or not.

Name: Kiyomi Devereux
Age: 31

Kiyomi Devereux was born with her two sisters on Planet Honshu, Kiyomi's mother disapeared after Takara was born, she was a gentle woman with many good attributes, she was kind, funny and was beautiful. Their father, Kaito decided to give the girls their mothers last name; Devereux. Which was... A little unusual, but beautiful.
As Kiyomi grew up, she showed her father that when it came to the three sisters, she was in charge. They all fell behind her in everything. Together they did everything, homework, played and even discussed boys.
As she came old enough for university she decided to go for the millitary academy, cause of her fathers own millitary service. She grew to become a fierce pilot and soldier, not to mention an leader. After 10 years she got her own command, over the Hotaru.





Second in command/Helmsman

Name: Ayame Devereux
Age: 29
Years in service: 8

Ayame was always fascinated, since she was 2, of the stars. She admired them, their beauty and splendor. When her father at a young age, took her up into a shuttle, she steered and loved the thrill of flying a space ship. This was the main reason she as her sisters enlisted into the Navy. She was the most agressive of the three, she never admitted anything, unless she really had to.
In the service she was mainly a pilot, but as her sister got into the academy and started to study to become a commanding officer, she herself studied to become a commander and helmsman.
As her sister got command of the Hotaru, she was asked to go with her, she agreed without hesitation.





Navigational Officer

Name: Takara Devereux
Age: 25
Years in service: 5

Takara was a quiet child, always following her sisters in what ever they where doing. She always smiled and was happy, never angered or annoyed anyone. She was perfect in many ways, alltough she herself saw herself as a coward, and ever since she could remember she tried to become more courageous and speak her mind. But as her sisters went into service she studied astronomy and navigation at the science institute, alltough when she turned 20 she got the chance to get into the millitary academy and she wasnted to be close to her sisters, so she signed up for the astronomy program, where she could become an navigational officer.





Tactical Officer

Name: Kenta Inoue
Age: 31
Years in service: 11

Kenta has been working ever since he was at a young age in a Dojo, with his father at perfecting the ancient martial arts that his father teached at the Inoue Dojo. When he turned 20 he enlisted and he was in the service for 4 years, serving the emporor as a soldier, then he ventured into the Academy to become a Tactical officer, tactics, strategies and advice on to handle dangerous situations that was what he was good at.





Science Officer

Name: Kyo Kai
Age: 28
Years in service: 5

Kyo's parents died shortly after he was born and he spent most of his youth in a orphanage, it wasnt until he was 6 when the orphanage people discovered his bright mind. He had a superior mental intelligence compared to the rest of the 6 year olds, he was more like a 14 year old. He got into a good school at 7 and got high marks in everything, at 13 he finished junior school and got into high school, there he only spent 2 years and got into a university at 15. At 17 he had completed most of his subjects with highest grades, alltough he decided not to follow trough with more schools and decided to pursue a millitary way of life. There he soon became one of the brightest minds within the Millitary academy, he shortly became the number one Science student and at the age of 28 he was put as the science officer onboard the Hotaru.





Communications/Foreign Relation Officer

Name: Hayate Fujiwara
Age: 35
Years in service: 8

Hayate was born on Manhattan as his father left him and his mother there, alltough Hayate only spent his teens there, then he moved back to Kusari and joined the millitary. He had a good way for languages and social behavior, he knew what he had to to survive in most of the Houses.
He shortly after joining became a communications officer onboard the Recon Destroyer: Hotaru.





Cheif Medical Officer

Name: Kenji Ono
Age: 32
Years in service: 2

Kenji was a medical student in the New Tokyo Acedemy, he as his father where doctors. Alltough his mother was a Millitary officer for the Kusari Navy, which his father disliked.
Kenji had decided as he studied to become a doctor to become a Naval Officer, not only being a millitary medic, or doctor, but one of high standing within the Navy.
His dream came trough as the Hotaru was to be set out on its voyage when the Captain, Kiyomi Devereux contacted Kenji and asked him to accompany them on their voyage.
