As of the 20th of August, the Government has initiated a rationing scheme for the following items:

Item	Allowed amount
Bacon & Ham	4 oz
Other meat	value of 1 shilling and 2 pence (equivalent to 2 chops)
Butter	2 oz
Cheese	2 oz
Margarine	4 oz
Cooking fat	4 oz
Milk	5 pints
Sugar	No longer rationed
Preserves	1 lb every 2 months
Tea	No longer rationed
Eggs	3 fresh eggs (plus allowance of dried egg)
Sweets	12 oz every 4 weeks
Medicine	At your Doctor's discretion
Bread	4Ib per week
Flour	1Ib per week
Potatoes	1Ib per week

These rations will be strictly enforced while in effect. Report to your local post office, railway station or village office to receive ration booklets and your weekly food stamps.

As of the 19th of December, the Government has initiated the following changes to the rationing scheme for the following items:

Tea will no longer be subject to rationing.
Sugar will no longer be subject to rationing.
Milk allowance has been increased from 3 pints to 5.
Egg allowance has been increased from 1 to 3.

These rations will be strictly enforced while in effect. Report to your local post office, railway station or village office to receive ration booklets and your weekly food stamps.
