Bonjour,

I have been appointed Commande de Retrait d'Urgence, heretofore referred to as CRU. This is in accordance with orders left behind by our chief of staff Amiral Chanteloup.

Favager rubs a weary hand across his unshaven face. His silver whiskers scrape over calloused, burned palms. His eyes are empty.

It is easy to be the victor. We have fought long and hard. It has been a terrible war and I know that not one of us has been spared the trauma which... which we have inflicted not only on others, but ourselves.

It is far more difficult to have victory taken away at the last moment. Currently there are enclaves of ultranationalist captains taking their ships to fortified locations at our front line. There are others who have defected, gone rogue, or simply disappeared.

We will be going home. We are sailors and we took an oath to uphold the lawful orders of those appointed to issue them. The continuity of government exists within the pro-peace faction of the Duchy of Burgundy.

And so to Burgundy we will return.

All assets of the MRG are hereby instructed to report in to me if they intend to obey our lawful orders to return to Burgundy. If so, inform me as to which assets you will be taking with you and what route you intend to take.

I have assets under my command which are marked for escort duty along the primary corridors of retreat. These will be disbursed at a later time.

Glory to Gallia, and Long Live Gallia.

*The screen flashes with Fontaine's comm-sig momentarily, then reveals the man himself.

Bonjour.

I believe my stance on this matter is already clear.

In addition to la Algerie and the fighter craft within, la Force Majeure et la Felin Majestique will be under my direct authority for the purposes of this return to Gallia. There may be additional secondary craft which also require oversight.

That is all.

Bonsoir Commandement,

L'Alsace-Lorraine, as well as the Dunkerque which stands under my command and the fighter craft held within will abide by the oaths we have taken and return to Burgundy. We aim to take the shortest route there and arrive rapidement.

Respectueusement,

Félix Lacroix

I will, of course, follow orders and keep to my oath. I will report to Burgundy as ordered. I will be bringing only a single Plier-class patrol ship, as it was the only ship I was able to take from Leeds before the bombardment began. I do have one request, however. Before I report to Burgundy, I would like to take a few days to visit my family on Marseille. As they reside in one of the sunken cities, communication has often been inconsistent and I haven't seen them since before I left Gallia for the front lines.

Ah ! A chance to throw a party !

Capitaine de vaisseau Florentin reporting to you, monsieur. I am taking Le Concorde and, well, er, most of her crew, with me. We've dropped the rest off on a shuttle to Bordeaux, not entirely by their own will, but we should be learning at least some democratic values now, no ? Oh, by the way, we're also taking La Rochelle with us. Seems they've done the same, but to their captain, some person called Marat, and then tagged along. I'm sure the shuttles will make it, but that won't be their salvation, no... No wine on Bordeaux, none at all, despite the name ! Jungles, forests, a good place for those genocidal apes, but not a place to throw parties on. Not unless you wish to get yourself tangled in lianas while trying to dance...

So what if it is the end of the world, mesieurs ? Sit and mourn ? Drown in your own ocean of melancholy ? Non ! I say, let's throw a party when we're all gathered on Nevers ! For all I know, the next chance might be never ! Ahahahahaha ! Oh, the pun !

Bonsoir

Today I learned that the MRG has made its choice and I respect it
But unfortunately I do not agree with them. So I decided to stay in Bordeaux and join the ranks of the enclave.
Those choices were very difficult for me to forget my friends.

It has been an honor to serve in your ranks

Bonjour,

Maître Yoann Petrelle reporting to you, monsieur.

At the beginning, I joined the Marine Royale in order to protect the nation of Gallia as a whole. With the recent events I have been confused by all the actions of the Royal Navy against his people and I assume I am not the only one. But my will to serve the true gallic nation is intact.

Therefore I am setting a route to return to Burgundy system and follow the retreat of the Marine Royale. I have a "Serval" fighter, but I am not alone. During the travel, I will be alongside the RNS-Dagonet, a former Royal Navy reservist, "Obstinate" class Battlecruiser. For now, the ship is still identified as a part of the Royal Enclave since the fracture in the gallic forces. But her captain, Alix Delannoy, and her crew, are feeling the same way as I am, and wish to go back to their true home.

Our ships will set sail to the Languedoc system at first. We will then join the other Marine Royale forces in Burgundy.

Monsieur,

After the recent events in Leeds, My desire to fight Liberty is no more. I Only my family left, and I refuse to die for a mad king away from my mother .

I inform you that I am fleeing into the Burgundy system to escape the Enclave. However, before my arrival, I would like to make a detour to Orléans to see my mother and take her to Burgundy with me. I will therefore head to Monte-Carlo Freeport until the situation with the Council is resolved. Then I'll go to Orléans and finally the Burgundy system.

Bonjour.

Finally, after many years of war, it is time for us to go home.
Myself, aswell as the rest of the Soleil Royal battlegroup are ready to follow you to Burgundy. However, we'd do best abonding the remaining forces of the mad King, to avoid unneccesary conflicts.
Capitaine de vaisseau Alaric Jean-Paul Favager d'Astier, I advice we meet soon to discuss the safest route back into Gallic core space.

In the battle of New London, the battlegroups under my command have suffered severe casualities. The Die battlegroup has been completely destroyed, the remaining fightercraft has not been seen yet. The Soleil Royal itself is damaged, but we expect it to be capable of flying the way back to Burgundy, and to the next shipyard.
I advice to hurry up this operation, capitaine. Other forces might even be in a worse shape than mine.

I am looking forward to your response, and for your aid in those dark times. Bring our people home. Bring the tyranny to an end, once and for all.

Sincèrement

Marine Royal Gauloise, Contre-amiral Louis Clement.

Bonjour,

This is a repeat of my prior message in the capacity as CRU that all forces of the Marine should inform me of their status and make preparations to sail immediately. We will be moving in several convoys under escort from reserve forces earmarked specifically for this endeavor. Any military assets not reporting in to the CRU will not be included in our timetables and the deteriorating political situations means that you may not have the opportunity to return home in the near future.

Make your decisions and report in, or be left behind.

To my comrade, Contre-amiral Clement, we should make arrangements to meet our vessels at best possible speed. There is much to discuss. The same goes for all others who require direct support or communication; for the time being of this operation, the Chanzy has no other duty than to facilitate our withdrawal.

Glory to Gallia, and Long Live Gallia.
