Shirogane Trading Company is currently a Honshu based corporation aimed at the goal of entirely neutral trade, able to supply factions with things they would not be able to attain normally. Despite it's status as a small business that was quickly destroyed by Kishiro's quick rise to the top, the company originally ran the extreme runs between systems that were commonplace during the period before Jump Gates and Trade Lanes. After having it's mortgaged properties payed off, it's debts cleared, and its copyrights and trademarks bought by unknown investors, Shirogane has now been targeted at the goal of making inter-house trade through uneasy tensions possible, and of procuring rare materials from deep space, outside of house influence. While based in Honshu, Shirogane hopes to be Sirius wide in short order, and able to bring the fruits of effort to all.

Shirogane is a legal front company of Commune, targeted at obtaining materials and money for the Commune and Infested groups. Shirogane's main intent is to not only establish trade between Commune and Lawful organisations, but also between Commune and house Underworlds. Shirogane will be used to fund certain endeavors of the Commune, once it has gotten on it's feet and established itself.

In reflection of the nature of the aliens that they truly serve, Shirogane is opportunistically-parasitic in nature. Quick to strike deals and copy the technology of any entity they come in contact with, a Shirogane associate, often times hidden, is not a rare sight on a Freeport or civilian station or planet. After assisting Daumann in trade convoys, Shirogane was quick to setup an office within the heart of the Rheinland itself. Their ever-present, yet seemingly evasive existence is a marvel to behold, and the rapidity with which they buy, copy, and employ the technology of their surroundings is even more impressive.

A tall man who never takes off his night-combat mask, the deep, menacing voice of Ghods Charles al'Demichase leads Shirogane. Little is known about this man or where he came from, as he has no registered citizenship in any house, and his name appears on no records Sirius-wide.

A woman as beautiful as the aurora in the night yet as deadly as a black widow who charmed her pray. Not much is known about her, as the former leader of the Commune Terminus cell she understands how to develop the deadliest weapons or the most advanced technology.

Hayao Miyazaki is a flagship board. He graduated from New Tokyo Business School as the best of the year and worked for Kishiro Technologies in the lower management levels for many years.
Shirogane Trading Company's offer to become the official head of the Transport division was tempting enough to change employers.
The fact that he is still not a member of the board of directors, but that even in the transport division he still has an unofficial supervisor, does not bother him much, as Patriarch Müller only very rarely interferes in day-to-day business. To be precise, Hayao Miyazaki even sees advantages in this silent superior, because in the event of a complication he has someone to blame.

Patriarch Müller is a deeply religious man. He is one of the last priests of the Church of Knowledge that advocates peace through education.
How and why he holds such a position within the Shirogane Trading Company such a task is hardly known outside the management circle, which is also one of the reasons why the considerably more presentable Hayao Miyazaki performs this task externally.

Jonny was born to a middle class family on Planet Manhattan. After reaching his 21st birthday, he set out to make a life for himself as a freelancer with his main goal to explore the unknown systems.
Whist visiting his family he got kidnapped and forced to work in the Pittsburgh mines. Even with the improper tools and equipment he always managed to make a tool that was more efficient and durable to preform his tasks. This skill was quickly recognized and he was taken off world by a hapless captain to help reinforce his ship with minimal supplies after a week of crafting and welding he had reinforced the Hegemon with armour that would make a destroyer blush.

Because we wanted outside players to be part of this. Innocent souls working in a business, but unknowingly benefiting a cause that is not that innocent.

How is this different from other underground factions, such as Junkers or Hogosha?

1) We interface with Nomads and Wild, with the ability to bring different kinds of materials to them, especially when we become independent of FL ID.
2) We are not interested in competing with them, and instead aim to be able to trade with both them and their enemies, benefiting everyone at the cost of a few misdirections, lies, and distractions here and there.
3) We are going to be questionable legals, not open quasi-legals. We'd be in the same standing as other corporations with the houses, and our deals with unlawful forces will be entirely under the table.
4) Our Rep sheets will be vastly different, and primarily targeted at being a second choice opposed to large shipping companies. ie. Deep in the Omicrons, where it is too dangerous to bring such things, or transporting things in 5kers that other factions don't have, once we have access.
5) We are not militant, outside of self-defense, and will not use anything larger than gunship class, if even that.
6) I find the prospect of asking nomads for transport defense hilarious, and you can't do that with Junkers.

Won't this be really overpowered?

I don't think so, given that everyone will be oorp hunting us and trying to find evidence that we aren't squeaky clean corporation. For the first little bit, before people actually start caring, we will be. After that, we'll be at the same relative power as Bunters, if they were powertraders: Probably banned in 2 houses, definitely banned in a third.

Perhaps. But the best stories aren't started by being cautious, and only going when the stars align. Given that this is a RP server, I think a good story will give everyone a bit of fun.
