Weapon Development: Kamikaze

New invaders have landed on the shores of Kyushu, this time it is the Coalition, just as Kublai Kahn once attempted to do. And just as the Kamikaze destroyed the Mongol fleet, so shall our Kamikaze destroy these new invaders. And so we have set up our new weapon project: Kamikaze
Project Kamikaze will use a freighter to carry the payload to the target. The payload will consist of two bombs that together will fill the entirety of the cargo hold.
The first bomb will carry the plutonium we retrieved from Samura. It uses a bullet mechanism featuring a plutonium 'bullet' and a plutonium core. When the bombs is triggered, it will force the plutonium bullet into the missile's core, which will make it reach critical mass and detonate the warhead.
The explosion will cause a electromagnetic pulse which will render electronics, without proper protection, permanently damaged. A fraction of a second later, a nuclear shockwave will follow, destroying everything in its path. This devastation will have an estimated range of 5k.
The second bomb will detonate a fraction of a second after the first. Filled with tungsten shards, it will will act as a pipe bomb and pierce through the deshielded and weakened hull of the target. Tungsten has been chosen because of its armor piercing capabilities, high melting point and high density. The tungsten shard bomb will be significantly larger than the plutonium bomb and the blasts have been timed accurately to provide maximum devastation.
The tungsten outer casing of the second bomb is designed to last long enough in the initial nuclear explosion to detonate on schedule.
