If You Need More Installation Help:
- Only downloading the Freelancer file will not allow you to play only the original Freelancer game. It's not a complete file.
- Windows 8 or older users may need to update their Microsoft .NET Framework to successfully launch Discovery. Follow this 20 second video
- You can find the Discovery Launcher by typing in "Discovery" into your Windows search bar. You must use this launcher to play.
- Do not select your original Freelancer folder as a destination when installing Discovery Freelancer. Doing so can corrupt the install.
- You will need Direct Play enabled to play. Windows 10 + 11 users should be automatically prompted to update. If not, follow this 20 second video
