While this is correct (although looking at other member RP posts isn't necessary) don't let a lack of previous roleplay experience intimidate you Shar00m. RP is really simple and serves to enhance immersion for yourself and those you meet in the game.
When flying online, roleplay can be as simple as avoiding terms like "lol" or "xD" and mentioning real life topics such as politics, video games, celebrities, sports etc.
Basically if a game character wouldn't say it, you should not say it.

hi, Yes, yes, don't be confused, I can assure you, you're on the multiplayer! As a proof, try to write before you shoot, if someone protests, it's ok.
One really useful thing for new players to know is starting off messages with // to indicate an out of roleplay message. We like to keep the local chat clear of it, but if you're struggling to understand a concept, you can message the other player directly asking for help. Most people would welcome the chance to answer a few questions for a new player. Well, the people worth knowing would, at any rate.
