To the Zoners of Freeport 14;

I am Ottilie Schaefer, Acting Director of R&D at ALG. As you are presumably aware, the neuralnet is awash with reports of the dark matter storm due to sweep Alberta and the resolution of the Zoners therein to weather it. Our ships have already made several commercial deliveries of shielding components to your station. My division would now like to offer our technical support in any way useful. In addition, or alternately, we would be honoured to have the chance to fit your station with sensors to record this somewhat rare event for scientific analysis. The data would be placed in the public domain for use by anyone with an interest, including yourselves, naturally.

Let me know what you think.

Madame Schaefer, bonjour.

We're sadly very much aware of the impending storm about to hit us. OSI has been the majority owner and operator of the Freeport for many years now, and it's the centerpiece of our operations in northern Sirius - our transports come here for maintenance and refits, and we have a sizeable ship manufacture on the station itself. It's also a large hub for resource collection, and a sorely needed safe port in the border worlds that lie between the houses, on the frontier of deep space.

You're more than welcome to install your scientific equipment. We have dedicated a hangar bay and installed some external mounting points for our own sensors, as this is a fairly unique opportunity to study the inside of such a storm - you're welcome to install your own equipment next to ours, and we'll join our data to yours for an eventual report, I'm sure there's a few papers to be written there.

Regarding technical support, we've shut down part of our production lines on the station and retasked the engineers and tradesmen operating them to the installation of the shielding systems, as reinforcements to the station's normal maintenance crews. However, more hands are always welcome (to a point, of course - workers are always welcome, but too many engineers will simply create conflict and confusion). In addition, if you have any spare security wings that you could station near the Freeport or on the route to and from the Alberta system, that would be very welcome.

Additionally, we appreciate your help with the deliveries. Most of our fleet was tied up in moving our operations from the orbit of Gran Canaria to Omicron Theta, and so we've had precious little manpower to spare for this crucial task. However, we've noticed that there's been some serious attacks on the convoys by scum wanting to profit and disrupt convoys that are crucial to the survival of the Freeport's population. Would ALG be interested in merging our convoys (and escorts) to try and ward off, or at least reduce, this threat? We're aware that OSI hasn't had the best working relationship with Rheinland in the past, but this would be a good time to smooth things over in the name of cooperation and saving the lives of those onboard the station, and perhaps, who knows, towards more cordial relations in the future.
