Bonjour,

My name is Addison Reynolds, Secretary to the Crayter Quorum. I hope all is faring well, especially under the current circumstances.

Crayter is well aware of the Gallic situation in Languedoc and Lorraine, and we understand that Kusari has pushed hard to ensure their position in Languedoc especially. Kusari appears to be on a blitz of sorts, and has already nationalized our anchorage at Holman. While the Hades and her fleet were thankfully able to make it out without losses, we are now reevaluating our stance against Kusari and observations of their inflow into Gallia has presented us with an opportunity.

Crayter would like to offer to the Confederal Defense Forces our support against our mutual enemy in the Kusari Naval Forces. Crayter maintains a jump connection behind the front lines to Languedoc through Tau-44, and can assist logistically through that gateway. However, this would require a visa through the Confederal government, not just for Crayterian trade vessels but for their escorts as well. Should this be in the interest of the Defense Forces, we would be able to use a word of approval to act as hopefully sufficient reasoning to the visa department of the Confederacy to expedite our support for Gallia in this conflict.

Crayter does not have any requests from the Confederal Defense Forces at this time aside from mutual assistance against a common enemy. The Confederacy has been a touchy subject for Crayter since its formation, but our ties to the Council before lead us to believe that our offer is well placed, and that Crayter and Gallia can work well together against an invading force. The Crayter Military and the MNG have already done well coordinating together in Tau-44, during the short stay of an Enclave battleship some months ago. We look forward to cooperating more.

Secrétaire Reynolds

A large holographic image of Vaillant sitting on his command chair appeared. We could see the old Kingdom of Gallia emblem on the back of the chair as it was not facing the screen. Suddenly, the chair turned in a fast move towards the luminous screen showing up a determined Vaillant holding a glass of wine in his right hand.

I am the Amiral Vaillant of the Marine Nationale. I apology for the late delay, my recent promotion gave me a lot of tasks to do in order to save Gallia! That is surprising how the times can change quickly isn't it?

Now the Crayter Republic and the Confederacy of Gallia are at war with a hornorless invader, trying to expend in the Taus and in the same time to destroy Gallia. You are right, Kusari is executing a blitz, and it is unlikely we can hold Languedoc and Lorraine for a very long time again. Despite our tactical success on the front, and especially in Languedoc, our current forces on the fronts cannot match against their battlegroups yet.

The support of the Crayter Republic will be a great help for us, and that's mutual is it?

I am suggesting to wait before Crayter Republic assisting us in Languedoc. Instead I have a more important proposal for you. Our scouts reported that supply lines of the Kusarians are barely defended, especially in the Taus. It seems they are committing all their energy in pushing through Gallia without paying any intention for their rear. What a terrible mistake!

Here's my suggestion. Since Hades battlegroup is intact, it can perhaps strike back in Tau-31, taking back Barra and thus cutting off Kusari's supply lines in the south spearhead. If it succeeds, a good part of their forces would be trapped and therefore forced to be destroyed or ask capitulation.

This plan should remember what Crayter exactly did soon one year ago against the Royalists forces in the same system, am I right? That's the same here. But the target is the Kusarians. You were looking for some cooperation, here is a good opportunity for it.

Sincèrement

Vaillant greeted with a gesture of the head while the holographic image was disappearing.

Bonjour,

Admiral, let me first congratulate you on your promotion. The fight against Kusari requires able men, and I'm sure your experience will benefit your house greatly.

The Ministry of Defense has indeed postulated the act of coordinating another attack on the Barra Crossroads to cut off the Kusari supply line, but at the moment hits a desperate and unfortunate reality. The Hades only made it out without casualties because she disengaged at the first sign of Kusari mobilization. While capable and strong, Hades and her support fleet would simply be unable to counter any major Kusari capital assets that elect to retort at an assault against their supply lines. With the presence of the Hyono and her fleet in Tau-23, Crayter Military Command concurs that a strike this early into the conflict would create a risk to our security in the Taus, especially for our civilians in Tau-44.

Plans are in motion to reinforce the Hades, however, as well as counter Kusari movements with guerilla strikes against their positions within the Tau systems. Crayter cannot compare to a house in terms of sheer military might, but as evidenced by the Kingdom before we know the Taus and can abuse that knowledge to our advantage.

Logistical support, however, remains our primary approach to supporting Gallia in its defense. We retain connections through Bretonia, and can offer support through the long route into Languedoc to supply the Defense Forces with arms, armor, and other materials critical to the effort. The Crayter Military will continue to monitor the Barra Crossroads to ensure that the strike goes off at Kusari's most critical distance from it, but until that time comes guerilla support is as far as the Ministry is able to fully dedicate while retaining the strength of the Hades and her fleet.

Any further comments or questions can of course be sent my way, and I will try to address them appropriately.

Good luck, Admiral.
