À qui cela concerne,

Let me start this by saying I apologise for the poor quality of this transmission, I've had to route it through our Oerlikon relay in Zurich, its quite a distance but we can't have government eyes prying.

Allow me to introduce myself, I am Véronique Baudelaire, Director of commercial and shipping interests within EFL. Some time ago I recieved a communication from Madame Pomeroy of IDF Shipping, she requested a shipment of Engine Components be brought to Rodez Outpost in Roussillon - I was happy to sign off on this provided a few key questions of mine were answered by the Enclave and the shipment is ready to be delievered, however, I have had no further communications regarding my questions and while I had hoped I would not have to go over the heads of IDF Shipping, the more it is delayed, the less chance you have of getting what you need.

Foremost of the questions was whether or not the Crown held any grudge or ill-will toward EFL as a company, we benefitted greatly from the civil war within Gallia and did as any successful business should, I would like to hope this did not sour your apetite toward working with us and I also hope that there will be no surprises in future should we decide to aid you now.

We are prepared to help provided our employees are given safe passage to and from the Roussillon system and the answer to my question is satisfactory.

Dear Director Baudelaire, my name is Antonin de Lusignan, Commandant to Enclave Defence Authority – one of the two major formations of the Enclave forces. A pleasure.

We appreciate that you wish to negotiate with us without mediators. I’ll answer your question on behalf of the Enclave as a whole.

Your corporation has always been important to the Crown and Gallic society as a whole: the technologies you developed in the past helped to connect the Kingdom's colonies and make them united. Even the political dissidents who wished to ruin the unity and stability of the society with the anarchy they have been tried to bring, could not stop this. Gallic jump gates and trade lanes always were and still remain superior to their Sirius equivalents. We are thankful for your scientists and engineers who keep Gallia competitive.

The extent of our technological advancement was demonstrated by the successful campaign in Sirius. Unfortunately, technology couldn’t save us from traitors within our ranks; those who call themselves the Duchy of Burgundy now. I was at New Paris when the treacherous ceasefire happened; I saw our ability to achieve victory. Not without losses, oui, but there is no war without casualties. We could have ended it in one fight over New Paris and saved the Kingdom.

I do believe I answered the first question in full. However, the question of your people's safety remains open.

The following data should be not shared with personnel not engaged with logistics affairs with the Enclave due to the safety reasons: there are two paths you could use to reach the space under Enclave control.

First one: the passage from the system of Languedoc to Roussillon via Tau-44. Sumatra Cloud shall be one of the threats you are going to face, should you choose this path: it is composed mainly of microscopic ice particles that render most scanners inefficient. It could appear to be useful for a passage from Languedoc to Roussillon. The field contains pockets of volatile oxygen that are extremely dangerous to bypassing ships. Therefore only Armoured Transports or reinforced Vache-class Transports may be a part of such convoys.

I should also mention that the Crayterian Republic and their allies from the Natio Octavarium may be met in the said cloud and therefore this passage should be considered short, but dangerous.e. Our men could provide escort, but this may attract unwanted attention and give our enemies the information that may be used against your corporation.

Another path is longer but safer: your data banks may contain information about the jump hole to the system of Brittany in Gironde. Its position is ever-changing due to the stellar drift. It is still active and stable, therefore can be used often without harm to both the crew health and integrity of the ship. You may meet Outcasts in the system but we do keep the area around the jump hole clean of any unauthorized entities.

Passage through Brittany to Aquitaine and then to Roussillon is indeed longer but safer, as your ships will always be guarded by our escort. In the case of a heavy attack, our patrol fleet may reach you faster, being deployed in the vicinity of our stations in the Hebrides cluster.

As the conclusion: your decision to not support us openly and either do not engage in hostility against us is understandable. However, as you help us back to the full power in Gallia and restore the Kingdom – you may expect to receive benefits and property from those who dared to betray us and side with the "Republic". Serve the Kingdom and its ruler with loyalty, and your prosperity shall never end.

Have I answered all your questions or you would like to ask something else prior to doing business?

Commandant,

I appreciate the swift response, myself and the board find your answers more than satisfactory, I hope your stance is shared by any others within the Enclave that consider themselves in a leadership position.

Nevertheless, I am happy for our armoured transport captains to begin their deliveries using via the Tau-44 system. They are more than capable of avoiding the common pirate and I shouldn't think the Confederacy is particularly concerned with the goings on in that system at this moment in time.

Any and all employees who are involved in our little transaction have been thoroughly vetted, they not only share Royalist sympathies but they have also been required to sign a rather restrictive non-disclosure agreement ontop of receiving monetary compensation for the sensitive nature of the job.

Our transport will either be alone or with only one other. Numbers are kept to a minimum to avoid raising any eyebrows. You will have your engine components very soon, I suggest the dockmaster on Rodez is advised to expect the delivery within the next fourty eight hours.

We can discuss further supplies pending the completion of this task.

Commandant,

My transport captains have advised they've dropped their cargo with your people. A patrol re-routed our vessels to an unmarked base in the Brittany system. Both shipments were direct from Haute-Seine and should be entirely untraceable by the Confederacy, we took all necessary precautions.

I hope they are to your satisfaction and I assume we can look forward to continued business from the Royal Enclave for at least the duration of this war.

Good evening, madame Director.

You have my apologies for the delay in our reply.

We had occupied in dealing with a suddenly increased presence of various criminals in the system of Gironde. Their resistance was ridiculous. Although, we were surprised that these criminals somehow managed to get Zoner Aquillon-class carrier that they tried to use against the Royal Fleet. However, they are no more – their nest has been found and completely destroyed.

I was informed about the delivery of said engine components to our facility in the system of Brittany. You have our gratitude, madame. Every piece has its matter if we want to return Gallia back to its glory. I also do hope you received the payment from the quartermaster of said station, did you?

Nevertheless, let's back to the business.

We could use your assistance in the refit of outpost your pilot had seen before. The said installation requires civilian engineers to participate in increasing the station's capacities. Originally built to serve as an observatory, it went to be too costly in maintenance. We would not like to abandon it or resemble somewhere else, as its purpose is not worth the game now. Therefore, the Command decided to refit this station from the observatory to trade outpost.

However, as long as it holds orbit at the edge of Brittany or elsewhere – we keep wasting our resources to, literally, nowhere. First of all, we will move the said station to a new location. The entire moving operation can be complete without your participation. However, the further refit would be a place to prove that your quality standards have not dropped after the Confederation came to power.

Should you agree, we wish your engineers to arrive directly to this station as soon as possible and take their place in further developing.

So... Do you accept this contract?

Colonel,

Our engineers are among the best in Gallia, I actually take mild offense to the idea that our standards may have dropped since the change in government. If anything, our new found freedom has allowed us to raise standards to a level not previously seen in Gallia, Politicians and Aristocrats meddling in affairs they have little idea of has always caused us a plethora of problems and without that burden we find ourselves perfoming far beyond any previous expectation.

To that end we are willing to aid this little endeavour of yours, although I do wonder what it is you offer us in return for our help, charity only goes so far with me, Colonel, the engine components were a gesture of good faith and I informed our pilots to not take payment for them.

I'll require something a little more concrete this time.

Mesdames et Messieurs.

We've suffered a recent change of leadership in the Enclave Command. Our new command is worrying about those who are on Gaia. With Planet Quillan being under our control, we are willing to invite you to participate in the evacuation of the most vulnerable citizens of the Enclave: women and children. Although many of our women are active naval officers and just regular soldiers, many are still housewives.

Your help in the relocation of our population will be appreciated and gratitude with a coin. Should you agree, proceed to Issoudun shipyard and report to any local quartermaster. Your designation will be Planet Quillan in Languedoc.

Bonsoir, Baronne Perrot.

It's a pleasure to meet you and put a face to those we've been in contact with within the Enclave.

While our operations within the Hebrides are limited and we are still required to keep things sufficiently hidden from the Confederate authorities, acting behind their line in Dauphine should mean we have a little more room to manoeuvre.

I am unable to dispatch our full liner fleet, however I will make available what vessels I can to ensure the evacuees have as comfortable a journey as they possibly can at such a distressing time.

EFL will do what we can to assist you.

It'll be no small task smuggling myself onto Quillan personally although meeting you in person would be wonderful.

I'll arrange to arrive onboard one of our bulk transporters. Languedoc is devoid of Confederate patrols as of this moment, I think I can slip through unnoticed.
