Specific request

Good afternoon, I am Léo Serre, a lieutenant in the Order Overwatch. I joined the organization around a month ago after talking to agent Purple Comet and right after that, I sent an important message about La Division Vipere.
After successful fighter restoration, I also managed to restore records about events that happened a year ago in the Inverness system. Besides, it contains a small database about gallic capital vessels got affected by Ghosts influence during that incident:
  • Battleship: RNS Marseille (was severely damaged)
  • Battlecruiser: RNS Grenoble
  • Destroyers: RNS Cannes, RNS Nimes
  • Gunboats: RNS Beziers, RNS Perpignan, RNS Limoux

Couple of months ago RNS Grenoble and RNS Perpignan were spotted in Taus again and I intented to find out if the crew remained humans or not. To achieve this goal, I asked the center of engineering to restore my old "Lynx"-class Royal Navy fighter and they did their best.
But I am sure, certain changes might be noticed if I come to any Gallic Confederal or Royal station or vessel equipped with modern radars. To avoid possible issues, I need a specific transponder and digital identification capable to hide actual affiliation, and, maybe, advanced software that can guarantee stability and durability against external break-in.

With regards,

Lieutenant Léo Serre

Your request for aid

I bid you a good day.

I am most surprised to hear of this details only now, regardless the nature of them is worrisome. A heavy strike force of this size would be able to cause lots of chaos and hide in the shadows again. I would rather not see diplomatic fallouts in the future due to sudden "Gallic attacks" from this vessels.

Your commitment to investigate the matter at hand further is most welcomed, especially as you already possess a viable tool required for a clean investigation, one of their standard vessels. I have trust in our engineers' skills, so I suppose the vessel will run smoothly again.

In order to proceed and settle on a place, time and date for the installation of an altered transponder system and a few scanner jammers, as well as a device to hack into enemy's scanners to create a fake result, we will require someone of the higher ranked personnel, preferably a Major or above, to vouch for you. It should come as no surprise that due to your only brief stay and background, Wedjat 4 is unable to trust you fully at this point.

We will talk again once someone vouched for your trustworthiness.

Recommendational letter

Greetings, Inquisitor "Darkness" and my apologies for the delay - an attempt to contact the available filed commander took a lot of time. I send a recommendation letter, received from Commodore William Storgen:

I bid you a good day.

Commodore Storgen's vouching is sufficient to proceed. You are expected to show up at Alexandria Black Site within the next three days.
You will receive instructions regarding the changed Identification System and the scanner jammers there.

Be advised that abusing Commodore Storgen's and my trust that you are truly seeking to identify a potential threat within Gallia will have severe consequences. Excuse my caution but many Gallic citizens were raised with an inhumane doctrine and it is not part of Wedjat Section 4 to trust people easily.
Regardless, Wedjat 4 wishes you good luck with this operation and hopes for positive results. In case you need an escort wing up to the Taus, do not hesitate to tell us beforehand.

Arrival

Good morning, "Darkness". Let me notify you I and the expected vessel have arrived at the Alexandria Black Site an hour ago and I am ready to take further instructions.
You were mostly right when you said Gallic royalists were raised with cruel doctrine against Sirians and La Division Vipere used most inhumane methods to spread fear across the Sirius, but believe me, I had enough time to rethink my point of view on everything and first meeting with "Purple Comet" along with not long, but productive life in Omicrons, gave me more motivation not to let such tragedy happen once again, so you can rely on me.

Returning to the changed Identification system topic, I remembered while moving to Alexandria, we got a little problem. I bet all Gallic ships, especially royal ships are totally controlled, and current basic information such as serial numbers, programmed into the ship, not into the operating system. I noticed, Order ships have different serials, so to avoid unnecessary issues we need to get serials and names from actual enclave vessels. It must be "Lynx" too because other shipclasses have a different classification. I am sure, our scanners are capable to scan such details, so we need to find at least one-two appropriate fighters and get information from them.

With regards,

Lieutenant Léo Serre

Your request for aid

I bid you a good day.

We had something to handle before I was able to come back to you.

I would have been surprised if things go all too smoothly. In order to acquire a serial number and whatever information else we might require, it appears wise to search for wreckages of the second Gallic War. Due to the heated nature within Gallic space, searching for wrecks at the old abandoned battlefields in the Taus and Bretonia sounds like our best options.
While the Royal Enclave's forces could be in possession of databanks regarding ships and their identification codes, serial numbers and so on, our best bet is that their rushed leave for the Gallic Hebrides poked some holes into this databanks.

Unfortunately, we are unable to leave the place we are at for quite a while. You will have to organize a team yourself, though I have no doubt some Agents will be glad to assist you.
Once you have acquired the information you need, a specialist on Alexandria will get in touch with you.

Received information

Inquisitor "Darkness",

A mission took a little more time than I expected, but I send you and Alexandria several files with serial numbers and basic information. The rest should be complete very soon.

Status update

I bid you a good day.

This looks rather promising. Await three Wedjat agents to get into touch with you once the modifications were finished.
They may act as your emergency backup. You have the freedom to give them further instructions yourself. This agents are yours for the duration of this mission.

Good luck.
