02/03/744 – Battle against Brigands

Today, during a routine patrol in the Picardy system, we received a distress call from an Auxesian transport ship passing through Zurich. Soon after, an Auxesian fighter joined my patrol wing and started the search for the hostiles.

It did not take long for us to find them, and, as expected, it was a small group of Brigands, looking for trouble. Unfortunately for them, both I and the Auxesian were quick to act and stopped them from causing more chaos.

29/03/744 – Bretonian Intelligence Battlecruiser in Languedoc

Following an alert given by GNI patrols about the presence of a hostile warship in the Languedoc system, Battlecruiser Ambitieux has been dispatched in orbit of Quillan to deploy fighter wings and scout the area.

Reaching the nearby planet, we were met by an Unione Corse pilot. The Corse fighter mentioned the battlecruiser as well, and specified that it had docked on Planet Quillan.

The reports were indeed correct, as a battlecruiser belonging to the Bretonian Intelligence Service shortly departed orbit. We hailed it, however no answer was given by the Bretonian. As it attempted to flee, we opened fire, but much to our surprise, the battlecruiser moored once again with Quillan. Logs of the encounter will be presented below, as well as a detailed scan of the warship.

20/04/744 – Corsair convoy caught smuggling Xeno Relics

During a patrol through the Ile-De-France system, I came across a large Corsair convoy. Suprisingly, they got through succesfully all the way to our capital system. Nevertheless, after scanning them carefully, we discovered large quantities of Xeno Relics.

Following standard cargo interdiction procedures, we ordered them to eject all the relics into space. They did not obey the order and proceed to moor with the planet, right in front of our squadron. As such, we opened fire and disabled one of their transports carrying relics. One of the convoy participants said that they are not aware of the Gallic Laws, which we found hard to believe.

They all paid a fine of five million credits for breaking Gallic Laws by carrying illegal cargo and were escorted out of Gallia via the Picardy system. Logs, alongside video footage of the incident are attached below.

22/03/744 – Nomad Infested Obstinate Class Battlecruiser

On patrol with La Maréchaussée de Gaule (MdG) unit, we ventured into Edinburgh from Orkney. During the patrol one of the Maréchaussée discovered a Marquis vessel and all units converged on its location. Upon my arrival I was surprised to discover a unknown Gallic Battlecruiser operating in the area, upon further inspection it became obvious that it was laden with equipment and weaponry of the Nomads.

The vessel was intercepted by both my firing of cruise disrupters and the Maquis. After doing so the ship threatened that I would perish if I did so again, evidently it managed to kill the Maquis after the terrorist had been swarmed by the MdG. Attempts to gain further information from the ship resulted in the claim that it has been permitted to operate within our space. Judging this to be a ploy to save it from destruction, I engaged the vessel with the assumption of aid from La Maréchaussée de Gaule. Which I did not receive.

The vessel managed to escape, and my ship was severely damaged attempting to cripple it. I had to make an emergency landing on Planet Bordeaux to send this report. Once I stablise my ship I will return to Gallia with haste. This message might not be received in time, communication here is sketchy.

Due to the increased activity of the Royal Extremists, or simply - the Royalists, we are initiating protocol "Chasse aux Sorcières". So far, our scouts have noticed two major groups: the Marshalcy of Gallia, a former police service of the fallen Kingdom, that is set as a red-level threat to the stability of our society, and a group of radical and fanatical Royal Navy officers that call themselves Oriflamme; the latter group was considered a purple-level threat. They, as rumoured, are lead by one of the DeFrance family: if this is so - put the maximal effort in capturing this individual, or whoever declared himself as an heir of King Charles, according to protocol "Sang Royal". Details are below.

Therefore, in general, the order is simple: every Royalist you meet has to be taken under custody if possible, or executed as an enemy of the Union if an offer to surrender is not complied with. For these circumstances, personnel will be granted permission to coordinate with the Bretonian Armed Forces for the sole purpose of targetting these Royalists although such a situation coming about is doubtful due to the current turbulent nature of the Tau Border Worlds. These are trying times, however, and we will take every opportunity afforded us in dealing with this threat for the integrity of Gallia.

After meeting up with a Unione Corse transport ship in the Languedoc system, the previous day, the captain of the ship mentioned that they managed to ambush a Gen'an convoy heading to Omicron Alpha. On board the convoy, they found a new type of substance, which is believed to be a narcotic.

Following a communication to the UC~, we agreed to meet up and transfer samples of the substance to a Bureau transport. The transfer was completed today in the Provence system, and the cargo succesfully delivered to Melun for further examination.

The Gallic Laws as per Article 4.6 dictates that "any kind of vessels of Cruiser-class or above, unless flown by Gallic Forces" - however, the folk of Crete seem bad with reading as this is not the first case within our data bank: before, Agent Louis and Corbeil reported about Taurus Corsairs breaching Article 3.3 by bringing restricted, non-licensed goods to Gallia. Moreover, they had either courage or foulness to bring the Xeno Relics straight to Planet New Paris, breaching all quarantine measures made by the Bureau to prevent possible alien infiltration (see attachment #1, #2, #3, #4 and #5).

This time the beforementioned Taurus group violated our borders with a battleship-type vessel - the Leros, according to the transmitter. Coming from Champagne, the warship's Captain (that remained unintroduced) attempted to justify their incursion with "exploring the sector". Considering the tonnage of the ship in question, general attitude (such as evading answering the question or showing no respect to Gallic forces) and attempt to damage the Champagne Jump Gate, with surgical accuracy the target was disabled by the Renaissance's gunnery.

In collaboration with the Gallic Navy, and with assistance provided by this Unione Corse ship who claims to belong to a cell called "Les Capes Noires" as well as a ship from Auxo, the fleet destroyed the enemy threat consisting of [FLG]VG-Liberateur, [FLG]VG-Revolutionnaire, Maquis-Louis.Malle and VG-Le.Murdereur. I engaged the lone fighter in the group, Maquis-Louis.Malle, a Gecko, who seemed more interested in shooting our capital ships for some reason. My ship sustained minimal damage as a result. He was however good at dodging, being a light fighter, and managed to evade my fire until GNS-Pierre turned him into space dust with a couple of shots.

The engagement ended when VG-Le.Murdereur exploded in a spectacular nova.

As an aside, the Auxo pilot was quite angry at the enemy using their thrusters. She claimed that the technology was stolen, and was quite delighted at the destruction of the stolen thrusters.

Today, around 1700, during our patrols in Zurich system aboard GNS Kléber, we have encountered an alien creature near Valais Cloud. It was one of those creatures which Sirians identify as nomads. We moved to investigate it. Curiously, it wasn't shooting at us first and introduced itself as 'Eris the Explorer'. We were taken aback by this encounter briefly as we haven't met anything like that before in person. There are no available records of its speech as it was directly speaking into our 'heads'.

We were later joined by patrol Rigel 1 and forced the creature out of the Gallia's space as per Director's orders. Footage of its interception will be attached bellow.
