The basis of the law is the equal and equivalent application of the law.
Let's look at the facts, as they stand. It has come to my attention that elements of the BDM are acting against the mandate of the Holstein accords.
One. No Unioner, that we are aware of, has engaged in an act of piracy since the Holstein accords. If you have evidence of wrongdoing, We request that the BDM present them. Alternatively, arrest me. I would prefer that the legal system took ran its course over extra-judicial killing.
Two. The Holstein accords absolve Unioners from past criminal wrongdoing.
Three. Liberty has an independent relationship with the Unioners. Rheinland Servicemen do not enforce Liberty's laws.
Four. If a Unioner is not found in an act of criminality, the law has no enforcement responsibility against them.
Five. How does the BDM expect the Unioners to maintain their part of the peace treaty, if they don't respect theirs?
This comes at the tail end of a day wherin men of the Union escorted an Imperial shipping transport through Rheinland. What a remarkably modern era we live in - one of civility and respect. I trust that this is a case of miscommunication between the BDM and their field operatives, and that Unioners do not need to fear for their lives once more.

I will not mince my words. The BDM lacks any mandate to assist the Liberty Navy in unprovoked strikes on Unioner activists within northern Hudson. The Unionists had not broken any law of Rheinland, nor were they in Rheinlandic territory at the time. There can be no legal grey area on this matter - the gains of the United Rheinland we all fought for, no matter what flag we represented, will be lost, if we succumb to fratricide. We are all working diligently to de-radicalise the Unions and maintain the peace. The Peace will not last if agents of the law do not uphold the law.
We request an impartial investigation into the conduct of field Agents Albrecht and Streicher, in the name of this Republic we have all worked so hard to build. It is time the embers of war died away. Permanently.
