Fort de Bregancon saves the day
The Bretonian Armed Forces invaded Orkney with their full might, with the support of their puppets - the deluded Maquisard terrorists. The Gallic Navy Combined Fleet stood at the forefront as the vanguard of Gallia, risking their lives to safeguard the important Issodun Shipyard, key resources of Planet Eday and Orkney's newly constructed tradelanes.
We have suffered massive amounts of damage as enormous Bretonian fleets have used the Fort Albi that was just leased to the Bounty Hunters Guild on good faith, and Fort de Bregancon was nearly destroyed, absorbing the hostile destructive power and providing a buffer for the rest of Orkney's vital assets.
The strategic decision has been made to abandon Fort De Bregancon's original purpose - a forward Head Quarters of the Gallic Navy Combined Fleet that will be now constructed elsewhere. Instead, the base will serve as a defensive depot with no further upgrades to it's current form and minimal traffic which could attract further Bretonian and Terrorist activity.
The purpose for you - Gallic Navy And Intelligence operatives stands - please deliver data you collect with skirmishes in the border regions for a reward that can be further analysed. The price has been increased to reflect the dangerous situation in the region and obtaining said data.

The situation in Orkney has been stabilising, Fort Albi has been abandoned by the Bounty Hunters and cannot be used by the Bretonians as a stage for invasions into our space but Fort de Bregancon is still in a vulnerable and potentially dangerous position.
We require more data on the changed environment after the Alien charge through the system to complete suitable upgrade designs.
Fort Lune - a potential
Expansion of the Gallic Navy Combined Fleet brings a potential asset - in a safe area, covered by our defenses could worthy of permanent headquarters of the Gallic Navy Combined Fleet. While the base is being analyzed for suitability for Navy-Grade retrofits and upgrades it is important it's vital operations keep running - I am hereby calling on supply vessels of the Gendarmerie to make it so, when the front line Fort de Bregancon is not requiring our presence.

After a Patrol that helped plot a proper towing course
there have been big changes to Fort de Bregancon. The structure itself was damaged in the strike on Issoudun. Whatever was on board was merged with the only surviving part of the once mighty shipyard - a massive vessel that was the only thing there was time to detach as the attack was coming. The newly reinforced and fortified massive vessel will serve as a mobile supply depot in the volatile Orkney system, inheriting the name Fort de Bregancon. It can be currently found in the orbit of planet Eday, sector 4G in Orkney.
Part of it's function is collecting data on the volatile system.
Scientific data purchase price: 2,300,000 credits
Anomaly scanner batteries purchase price: 7,500,000 per 150 units.

Nevertheless, Fort de Bregancon is still vital in aiding the remaining GMS Base and Main Fleet Battlecruiser in the area. I am allocating resources and time for re-supply - Gendarnerie convoys shall depart and re-supply the Barge this Saturday and Sunday.

The mobile vessel that was used as a supply point for the survivors of Brittany was today destroyed. All Gendarmes in the system are now to operate from Battlecruiser Sisteron and Vierzon Mining facility. Although an almost insignificant setback in terms of strategic and military value compared to the tragedy of Issoudun, it is a large galvanizer of morale in our planned takeover of all Tau regions. I just want to say - the lives the couple thousands of civilians have given today are not in vain. There is a reason why all civilian enforcement was disbanded and replaced by you - the Gendarmes of Gallia, our full-fledged enlisted military servicemen.
One reason was order and destruction of corruption and restoration of order, yes. But the other was our capability of offensive action on detached territories. Gendarmerie will play a support role in the upcoming war effort against Crayter and Bretonia and the complete conquest of the Tau regions and their return under the rightful protection of Gallia. After this attack, we now have full moral justification, nay, duty, to go all-out without restraint to secure all of the Tau regions from these terrorists. Don't sell yourselves short my fellow Gendarmes. The Main Fleet, GNI, and Security Bureau are important. But it is the strength and resolve of the Gendarmerie that will turn the tides of the conflicts to come.
Our scopes are already set on the Tau-44 system, Battlegroup Cassard is just a system away and would make quick work of the remaining Crayterians there, let's see if the Main Fleet decides to pull the trigger.
