The Debrief Terminal of the Defence Bureau represents the main information storage point, as well as communication point between all assets under the control of the Defence Bureau. Agents and fellow command members,

Despite the shortcomings of our military, in part due to the lack of heavy industry, we have managed to achieve our goal of establishing an agency that will work around the clock to ensure that our compatriots in the military can safely carry out their orders.

With that said, the recent invasion of Insurgency-held territory is also a matter of concern for both us and our allies. In the first days of the war, acting in accordance with orders from the Goverments of Bretonia and Liberty, a task force of the Armed Forces was sent to Vespucci, where, largely in part to faulty - to the point of nonexistent - intelligence it was promptly destroyed by an ambush lead by the Insurgency Navy and a small number of disorganized militia bearing the insignia of the Insurgency's forces.

As a direct response to this, and after speaking with the Fleet Admiral in person, we have been given permission to deploy several of our assets within the region - the most important of which is our flagship recon liner, the Gibraltar. In the following hours, I will send a communication to the Naval Command of the Libertonian Armed Forces within California and to their Goverment respectively, asking for permission to redeploy the liner within Liberty itself, and assist with gathering intelligence.

While we will have an easier time on this front, we must not forget about the northern sector and the appearance of Nomad warforms within the area. Thus far, our defences are holding firm and with the planned lockdown imposed upon the Orkney, the Armed Forces will only have to worry about the frequent Gaian raiders near the lane junctions. Our standing military, combined, is an experienced force, however the ever-increasing unlawful group presence will prove difficult to counter. I, therefore, instruct all agents to avoid venturing further than the safe lane junctions, unless escorting or under escort from larger warships, such as gunboats.

Another matter of importance is the growing nationalistic sentiment at home, on New London, and on the other planets. While we cannot act directly in their support, it would be prudent to use them to pressure the Republic of Liberty into lowering the war debt. More details on this subject will come in the following days, however, for the time being, avoid any and all contacts with nationalistic groups planetside; we cannot be seen openly assiting them.

Agents and Officers,

First let me introduce myself - my name is Anna Kwiatkowska and I have been appointed as the new head of the Defense Bureau by Fleet Admiral Harold Sommerville. My previous rank was Flag Officer and I served in the BAF Auxiliary Forces, where I also served as Commander-in-Chief for a while before I was forced to request a medical leave of absence.

We are currently facing an important challenge - our neighbours, the Crayter Republic, have apparently begun to work with the Liberty Insurgency, a criminal organisation that is in armed conflict not only with the Liberty Republic but also our Kingdom of Bretonia. The fact that the Liberty Insurgency has inflicted casualties on us and the Liberty Republic does not seem to bother our allies in Coronado.

Our task will be to investigate and determine the extent of this collaboration between the Crayter Republic and the Liberty Insurgency. Effective immediately, all of our forces will be reassigned to the planet Carlisle, Newcastle System, from where they will conduct patrols towards the Coronado, Cortez and Magellan systems.

Keep your eyes open and expect the Crayter Republic to be of no help if our suspicions are confirmed. Record all objective facts and factual information that they attempt to discover, but do not engage in speculations - and if you do engage in it, be sure to label it appropriately. This is a serious situation and the Admiralty cannot make decisions based on unsubstantiated speculation.

Received word of a Liberty Insurgent warship transiting through Edinburgh via the Leeds Jumphole to Orkney. It carried an escort complement consisting of several gallic navy ships. If we were ever suspicious of cooperation between the Gallic Navy and the Insurgents we now have reason to be certain. Gallic Naval ships including intelligence vessels were escorting the warship. I led a wing of Armed forces pilots to intercept and destroy the escorts, and stop the fleeing warship. Unfortunately, the warship escaped, but not with any surviving escorts.

NOTE: Gaian fighter vessels decided to join in the effort, we made no attempts to destroy them while occupied with the Gallic Navy. Once the escorts were destroyed, the Gaian vessels fleed.
