NEW LONDON - With the upheaval caused by the loss of a Bretonian battlegroup within Vespucci, in part due to lack of information coming from the Liberty Navy, the higher and lower classes of Bretonia alike have begun protesting against the measures to continue paying the war debt to the Republic of Liberty.

In an unexpected turn of events, the Armed Forces itself has suffered a major loss. The Fleet Admiral, Arthur Spencer, has been found dead by the guards following a visit by his advisor, Chief Harold Sommerville, lead of the newly-formed Defence Bureau. Even more unexpectedly, the Defence Bureau Chief has gone missing - no traces of him have been thus far found by the public, and with the Armed Forces representatives refusing to comment on the matter, it is unlikely that we'll uncover the story. Details of the death are scarce, however the few presented facts are that the Fleet Admiral had been found in such a state for several hours.

With theories of a plot to take command of the Armed Forces from within spreading throughout Bretonia, the Intelligence Service and Police have reportedly increased their presence on Planet New London. Several unverified claims have already been received of protests against this latest disaster within the Armed Forces.

It remains unclear how the situation will evolve, and, with the deployment of more Police units on the planet, all possible evidence of the death may not be found. Rest assured, however, that we will work around to bring the truth to the peoples of Bretonia.

We will cover this story more in the following days.
