Tomás Cabanilla - 13th of August, 829 AS, New Olynthos, Gran Canaria

Recording starts, showing nothing but a crude room built from prefab components. All of the light within the room seems to be coming from a single window just outside the camera's view. The only other objects of note in sight is a glimpse of the desk the camera is standing on, and a humble cabinet on the opposite side. After a short moment, a man's head came into view from under the desk. The man looks into the lens, then leans back happily seeing that it active.

*sighs* Finally, voltage is stable enough for this thing to work so uh... *the man scratches head* Name's Tomás Cabanilla, and I'm an assistant to Senorita Lorenza Onio, Elder of New Olynthos, our new home. I was tasked with documenting the events surrounding our humble prospect.

We have made landfall around a week ago onboard Demeter, I believe purchased off Junkers somewhere in Sigmas. Transit from Crete was rather uneventful, if rather tense. The only two things of note was Garcia brothers getting into a fight over a meal, and upon approaching the Omega-41 jump hole, everyone onboard was made to take anti-radiation pills, the very same ones our hermanos aboard Leon base regularly take.

As soon as cargo doors opened, we started upon pre-assigned tasks. Roughly 400 out of the 500 of us were busy unloading and securing all the supplies we brought with us on the journey. The remaining hundred were tasked with inspecting the state of the long-abandoned Corsair we would soon inhabit, and start bringing them back to state where they can serve as shelter for the children of Crete once more.

The unloading process took two days to complete, after which Demeter promptly left, hopefully to come back with the second, and following waves of colonists should this work out. As for the state of the buildings left behind, they were surprisingly well maintained. We suspect the buildings were used by the Bretonians during their occupation, but we haven't got any solid proof of that. Thanks to that, we could diverge our efforts to setting up power plants and tiling the plots. Tomorrow Senors Ferndinand and Vico, along with a few escorts will be going to the nearest Zoner city and try to trade some of the Artifacts we brought with us for the necessities such as fuel and so on. Our current reserves should last us a month or so, but the sooner we can expand on that, the better. I just pray to Santa Muerte that our crops will take to the earth...

Tomás clasps his hands together in a praying gesture, then reaches towards the camera to shut it off.
