seems we have a lack of "free-for-all" ships. every time a merc or a generic pirate asks what ship he can fly, the common answer is "get an eagle, it rocks" - while it might indeed rock... its rather limited, and not everyone likes the eagle too much.

so this is a little concept of a zoner made civi fighter based on their experience with the sabre or the BW series, which the zoners were at least partly involved in.

similarities to the dagger, a tough looking civi skin - rather compact size ( and sadly, a definite X-wing look ) ... well.... - but its an X-wing without the ... X- wing at least. - might still look FLish enough, who knows.

i d consider such a ship identical to maybe the eagle in both, dimensions and stats - just so there is some kind of choice for generic chars.- the ship design is VERY basic... so it supports the idea of something rather cheap to produce and maintain. - such a ship should look like something that every mechanic can fix... .sort of like an old VW beetle which can be repaired like everywhere in the world.

added the "dragonfly" - yes, it is a ship modelled after an EVE ship ( no need to hide that fact ) - it has a very unusual shape - but might fit in.

it could even be balanced OK - a very flat design from the front - but a horribly large one from above.

Looks like a DSE/Agiera escort fighter. However, since the consensus (which I agree with) is not to give every faction ships, it could be titled as a "Liberty-Corporation Very Heavy Fighter". This would give a bit more meaning to the cells on the equipment list that Xoria made of "Liberty Civilian", "Rheinland Civilian", "Bretonia Civilian" and "Kusari Civilian".

I quite like the model. Im not too fond of the texturing since I think blue is a bit overused, but thats a very minor gripe which I wouldn't notice in game.

oh - blue is just the default window colour for milkshape - just name a colour for the canopy... - amber ( yellow ) looks good on it - and has a very golden shine in a normal sun ( eagle like ) - green works, too, but anything you paint green looks rheinlandish quickly.

That looks quite nice! I'd certainly consider my Crow in for one given the opportunity. Or at least look at other people flying it and go "neato!".

Well I was thinking about making my winged cylinder (I guess you have seen it, in Flood...) available to everyone, but meh, you beat me to it.:P

The wings and the engines look quite fragile and easily breakable. Other than that, you've met your high standards yet again, Jinx, even though the ship's quite basic itself.

No offence, well its better than the Homeworld imports, and as you said, freeforall ships are in need, so put it in. (best to replace an import)
