Prologue

Her name was Arielle, of the ancient household of DeFrance. Her ancestors goes as far back as the colonists of the first sleeper ships. The daughter of the King Louis IV of Gallia and Queen Elyse III of Gallia, she is 27 years old.

Her childhood has been one of lavish luxury, having lived all her childhood at the Palais Royale, among the beautiful, the comfortable and the legions of servant and two loving, although distant parents, busy with their own matters. She was mostly raised alone, receiving excellent education from tutors and was expected to become a grande dame, one that knew her ways around the many intrigues of the Royal Court, a politician of birth. And she could have become just that, for she was born intelligent, had a charm only enhanced by her simple beauty, and she knew how to deviously use these powerful weapons to convince since a young age.

But weapons of words weren't enough for this seemingly innocent girl who was, among other traits, of great ambition. At the age of 18, against all odds and with an education nearing perfection, Arielle forced herself a place within the Royal Naval Academy at the great dismay of King Louis and mostly, Queen Elyse. However, nothing could force the obstinate young woman from her path, as she walked firmly toward her destiny, oblivious to danger.

Her ability to command the attention of men, to take swift and critical actions at right moment rises her among the first of class during her time in the Academy. She chained these successful theoretic results with fleet mastery in campaigns against the Council and other villains infesting the Royal Kingdom. This mastery gained the recognition of the Fleet Admiral she was serving under, and perhaps to please King and Queen, gave her command at a very young age, the command of the battleship "Imperatrice" and its smaller
Her's military rank was usually never pronounced, the title "princess" being used more often than others, however, those unaware were always surprised to find this young lady actually detained a rank as powerful as that of vessel captain.
