Division 47 of the Liberty Security Force is a unit tasked with safeguarding the vital national interests of the Republic of Liberty. Operating in secrecy across Sirius, D47 activities cover intelligence, special operations outside of Liberty, the recovery and study of alien technology and the elimination of the Nomad threat. If necessary, D47 cooperates with other LSF units and the Liberty Navy to eliminate threats that could endanger the Republic and its interests.

Division 47 personnel are carefully selected from among the Liberty Navy and Liberty Security Force. With their exceptional skills, training and dedication, the recruitment process is highly selective and discreet, often relying on connections within LSF networks or recommendations from credentialed figures within the scientific community for its research sections. Potential recruits undergo rigorous background checks and psychological assessments to ensure they possess the discretion and loyalty needed to be a member of Division 47.

During the Liberty-Rheinland war, Divsion 47 focus shifted to gathering intelligence on hostile Rheinandic incursions within Liberty and it received a temporary boost in funding and manpower. When the war ended however, Divsion 47 budget was significantly cut, and certain political interests used the end of the war to substantially reduce Division 47 manpower and cut back on all its activities. However, with the recent discovery of the Earhart system and its connections to uncharted systems of valuable resources, Liberty has to deal with both the risks and rewards of the treasures hidden within, and the Division was revived to handle national security issues pertaining to the sector.

Section 0 is responsible for ensuring the integrity and security of Division 47. Section 0 personnel specialize in internal investigations, counter-intelligence activities and the surveillance of Division 47 agents. Section 0 plays a vital role in maintaining the confidence and effectiveness of Division 47 operations, ensuring that the Division remains free from internal corruption and compromise. Agents in Section 0 often operate in other sections so as to be indistinguishable to potential traitors within Division 47.

Section 1 is the operational core of the division. It oversees the deployment and coordination of agents throughout the Sirius sector. Agents in this section operate undercover, their identities classified and known only to high command. Their missions are revealed only to those who need to know, guaranteeing the confidentiality of sensitive information.

Section 2 focuses on the study, analysis and exploitation of alien technology encountered by Division 47 agents. The scientific personnel in this section conduct research on recovered artifacts, reverse-engineer alien devices and explore potential applications for Liberty Navy and LSF. The data collected by the scientists is confidential, and only the High Command has access to it.

The ASF (Alaska Security Force) is a highly specialized security force that guards all LSF facilities. It can assist the Liberty Navy or even the LPI, but its area of intervention does not extend beyond Liberty Space. Their weapons and equipment are all modified, sometimes even experimentally, making them superior to basic equipment. This makes them a lethal intervention force.

Project Divisor is used to deploy Special Forces, trained terrorists, drones and other disposable assets on potentially suicide missions to take down targets of interest inside and outside of Liberty. Assets sometimes use experimental and untested weapons technology on their targets as trial-runs for section 2. It also retains some older technology that was leftover from the Liberty-Rheinland war
