Biography of Jack_Macauley: From Citizen to Explorer to Avenger

Jack Macauley was born in the 8th Century 785 A.S. to his Father, John Macauley, and his mother, Margaret Macauley on Planet Leeds, Bretonia. His father had just received a medical discharge from the Bretonian Armed Forces for an odd limp he had developed after suffering a near fatal crash in his bomber. The family at the time was still collecting retirement benefits from the military as well as collecting from a company they had started to assist traders with the loading of their vessels at the Leeds star port. As his father’s health improved and their retirement shrunk he decided to look for work elsewhere in the Sirius sector in an effort to better support his family and his newborn son, Jack. After receiving a unique offer to work for the Liberty government the family soon packed up their bags and moved to Planet Manhattan. The family decided it was better to move from Leeds to keep Jack away from the violence between the Mollys, the BAF and the ever encroaching Kusari forces.

Life started again in Liberty as Jack spent most of his youth gazing out his window at the starships flying in and out of the atmosphere. His father wasn’t around much due to the fact that he was working an important government job in which he would never tell anyone fully what it included. Jack didn’t care, he was proud of his father’s achievements and efforts in life. Little did he know that everything was about to change.
It was now the 9th Century 800 A.S. and the Nomad War had just broken out throwing Sirius into total chaos. Gossip spread fast and the number of Navy vessels orbiting Planet Manhattan slowly began to shrink. Everyone became involved and it wasn’t long before Jack’s father stopped showing up from work. A year passed and there was no sign of John Macauley. Jack, now 15, became very upset with long bouts of depression and general confusion for his missing father. He tried to cope with the depression and stay strong for his mother for the next four years. By that time, Jack had already reached the age of 19 and decided it was time that he was old enough to find out exactly what happened to his father. Missing persons during the time of the war was not an unusual concept so there were plenty of people on Manhattan that were in search of loved ones that never returned from the war but never confirmed dead. Jack, using the money that his now-affluent family provided to him, purchased a civilian gunboat fit for exploration purposes and filled it with a crew of people in search of certain things in Sirius. He took his ship and his crew and departed to explore Sirius’ little secrets in 805 A.S.

Five years after he had set out to explore Sirius, Jack had still yet to achieve his goal of finding his missing father or any information about him. Luckily for jack, while docked at Freeport 9 in the Omicron Theta system, he ran into an interesting individual at the bar. This man approached Jack and introduced hi m self as Markus Merilo, stating that he was a friend of Jack’s father. Jack was informed that his father’s mysterious job was that of a Scientist in the Order of Cincinnatus, a covert Liberty organization in charge of researching alien artifacts and maintaining the contingency plan of the Liberty Republic. Markus also informed Jack that during the time of the Nomad War, the Order of Cincinnatus had become infested by the nomads due to their involvement with the alien artifacts they were studying. He went on to say that it was inevitable that Jack’s father would wind up infested as well. He concluded with saying that the order had reestablished themselves through the leadership of Casper Orillion and that they were looking for captains of Jack’s variety and involvement in the situation. Jack naturally accepted… Thus, he was issued an Anubis heavy fighter and given his orders.

Seven years later, and this current year 817 A.S., Jack is now an experienced member of the Order’s forces and still fights the nomads to avenge his Father’s death and to stop the possibility of another war breaking out.
