"...riight - thats the correct frequency...

greetings, ladies and gents, or gents if there re no ladies in the council... ,

today, or rather just shortly ago, we wittnessed one of your captains piloting "his" ship around freeport 9 in omicron-theta. i have put "his" in brackets, because the ship in question turned out to be an Aquillion Carrier which is not usually found within the Outcast fleet, from what our databases tell.

When asked, this captain of the ship named "MNS-Avalon" stated, that "it was a scrapfield when he found it and he put it all together again". - now, we zoners are well aware that the outcasts are brilliant shipbuilders and have achieved some unmatched technological achievements in shiptechnology.... however building a ship out of scrap that matches our identification of an aquillon carrier so much is estimated to be beyond even outcast ingenuity.

when he was confronted, the captain insisted on this "story". we informed him in a civil way that the easy way to go was to present his ship and his case before the council of zoners - in a reasonable time, - which means.... momentarily; and to expect a fair judgement about it.

he was also informed about the "hard" way - which wasn t elaborated in too much detail at that time as we all like to avoid it.

for now, we would like to know if the council of Dons knows about the background of this ship, the Avalon - information we zoners may not be aware of at that time. any further actions must not be rushed but should happen in a consensus of all those involved - in that case, the zoners and the outcasts.

right now - we are just a bit confused to see a piece of zoner technology in the outcast fleet without the knowledge of the council.

sadly, at that time, we cannot present a guncam image - but three wittnesses should suffice. - we would be grateful if the council of dons could persuade this captain to present his case before the council so it can be deal with in a civlized manner. - our ships being used for a beneficial cause is something we can live with. - we can also live with taking our ships back in one piece as it is very much work to put them together. - taking the ships back in little bits however is detrimental and should be avoided if possible..... but it is still always an option.

and who knows - maybe the captain just suffered from temporary space madness and the ships IFF and ID was kind of "glitched" and it all turns out to be a very big misunderstanding. - but in case it is not ... further steps will need to be taken.

dear council members, - this is no trivial offence - but a serious violation. - i am certain that the captain of said vessel will undoubtly answer any question from the council of dons truthfully and to everyones satisfaction so we can deal with the whole affair.

sincerely, Elizabeth Tate"

We were only recently made aware of this ship. Due to the circumstances, I certainly intend for this captain to have a conversation with us... whether it's across the desk or chained to a table in a room rapidly filling with poisonous gas.

On a related note, I have to ask how willing the Zoners would be to sell such a vessel, if one went through the proper channels. As I'm sure you know, a carrier is purely a military craft, not even functioning very well for intimidation value compared to a similarly-sized battleship, due largely to having to sacrifice space for fighter bays that could otherwise be utilized for munitions storage or power cores.. This makes it rather unusual for such a ship to be designed by a group who goes out of their way to avoid the situations where it would be useful. The only remaining options I can see are that either they are built for an unknown ally, or that they are produced for sale to trusted parties.

While I have no intention to buy one personally, it's a question that's been on my mind since I received this transmission.

End of transmission.

Chairman Mal to Don Santini:

Hola,

Thank you for your prompt response, but the issue has now become someone else's "problem" it seems, Don Emilio...

We have reports that this ship has now "defected" to the ranks of the Order. In fact, a combined group of Order and Zoner vessels were able to surround the vessel and escort it to Baffin, where my Fnordette Prime conducted a thorough interview of Captain Ramirez Anders.

As to our "sale" of said vessel to an unknown: We are also investigating the claim that the vessel was found in a cloud of "scrap", and pieced back together by this "enterprising" Captain and his crew. Whatever that investigation reveals, we are reasonably certain that this matter will no longer require intervention by the esteemed Council of Dons.

Our sincere thanks again,
Chairman Mal
