*In a Bar on Manhattan*

In a corner of the bar a solitary figure watches the news broadcasts. The news of a possible kidnapping of a transport captain's family.

The news anchor states 'as heard over the radio the person known as 'The.Watchman' tells the transport captain he has no family.' The captain of the ship *censored* apparently called home finding out that his family went missing.
The Captain of the Transport was taken to the hospital after getting hysterical then collapsing at the police station. As of yet we not know if the police have started their investigation into the matter.
We go live to our correspondent at the hospital for an update on the captain's condition............

The solitary figure tunes out the rest of the newscast. He then reaches for a communicator and starts talking.
Colonel our employer's family went missing. Yes I know we were his escort for this run. We cannot escort him because he is in the hospital because of his missing family. We need to help him sir. I believe the watchman is involved sir.
Yes sir. I will prepare everything.
over and out.

The lone figure gets up with his chocolates and leaves the bar

Hold, Reverend. The man knows he speaks falsehoods, and has previously admitted to being a clinical schizzophrenic. Regardless, I've a third party witness to these happenings I am currently having our contacts locate.

Some ask, who watches the Watchmen? The answer is simple, I do. The brighter ones ask, who watches me? The answer is more complicated, and how they would like to know...

Well reverend

Do you not see what you are tangled up with? I guess you wish to be associated with a kidnapper, Rhineland spy, and with evil that I have never seen before. I guess you approve of this man( thing ) hurting innocent people to achieve his goals.

May the lord god have mercy on your soul brother and may he forgive you of all your sins.

The watchman you are pathetic if you are in any way connected to the disappearance of this transport captain's family.
If you have taken his family you are naught but a coward, snake, and scum of the universe to harm what you say you protect.

I fight with honour, dignity like knights of old.
You sir are not worth my time as you are but beneath the level of a true knight.
You sir are dishonourable!

Hmm, this shall get good. *Lights up a cigarette* Let the show begin! Now Watchman I don't want to take sides in this, but you seem to be stirring up a hornets nest. As for you Murdock are you still as daft as they say you are? Lets all get back to our lives and stop this mindless squalling.

This transmission just caught my eye, and I'd like to point out the use of the term "schizophrenic" is now an antiquity. Over the last few years, debate has been raging in the physiatrical world about the usage of this term, and in agreement with co-workers in Bretonia, Kusari and Rhienland (medical advancement knows no border or embargo, you know) the Welfare Society has decided to drop the term "schizophrenia".

This is due to overwhelming social stigma that can adversely affect the self-esteem of the patient. We've found such boldly recognisable terms damaging (due to the negative connotations society attaches to the condition - something evident in your transmission), as the patient is forced to wear their condition almost as a badge of shame.

There is also the fact that the human psyche is an incredibly complex thing, so no single term can cover such a vast spectrum of ailments. Now, more in-depth diagnosis' are given corresponding to the varying technicality of the condition. We believe this alteration eases the mental state of the patient as well as making the forwarding of case-loads easier due to more specific case notes being available to the practitioner receiving the case.

Oh, and the Welfare Society does not endorse vigilante action - we've had more than a few vigilantes wheeled through our doors in recent times, and found a surprising similarity in a great many aspects of their mental profiles. We do not appreciate the extra workload, when there are more deserving people waiting for help. Please, leave the protection of Liberty to the people who are paid to do it - the authorities.

Paul Jones,

Thank you for your professional opinion, Master/Doctor Jones. I am a little confused, however, how everyone seems to believe we are vigilantes. We are but humble civilians. Aye, we have weapons with which to defend ourselves in self-defence, but if you'll check the latest census, I'm sure you'll find that a large percentage of the citizens of Liberty share this.

After receiving, and subsequently chuckling at this transmission, I checked my holds for any spare criminals that had wound up in my hold over the course of the day. I found eight Liberty Rogue pilots, that had wound up in my hold after harassing me upon the lanes throughout the day. They fit your profile, as drug abuse of the mother during a pregnancy tends to have adverse effects upon the child's physical and mental health, as I am sure our friendly doctor here can confirm.

And to your repeated use of the term 'Rhineland spy'... Firstly, it's spelt 'Rheinland', secondly, the only reason I can think of you calling me such is because I forwarded the evidence proving your connections to the Corsairs to the Rheinland Military. I also forwarded it to the BAF, KNF and LN. I guess that makes me a spy for all four houses, eh?

Master/Doctor Jones, as a humble civilian with a sizeable sum of cash, I would like to speak with you in private about the 'treatment' of this poor fool.

Signed,
- The Watchman

So you defend yourselves by being aggressive? This is not logical despite what the ancient earth movies would have you think, the best defense is to dig in at a defendable position, not a good offence... The rest of liberty saves the light arms for the "cat burgler" that hops through their window at night. Not people in stationary orbit above Newark Station trying to fix their Coca-cola fountains (which lucky for you I saved the most important and expensive part...)...

Aye but logic also states that 1 is a part of 4. Therefore He can call you a Rheinland spy as a part of the four, by leaving off the other three, he acts in a way that is typical for human beings (correct me if I'm wrong doctor), only giving you part of the truth.

I love the term "Humble" in your final statements... Allow me to clarify what that is, just for your benefit.
Quote: Thinking lowly of one's self; claiming little for one's self; not proud, arrogant, or assuming; lowly; weak; modest
I do not see the logic of claiming that you are humble when you claim to be able to do the job of the police and Navy better than they can. Not to mention that you reserve the right to call your view the view of the "vast majority" (I still laugh when I think of Newark Station attempting to avenge my death...) and to pass condemning judgement on people you know little about.

Sergent Calego out.
