Now that 4.85 has truly settled in, and everybody is happy once again, I have decided to give Artemis Galactic Security another crack. Many issues were discussed here and I have adjusted the faction page accordingly, and all suggestions in mind. I know that alot of people who posted in the previous thread gave obvious concern about whether this is just some excuse for a Sirius Police. It is not. Contracts will be very specific for what areas of space to enter to use this contract. Anything we do outside of these zones will be of no benifit to us. This is because we will not be bounty hunting, but rather targetting specific factions inhabiting specific zones. Let me give an example, this example in no way gives ideas of planned clients in the future.
Say that Artemis Galactic Security and the Red Hessians made a deal to engage all Corsair forces in Omega 5. Depending on the terms of the contract, we may use the Red Hessian base in the system to launch strikes against Corsairs in the system.
Lets say Corsair X is being chased by Artemis]Y. Corsair X is losing badly, and plans to escape via the Omega 41 jump hole. He jumps, and Artemis]Y follows. The terms of the contract can state whether the contract is still valid in the systems surrounding Omega 5. If it is not, then Artemis]Y has nothing to gain by continuing to engage the pirate.

Background:

When the human race arrived in the Sirius Sector they brought with them laws that allowed for Private Military Companies (PMCs). The Bounty Hunters Guild is the obvious example of a PMC, and it is the largest in the galaxy.
Artemis Galactic Security found it’s origins on Planet Gran Canaria in Omega 49. Back then Artemis was designed to protect one of the continents on the planets surface. Artemis Continental was founded in 789A.S. by Richard DeWinter. Richard never thought the company would get very far; he just wanted something that would feed his wife and son, Adrian. The company stayed as a Continental protection service until Richard’s death, and when Adrian took over. Richard DeWinter was originally a transport pilot, but due to AI starting to take the places of pilots he was removed from service. He had no idea how to run a business; and that’s where he and his son differed. Adrian DeWinter was born in 779A.S. and went on from his compulsory education to a business school. There he learned how he would one day make Artemis a success.
Richard died in 800A.S. due to an undiscovered tumor on his heart. Adrian had just left his business school when it happened, and he was quick to take over the company. Unlike his father, who only wanted a living, Adrian wanted more. He strived out towards clients and organized contracts that made the company more powerful each day. By 805A.S. he officially changed the name of the company to Artemis Global Security. He didn’t stop there, he wanted Artemis to touch the stars and be known throughout the galaxy. He continued through his work and secured contracts with every continent on the planet, until eventually near the end of 816A.S. he officially made a conference on the planet and, in a spectacular ceremony, unveiled the banner of Artemis Galactic Security.

Artemis Galactic Security is a Private Military Company. They do a variety of work, but the main bsuiness-maker is assisting clients in wars. It is all about the business. They would enter a war and engage opposing forces in assigned areas.
Artemis became Galactic through hiring the best of people, in and out of combat. Expertise from Artemis teams ensure that the goals of Art.Gal.S are achieved, one way or another.

Faction Name: Artemis Galactic Security
Faction Tag: Artemis]Firstname.Lastname (fighters), Artemis-Firstname:Lastname (bomber), Artemis:Shipname (Gunships, Gunboats, Repair Ships)
IFF/ID: Freelancer IFF, Mercenary ID

Goals:

• Creating contracts with several different clients, aiming to have a combined contract area of most of the Sirius Sector.
• Maintaining those contracts.

Methods:

• Hire the best and brightest in and out of his or her ships and make sure they have the best equipment.
• To be hired in wars or to destroy certain factions in certain systems.

Diplomatic Status:

We currently have no allies; our only allies are clients we have been hired by to work for. We attempt to avoid engaging the rookies (NPCs) as this could effect us with future contracts. (however we will shoot them to make them engage us, making it more realistic)

Allies:
Clients with contracts to Artemis Galactic.

Friendly:
None.

Neutral:
Those who state neutrality towards us.

Unfriendly:
None.

Hostile:
Ships we are contracted to hunt. If we see those ships outside of assigned hunting zones, we will not engage, only in self defense.

Ranking:

There is little ranking in Artemis Galactic Security, as there is little need.
There are three ranks that can be reached:

Ensign:
This rank is for those who have just joined Artemis, it is easy to move out of and enter the next rank. People in this rank may fly fighters or bombers.

Lieutenant:
This rank forms the backbone of Artemis, to move upward from this rank requires time and skill. Lieutenants can give orders to Ensigns; however these orders can be over-ruled by a Captain or the CEO. People in this rank may fly fighters, bombers, and SHFs.

Captain:
This rank is for those who have proven themselves excellent in command of other members of Artemis. Captains can give orders to Lieutenants and Ensigns; their orders can only be over-ruled by the CEO. People in this rank may fly fighters, bombers, SHFs, repair ships, gunships or gunboats (access to gunships or gunboats must come with a role-play story written before the ship is bought). Captains have access to the shared ships (Repair ship, Mobile Command Centre, etc)

This next rank can not be reached by normal members, unless the current CEO leaves the position and opens it to another person to take.

CEO:
This rank is for someone who has proven that they can control Artemis Galactic Security and not fall under the pressure. The CEO can give orders to all ranks; his or her decisions can be overruled by voting of the members of Artemis. The CEO may fly any ship available to Artemis.

Zones of Influence:

Artemis contracts specifically state where to operate. You will not see Artemis ships out of those areas UNLESS escorting or moving to a different area.

Ships Available:

All ships designated as civilian or neutral ships can be used by Artemis. There are not yet any Gunships we can use, I put the Gunship in the appropriate areas so that if Gunships we can use come available (civilian or neutral ones) we can use them. The only Gunboats available to Artemis are the Conference and the Kusari Explorer. We do not use Bounty Hunter technology, as the Bounty Hunters Guild is a rival PMC.

Following is a list of ships we are able to use, later on will be added what ships we mainly use. This list is in Alphabetical order:

Light Fighters:
Arrow,
Basalt,
Civilian Shuttle,
Griffin,
Hawk,
Ki,
Starblazer,
Starflier,
Startracker,
Tiger Shark.

Heavy Fighters:
Dacite,
Falcon,
Kingfisher,
Marauder,
Saishi.

Very Heavy Fighters:
Charon,
Eagle,
Raven's Talon,
Wasupu,
Touketsu,
Virage.

Super Heavy Fighters:
Mafic.

Bombers:
Roc.

Gunships/Gunboats:
"Conference" Class Zoner Gunboat,
Kusari Explorer.

Weapons available:

• Civilian weapons (Flashpoints, Debilitators)
• Codenames
• SNAC, Mini Razor, Nova Torpedo

Recruitment:

Artemis is constantly looking for new pilots to join. However, pilots must reach a certain standard to be allowed into the organisation.
• Must be fluent in the English language.
• Must have an account on the Neural Net (Discovery forums).
• Must have been a pilot for at least 2 months (time will be taken from the creation of the Neural Net account used to apply).
• Must be able to mix with other pilots at an average level or higher (role-play).
• Must have a very good application.
• Must have or be able to have 3ypk3 secure communications. (Skype)
• Combat skills do not matter, you can be trained.
I couldn't read the other post (your previous submission) coz I don't have the time. But I just have one concern. Zoner destroyer? Do you really think the Zoner's would sell one of their ships used for profit in a war? I know the guy leading the corporation is a zoner as well, but I don't think that's a reason enough to be able to have the right to own a zoner dessie, especially one that's going to be used in combat.

The reason I said Zoner Destroyer is because it is the only destroyer that could be considered "neutral". Requesting that destroyer would be a long process, therefore plenty of time to write an explanation.
I wouldn't want to take it out and attack people, it would get ripped to shreads in an instant. It would only be used as a role-play flagship, and only attack in self-defence or in the defence of other Artemis ships or clients in areas we are contracted with them in.
As in the role-play or the Destroyer, it is being built using money funnelled from Art.Gal.S. I don't want it thought of as a Zoner Destroyer being controlled by Artemis, but rather our own type of destroyer. I don't want people making our own destroyer, personally i'm against ships only used by one or two people.
It will not be requested for a long time, if this ever gets off the ground in the first place.

But i'm glad that the destroyer is your only concern for the moment.
Well other than that, your RP seems quite generic. The Mandalorian Mercs fight honoourably and all. The BHG are mainly former criminal scum. But then again, I think you could capitalize yourself on being the only generic PMC, since I don't think theres any other real 'generic' PMC so yeah.

Glad to hear it, is there anything else wrong you can see with this so far?
Added in a Weapon available section, just under Ships available.
Just added a list of ships we can use, not specifying what ones we are going to use.

What would people say about us adding Border World ships to our list? Because we might be hired against the main makers of them, the Outcasts, so it might seem a little odd.
In total support of this, it's really good.

I might consider joining in the near future if I lose a character or RP drifts me over.

*Thumbs Up*

This is a great idea and I see little going wrong.

I can also write you some stories if you like.

Glad to hear you like it, and were always happy to have new members who ask.

What sort of stories are you talking about? I wrote the story for this faction awhile ago, before I started writing properly, so may re-write it in the near future.

Edit: My 1,400th post:D
Changed the tag, and removed the Spatial from our available ship list after remembering it is an IMG ship.
