this is the story of a charecter I am planning to make. if it gets approved. first attempt at a story for a char. Jon is not the name im sticking with. just dont wana think of one right now. theres still allot more to this story. this is how much i got right now. just wondering if i should keep going or is it not good and a lost cause
Jon was a peculiar child. Never hung out with much people. Just stayed inside in front of his screen looking through code. He was always curious with what made the computer tick. His first software was a very very old piece of software known on old earth as Linux. By the time he was 14 he had a computer that surpassed even some medium company computers. The operating system was costume. Although anything other than computers he was completely not interested in and was too lazy to do. He was failing all classes except for computers which he was top of the class. By the time he graduated (which took a while with his little interest in anything else) he grabbed the first flight out of LA. He thought he might have been able to get a job as a freelance programmer getting a job here and there. Enough to raise some money for his very own ship. A bastion of electronics for him to customize and reprogram.
One day he was presented with an opportunity for a high paying job at Freeport 4. He was unable to pass this up seeing as the guy who had contacted him worked for Interspace, and he was curious whether he could get a perm job out of this. So before u knew it he was off to Freeport 4 in a ship sent from interspace sent to pick him up. But on his way through the trade lanes they suddenly jumped out of the lanes. He didn’t know what was going on. Next thing he knew he was looking out the cockpit to 3 Ships. 2 where fighters as he could make out. But the 3rd was too big to be a fighter and too small to be a cruiser. Before he knew it the ship he was in was disabled. Not a shot fired. The ship powered down except for the basic functions and com’s. Suddenly a man introduced himself to the pilot. He identified himself as a lane hacker. Fearing for his life Jon told the pilot to keep the hackers talking. He pulled out is laptop and connected to the ships main computer. In a few minutes he had the ship operational again. The pilot hit thrusters and ran for there life’s. But even with the hackers surprised they decided instead of destroying the ship to disable it and find out who could have overridden there program. Quickly the ship was plunged back into dark. This time there was a thunderous shock and the ship shook tremendously right before. And then he felt a smaller shacking. When he looked outside the cockpit he could see steel wires connected to his ship and they were moving. After a while he saw a large asteroid coming into view. As they came closer he could tell that it wasn’t only an asteroid. It was coverd with gun emplacements and 2 docking bays.
When they were brought out Jon was scared. He thought they would kill him for shur. But they instead dragged him into a prison. Threw him in. He thought they would soon drag him out to kill him. But instead a man fairly short and bald came into the brig. He said that he liked how Jon was able to enable the ship and get by hacker codes. So he was given a choice. He could work for the hackers or he could be fired out of a cannon into a star. Jon didn’t like the thought of being fired so he took the first option. Considering these where the lane hackers and that he could learn allot from them. With his already tight grasp on technology he was shown the ways of hackers. The high tech equipment they used and the programs they had created. At first they didn’t trust him much. But after he upgraded a few programs the higher ups could see he was a great asset. Although he made a few enemy’s with the other new guys. Before he knew it he was given his own ship for reconnaissance. His very own ship for him to tweak to his will. As long as it could function still to what the hackers wanted him doing. He was flying recon flights before he knew it. Acting as a spotter for pirating. Years later he was a shining example of the hackers. The higher ups where his best friends while the rookies he outshined where still in the base refueling his ship and repairing his stuff while he was having beer with the bosses. Soon he was sent on a recon mission into the New York badlands. There was an anomaly that the hackers wanted checked out and he was the best at recon and staying away from trouble. So there he was looking into this white orb. That was just glowing and fluctuating to the naked eye. But the stats on this thing where off the charts. It seemed to be a micro eddy but the readings said otherwise. But before he could get closer his ship shook. Suddenly he could see a liberty cruiser break through the heavy clouds in front of him. All he saw was the ship fire a giant shot. Looked bigger than his ship but luckily it missed. Unluckily it hit the anomaly. The anomaly shined very brightly and soon Jon was blinded and fell over and fainted from the intensity of it. The view from the cruiser saw their mortar hit the anomaly. Which seemed to feed it power and the thing grew consuming the hacker ship in it. Then suddenly it let out a giant burst of energy destroying the shielding on the cruiser. They where momentarily blinded but when they looked back the anomaly was back to normal and the hacker was gone. Presumed destroyed they left thinking good riddance
