Name: Kenji Shinoda
Date of birth: 19/04/790
Place of birth: Planet New Tokyo
Height: 196 cm
Weight: 99 kg

I was born on planet New Tokyo , in Kusari. I cant really say I was a tipical child. I didnt have too many friends because I did not follow the rules, or all the religious things everyone else did. I had quite a few problems with the police, but my father always saved me from it Or more like saving himself from the shame of his son being a law-breaker I finished my studies somehow, and tried to help my mother to make a living, while I did the best I could to get into the kusarian way of life, even though that was the hardest thing to do that I could imagine.

My father was a battleship captain of the Kusari Naval forces. He served his country for several years so far. He was respected by others, and because of this, his family was respected as well. I dont really have to mention, how much I hated sitting on military parades and special invitational dinners with the most higher ups of the Kusarian Naval Forces Eventualy, my father wanted me to join the Naval Forces. This was probably the worst thing I could imagine. I did whatever I could think of to escape service, not only because of the lack of interest int he Naval Forces, but also the methods they used int he Naval Forces. I had no intention of joining a system, where punishment comes hand-in-hand with the smallest mistake. Even if you dont tie your shoes right

No matter what I did, nothing was enough, and I was sent to a 2 year training as part of the recruitment to the Naval Forces. But during this time, all I did was trying to figure a way out to evade service for these maniacs. I didnt really want to become a piece of the great war machine against Bretonia. Honestly, I dont even care about the war. I dont really see the use of it. Killing people for a reason most of them fighting dont even know about Anyways, I finished my so-called training, but only got a few smaller things to do far away from the war. I have to admit, looking for pirates was a bit better than to be a murderer of war, since we knew what pirates do, therefore, we had a reason to hunt for them. Never the less, I could stay away from my father, who was sent out to battle.

During the time of my training, my mother was at home, on Planet New Tokyo, making special medicines and creams from different herbals which she gathered herself. She was also taking care of the house and so on, so I can say she was the perfect housewife. She never worried about me, since I could visit her very second day or so, but my father was usually away on his battleship.

One day, there was a guy knocking on the door. He was wearing the Kusari Naval Forces uniform. He gave us a letter from the High Command of the Naval Forces, and left. Didnt even say a word My mother opened the letter, started reading, but in the next minute, she fainted. I grabbed her while falling, put her on the sofa, and begun readin the letter:

Quote:From: Kusarian Naval Command
To: Mrs Shinoda, Planet New Tokyo

It is my duty to inform you that your husband, Commander Takashi Shinoda has failed to complete his duties and did not suceed in his task to ensure the victory of the Emperor. Therefore, he will be executed to ensure , he will be a good example for others, not to fail the emperor.
We also know that your son, Kenji Shinoda is also a part of the Naval Forces, therefore, he will be punished as well, to make sure he will not make the same mistake like his father.

We are waiting for Kenji to report on duty as soon as possible.
[font=Tahoma]
This was all they wrote. I got shocked not only because my father will be executed, and me awaiting punishment for nothing Ive done, but because of the shame my mother has to face in the future.

After a few days of thinking, since I only had to report for duty next week, I was trying to figure out a way to save my mother from mentaly breaking down from all the people They already looked at her like some kind of worm which they can easily stomp on I couldnt take this anymore. We have to find a better place to live this place is nothing like a normal home anymore.
I have talked to some friends who work as freelancers on different parts of the galaxy. Maybe they can help us. My mother is already willing to go anywhere, but to get out of here But which way should we go? Not to Liberty, or Rheinland the have good relations with Kusari, so they might give us out if caught The Edge worlds are far too dangerous to even think about it We have no other option We have to try that Even thought I dont really know if they will le tus stay or will give us back, we have no other option.
After talking to countless traders, Ive found one guy, who was willing to take the job for a good price but money was the last thing we cared about ..

-So, what do you want from me exactly?
-We want you to take us hidden in your ship out of Kusari. I know you are heading to the Omega systems, and that you wish to move your base to Bretonia.
-And why would you want to live in Bretonia? I dont really think youll be welcomed there
-That is non of your problems. Name the price and dont care about the rest.
- Fine than lets see for the two of you, 20 million credits will be enough
-Very well, I will give you half now, and the other half, after you put us down on Planet Leeds. I have a friend there who is in a refugee camp, he can help us from there on.
- All right, be ready tomorrow, and well inform you about departure as soon as possible.
-Thank you for your help Mr. Hmm I dont even know your name.
-Names are not important in this bussines and I dont know yours so I guess were even.
-All right, hope to hear from you tomorrow.

[font=Tahoma]
My mother already packed everything we needed by the time I got back home. I was honestly supprised how happy she was, even if our destination is Bretonia. She transferred half of the money to the traders bank account, and got everything ready for the next day. And then, the worst thing to do in this situation waiting But at least we made the first step .

Next day, the tradeships crew came for us, like they prommised , and took u sin total secret to the landing pad, where we saw a half-rust eaten ship-like thing My mother didnt show any sign of fear, however I got a little worried After packing everything, we finnaly took off. Ive left a message to a friend of mine at the Kusarian Naval Forces repair division to send my Chimera to leeds with a freelancer further more, I asked him to change the ID transponedr on it, to match the usual freelancers signal. I sure hope it works I might have use of that ship one day

After a few days of travel, we arrived to Leeds. We had quite a bit of trouble hiding from the Naval Forces patrols But we made it somehow. We got into the refugee camp, where my old friend, Kenzo has already arranged some accomodation for us . It was nothing big, but good enough to star with. Further more, with my mother on a safe place, I could start looking for a job, and never the less, start a new life away from Kusari. At least thats what I thought. Untill I heared that the Kusarians have made an assault ont he BAF near Leeds. I got really nervous. I just couldnt let them get everything they want I have to find a way to get back on them not to mention what they did to my father Now that we got these ID cards, I might be able to find a real job here, and maybe a new duty to fulfill.

*With these words, Kenji headed to the nearest BAF recruiting center, hoping he can change his faith once and for all*
* After getting back to Leeds, being a part of the Bretonian Armed Forces from now on, Kenji's first trip from the landing pad took him to their house, since he didn't have a chance to tell her the good news yet. Wearing his new uniform, as he walked home, everyone was looking at him. Noone talked to him, but Kenji somehow had a feeling they are thinking of like:

- What in heavens sake is this guy doing in that uniform?

or maybe

- Bloody hell, what's happening here?

Not really giving any sign of interst to talk to the people, he went straight home. As he stepped inside, his mother was making dinner , since he heared from the docking officers wife, that Kenji is home. She looked into the living room and suddenly dropped the spoon form her hand. *

- Kenji, I'm so proud of you! You don't even know how happy you make me. And this uniform! Suits you nice.

-Thank you mother! I'm also happy. I belive I've found my place, where I can do good for the country we live in. The higher ranking officers are really heplfull. I've allready met two of them, Captain Blake Owen and Commodore Neville Hughes .

-Tell me everything , I'm so excited, I want to know everything!

-Very well, mother! After my application got appected, I've been sent to the nearby Battleship Derby,to get my ship and equipment. unfortunately, not all equipment was avaliable here, but eventually all was gathered. Just finished preparing my ship, when Captain Blake Owen arrived, and asked if I'm ready for the basic flight test. The test itself was a basic 1 on 1 combat simulation, which I passed and the Captain was quite sattifsied with me. After leaving the training area, we went on patrol to Planet New London, and from there, to Planet Leeds. This was where we met Commodore Neville Hughes. Since my patrol was finished, I asked for permission to land on Leeds! And now, I'm here.

-I'm so happy Kenji. You found your place, and I know you will do your best!

-I me too mother, me too.

* With continued talking, they went into the kitchen, Kenji helped his mother finishing the meal and cleaning up the kitchen, and the sat down to eat...*
[font=Tahoma]*Time passed fast, as Kenji worked hard every day, as a member of the Bretonian Armed Forces. When he was not on duty, he attended to language courses, to improve his language capabilities and to make his life easier. After arriving home from a lesson from Salisbury, Winchester Academy he found a letter waiting for him. Since he begun serving in the Armed Forces, Kenji and his mother moved to New London, since Kenji saved enough to buy a small apartment on the planet. Kenji walked out to the balcony with the letter in his hand. He opened it. it was a letter from High Command, inviting him for a military parade, where medals, awards and promotions will be given. He was really excited but was absolutely sure, nothing will be given to him. After all, he was just a kusarian, who barely got into the BAF. He got his uniform out and started to get ready for the ceremony.

The ceremony took place on New London later on
[font=Tahoma]* Day by day, Kenji was getting more and more into living the Bretonian way of life, he made friends and got accepted by the people living around him and his mother. Their new house on New London was a lot better than anything they could imagine when they left New Tokyo. It all seemed so long ago, and still they didn’t forget all the pain and suffer they had to go through.
But times were changing and they changed a lot as well. Kenjji’s payment at the Armed Forces was far enough for them to maintain their home, so his mother could stay home and rest. She was still depressed from the events, and never could forget what they did int he past few months.
In the mean time, Kenji started to look for a ship to make his life easier, and to be able to travel to other places without using his Armed Forces ships. He knew that he wouldn’t be allowed to use them for personal interests, so he contacted an old friend of his, Hinamori Rangiku, who was the wife of a used ships dealer on New Tokyo. *

[color=#FFFFFF][font=Comic Sans Ms]-Konnichiwa Rangiku-san. It’s nice to hear your voice.
-Konnichiwa Shinoda-san, it’s been quite some time since we last talked.
-True. I think you already know why I called you. I’ve heared that the „Drone” my father used to own is now in your hangar awaiting to be sold. I’d like to know if there’s a way to get it out of there for me.
-Why do you always come with such easy favours Kenji? Sure, I can arange things for you, but I doubt the ship could get to Bretonia without getting attacked.
-I know, that’s why I need you to take itt o Deshima Station in Shikoku.
-What do you have to do with Bounty Hunter?
-Nothing, just leasing some weapons from them. They will be expecting the ship.
-All right, I have to go now, take care Kenji.
-Domo arigato, Hinamori. Sayonara!

[font=Verdana]* After a few days, the ship was ready to head out to Deshima, and by then, Kenji arranged a few things as well. After requesting sent to the Bretonian Armed Forces Admirality to allow him the use of this ship in Bretonian space, and contacting the Bounty Hunters about weapons, everything was ready.*
[font=Tahoma]* Life went on like usual for Kenji, he was off duty for some time and took the opportunity to visit some places. But the time for vacation was short, so he had to get back to his duties as a Lieutenant Commander of the Armed Forces to protect Bretonia. Patrols and operations were like usually, however the Kusari Naval Forces seemed like they cut the amount of attacks against Leeds. Kenji was ordered to perform a regular patrol around Leeds while also checking on LD-14. On his way there, he was contacted by a BMM convoy also heading that way*

[font=System]-To Lieutenant Commander Kenji Shinoda of the Bretonian Armed Forces, this is BMM convoy Delta-6. We are heading to LD-14 with a load of dangerous matterials and we would need some escort. Could you give us a hand?
-BMM Delta-6, this is Lieutenant Commander Shinoda, I am more then happy to escort you . Send over the coordinates for a checkpoint where I can meet you.
-Wonderful Lieutenant Commander Shinoda. Sending coordinates over right now. We'll be waiting for you.

[font=Tahoma]*The flight was rather quiet, Kenji escorted the convoy safely to LD-14. Once he got resupplied, took off and started a patrol flight to make sure the lane towards the station has no hostiles around. It was nothing special and he was hoping to finish it fast.

About twenty minutes, Kenji noticed something on scanners. At first, it was only one hostile contact, then as it moved closer, numbers modified to 2 , then 4 and by the time Kenji looked up, he saw a group of 6 Chimera class fighters closing in on his position. Knowing that he doesn't stand a chance against all these hostiles, Kenji tried to evade their disruptor fire and head back to Battleship York, stationed nearby. *

[color=#FFFFFF][font=System]-Battleship York , this is Lieutenant Commander Kenji Shinoda, I am under attack by the Kusari Naval Forces, requesting backup!
*Static*
-Battleship York , do you read me?
-No need to try and call your friends you traitor, we'll make sure you don't make it back.

[font=Tahoma]*With these words, the Kusarian fighters started a rain of weapons fire targeting Kenji's Templar. He tried to evade as much as he could and at the same time get back close enough to Macduff to call them for help. Unfortunately, a single fighter couldn't be hard to hit by 6 attackers, and the end of the fight was already clear. Kenji will loose . As a last try, he fired all the mines that were on his ship at that time, hoping to make enough disturbance amongst the attackers to allow him to escape, but he had no luck with it. The last thing he remembered was the ships left wing burning in flames and a huge blast as the life pod blasted itself out of the exploding wreck that was once called a ship. *

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

More then 2 weeks have passed and noone had any information about Kenji's whereabouts. His mother was sitting home all day, watching the news and waiting for anyone to give her some answers about his son. She even thought about the worst case, that he not only lost his husband because of the Kusarian Navy, but his son aswell. On that particular day, she saw a white pigeon in her window. It was a pretty rare sight on New London, and she knew something happened. But it was time for the news, so she didn't bother to think about it much. After a few minutes , she prayed she would have.

As she turned the screen on, the news program was just about to start. She sat down with a glass of tea and was hoping for the best. Suddenly, the glass fell out of her hands and the tea landed on the carpet.

[color=white]"Good morning. Today we bring a breaking news topic. An Armed Forces pilot, Kenji Shinoda, was declared missing in action today. His vessel was found by Bretonian Police Constables doing a routine patrol in a very hostile district of planet Leeds. He was reported missing two weeks ago when he failed to show up for a routine inspection. Kenji Shinoda, was a Kusari native who fled from Kusari in hopes of starting a better life for himself, and to escape the oppression that plagues Kusari."

The Camera shifts to an image behind Dixon, the image is of Kenji Shinoda just before his disappearance.

[color=white]"Military Intelligence Section Five, along with Armed Forces Military Police are looking into this pilots disappearance. It is unknown at this time if Lieutenant Commander Shinoda was killed, or fled back to Kusari, Military Intelligence Section Five sources however say that he was most likely killed in the line of duty."

The image in the background changes to a man wearing a Bretonian Uniform, Austin Goodman.

"Further developments into Commander Austin Goodman were released today, as the deadline for the trial nears. As many of you may know, Commander Austin Goodman is being tried on counts of assault, stealing military technology, resisting arrest on multiple accounts. We will bring you more as these stories develop. I'm Jeffery Dixon with your news from around the Kingdom."

[font=Tahoma]* The floor of the prison cell was cold and hard, as Kenji started to regain conciseness. He didn'€™t really have a clue about where he was or what happened, all he felt is a pretty bad headache. Trying to find something out, Kenji tried to remember what happened, but all he could remember is the flames eating up his ship as he catapulted in the escape pod. After figuring out he can'€™t get anything else out of his head, he looked around but found nothing that could help him in telling where he is, except for a small window.*
[color=#FFFFFF][font=System]~Oh great, this is my luck, locked up in a prison cell. What'€™s next? ~
[font=Tahoma]*Few minutes after these thoughts, Kenji wished he never thought about it. Two officers opened the door and walked in. They also turned the lights up in the cell, so Kenji turned into a blind bat. After a few seconds, his eyes got used to the light and he could see the outlines of the two people standing in front of him. He didn'€™t need to see them to know, they are most probably officers of the State Police or worse, pilots of the Naval Forces. Fortunately for Kenji, they were just police officers and with a bit of luck, Kenji'€™s former admiral doesn'€™t even know he'€™s back in Kusari yet. But the fun was just about to start.*

[color=#FFFFFF][font=System]- Kenji Shinoda, I'€™m glad to see you'€™re awake. Took you long enough. I believe you know why you are here. And if you haven'€™t figured out yet, you are in a cell of Fuchu. I hope you already know what that means.
- Officer, it'€™s always nice to pay a visit for old times. But I believe you didn'€™t keep me alive just to talk about this. So what do you want from me?
- My name is Officer Shinji Hitoshi. I have read your profile in the Naval Forces database on Myoko. I know much about you. Like the fact that you deflected to Bretonia, you traitor.
- Oh so it'€™s the old song again? I can'€™t remember how many times I'€™ve heard that while flying with the Armed Forces. Anything else?
- You are brave aren'€™t you, Shinoda. Well, this will soon change. Your trail will begin next week, since the Admirals are busy right now with killing your Bretonian friends.
- We'€™ll see about that. Until then, could I get something to eat? I'€™m starving.

[font=Tahoma]*The officers didn'€™t answer, just walked out of the cell. Kenji wasn'€™t sure if he over did it or not, but there was nothing to change now. All he could do is to hope for the best and figure a way out to escape before he'€™s taken to another place. For some strange reason, they forgot to switch the lights off. That was good for Kenji, since this way he could take a look around the cell. After a few minutes of observation, he found a place on the wall which was different from everything else. As Kenji walked to it, he noticed four screws in the wall. *
<span style="font-size:10pt;line-height:100%]
[color=#FFFFFF][font=System]-Bingo!
'€“ He shouted, because he knew what'€™s behind the wall. None other the electric cables. At least according to how these Kusarian prison cells were use to be built. Fortunately, these officers really don'€™t know anything about the pilot uniforms of the Armed Forces, so they didn'€™t notice the things Kenji kept hidden in his pocket. One of them was a small tool kit. In a matter of seconds, Kenji got the cover down and found a bunch cables running in the wall. After some further observation, he found one that was supposed to be a communications cable. All of the sudden, sound of footsteps came from the corridor, so Kenji rushed to put the cover back on and try to hide the fact that he found that place. For the time being, all he could do is wait and find the opportunity and the way to send a message out to anyone.*
