*On BPA-Newgate Prison Station*

Two BPA officers stood outside Kimbles cell. John ignored them and continued to stare at the ceiling, pondering his chances of escaping.


One of the officers turned to the other.

Are you sure its okay to let him go?

We investigated him down to his dental records. He has no criminal history, though he seems to be delusional. He truly believes hes a cop, but the LPI denied ever employing a John Kimble. At any rate, this guys only crime is being an idiot.

This whole case has been a big waste of time. Lets just get him out here and be done with it.

The first officer banged his baton against the bars to get Kimbles attention.

Hey, Kimble! Looks like its your lucky day. The Warden has decided to release you.

Kimble sat up straight and growled at the officers.

Its about time! Im a cop you idiot! Because of you, I have lost valuable time! Now I must reacquire Sarah Conner. Wait until the commissioner hears about THIS! He is going to hit the ROOF!

The BPA looked at each other and laughed. One of them spoke up.

Whatever, man. We contacted the LPI and they said they aint never heard of someone named Kimble.

John stared at the ground in disbelief. The LPI had abandoned him. They must have fired him over the sexual harassment investigation. Now he had no job to go back to.

As the BPA escorted Kimble to his ship, he considered his options. Finally, he decided his best course would be to find Sarah Conner on his own and earn his way back into the ranks. He would show the LPI that he was a competent police officer.

The BPA handed him back the equipment they confiscated. Kimble checked to make sure nothing was missing. It felt good to have his weapons back.
As Kimble lifted off from the prison station, his mind was made up. He wasnt going back to Liberty. He was on extended holiday in Bretonia until he picked up the trail on Conner once again.


He couldnt be bargained with. He couldnt be reasoned with. He didnt feel pity, or remorse, or fear. And he absolutely would not stop, ever, until Conner was in custody.

Kimble was out of jail, and hot on the trail of Sarah Conner. Afterwards, the BPA had been nice enough to help him pick up the trail where he left off. John decided that the Bretonians were nice people, because they gave him detailed files, and because crumpets was a funny word.


His investigation lead him on an adventure across Sirius, and he saw many amazing things. Since he'd never been on a vacation, he decided to take lots of pictures.





Eventually, Kimble's journey lead him back to Liberty, where he tracked his prey into the organization known as the Liberty Rogues. From this point on, he was going to have to go undercover to get what he wanted. And so, Douglas Quaid was born.
