The lonely destroyer plowed it's way through the asteroid field, it's engines burning and it's gun's glowing hot from use as the star's orange glare painted the side of the ship.

A small scrap field had been left behind the vessel, now being picked apart by several Junkers and a few Molly freighters.

Where once had been a battle worthy of retelling now was a wasteland of dead and destroyed.

The Molly Destroyer Gaelic was enroute to the Omega systems after helping dispatch a Kusarian mining group.
Arriving to find their mining operations in full swing, the destroyer had opened fire on the foreign invaders before they had time to send a transmission to the ship.

Tearing through the Kusarian metal, the Gaelic's guns had done critical damage to several of the ships and ruptured the reactor core of all but two. The remaining Hegemon and Big Dragon had suffered far too much damage to be repaired but the metal from which they were built was a valuable resource for Junker and Molly alike.

The Gaelic itself had not received much damage, most of it being absorbed by it's shielding, due to the confusing and surprising nature of the attack. Some minor damage had been caused but nothing that would affect battle performance. As such, the Captain had decided to continue along their route.

Their goal was short and sweet, to kill Corsairs.
Hurtling back into realspace, the Gaelic arrived in Omega-47.

Only recently dispatched from Dublin, it had seen some action already in Omega-49. A small Corsair gunboat had been spotted on it's lonesome and, after a swift chase, dispatched just as swiftly. Luckily, it hadn't managed to break through the Destroyer's shielding, allowing the Gaelic to move on quickly before reinforcements arrived.

Such was to be the tactics employed in Omega-47 too, albeit with some more caution and a lot more danger.

Plotting a course for nearby Casablanca station, the Gaelic's engines came to life, to push it through the dark void till it would reach the relative safety of the Hessian base.
