Subject: Mining operations and defense in Omega systems

We just received and emergency transmission from the base commander of Briesen.
Today we lost several defense ships to hessian forces in O7; this is not the first time our forces are slaughtered by the revolutionaries.
We also received word from the executive commander of Base defense forces, stating that several security guards have heard of workers speaking of a potential strike if the losses continue to rise.
The hessian aligned pirates known as "Neo-Vikings" have acquired a Vidar cruiser, the CR is not helping; one of their pilots stayed away from the fight, giving the workers of Briesen another reason to distrust the current treaty and the Colonial's intentions in the system.
The commander of Briesen is requesting a heavy capital ship be moved to Omega 7 to aid in the defense of the fields from the occasional incursions of these heavy armed pirates.
Several mining captains have already requested an increase in the security, which we of course can grant with Eagles and Rocs, right now Briesen control is about to collapse, if we don't have enough miners, we won't be able to fill this month quote of production.
