In the event that this is not the case, you will be free to tow what will be your ship again back to wherever you want.

Yes, we want a cruiser. Two reasons, both of which are easy to figure out for any mind keenly geared to the tactical importance of a nimble cruiser in combat and the invaluable strategic nature of up-to-date civil and military information both of our allies and our enemies. Of course, we need it under its own power before we can use it in this capacity, let alone hope to reverse engineer part or all of the main hull. From what I've already heard, the latter wont be possible for at least the remainder of my lifetime. Only replication, and below-par copies at that.
