Konnichiwa.

As you explore and encounter phenomena worthy of note, report them here.

As always, be respectful of restricted systems of various groups throughout Sirius, and do not enter them without premession.

And keep in mind the Admirals orders to not approach Gallic space as of yet.

Zoner Defence Force Exploration Command vessel Samothraki have been temporary moved to planet Skagen orbit in Omega-15 system. The primary objective is a full-scale research of the planet that only has a small and inferior entry in the database.

Planet Skagen is located at sector 7-F in Omega-15 system. Approaches to the planet are covered by a large debris field where Junker installation is located. The small shuttle sent to the station brought the information about the origins of debris field: it was created by an explosion of a large station, possibly Rheinland installation. Any attempts to collect more information about the station have failed.

The planet was found to be much more interesting object. First of all, we found out that all our information about the planet was wrong. Skagen itself corresponds a gravitation anomaly within a 4 klicks zone. No source of it was found, but the sphere around the planet is a deadly place: great terrestrial attraction and enormous level of radiation is able to make a ship of any size a piece of scrap.

At 0:50 Sirius Meanwhile Time several drones have been sent to the anomaly zone. All the drones have been destroyed like in 1,5-1,7 klicks distance from planetary surface. The data collected allows us to know that the level of ionizing radiation on around the planet.

LET (Linear Energy transfer) in the area is over 400 eV and the recorded g (Average gravitation constant) of the planet is like 34.1 m/s*s. It makes entering the anomaly extremely dangerous for any ships not designed for such occasions. In fact, modern navigation systems and engines are not able to take the ship out of such anomaly in exception of several capital ship class vessels that got enough protection to survive it for a few minutes. All the other ships are doomed.

In that case, I’m marking planet Skagen as an extremely dangerous zone and recommend any vessels to come close only in special occasions.

At the same time, the planet and the anomaly pose a piece of interest for future research and I suggest to send another expedition with the required equipment and robots that will be able to enter the atmosphere and perform the scans on the surface.

Greetings Captain Tomoe,

Our maps are becoming a little outdated and we are looking for some of our start charts to be updated. The current systems that we would like to be check out are as follows.
  • Tau-23
  • Tau-37
  • Omega-3
  • Omega-7
  • Tau-29
  • Omicron Delta
  • Omicron Kappa
Also, we have reports of a Jump Hole to the newly discovered Gallic Systems in the Orkney System. We would like the location of this Jump hole to be mapped out and any intelligence that can be gathered on this hole is very valuable.

I remind you all that you are not to enter the Gallic systems by any reasons. No matter what the circumstances. Am I clear?

Good, if any of the Council are there, interact with them and see if you can gather a SitRep on the situation from them.

Ravenor Out!

Today I was checking my message box looking for interesting rumors in the tons of spam about the cute kusarian women on Manhattan just for 1500 credits per hour and other nice stuff. And again I got two messages with rumors about the second entrance to Gallia located deep in the Omicrons.

I have no intention to forget it, so I contected the pilot mentioned in one of the rumors - mister Chenzo of 101st Maltese Guard Squadron - The Ghosts of Razgriz.

Bernard: Good day. Can I borrow some of your time for a litle question?
Chenzo: Si, fire away
Bernard: Exporation Command is searching for a rumored entrance into the Gallia somewhere deep in Omicrons. We're trying to collect as many information as possible, so I wondered if Maltese know something.
Chenzo: hmm.. I am not too sure about those gallics to be fair, senor... I heard rumours there's a path through the Tau's..
Bernard: We have recieved the report about he path in Taus some time ago. That's right.
Chenzo: To be frank, We have the occasional visitor.. the union course seem like a bunch of.. confused but safe bunch, we give them some cardi from time to time, thr route there or back however I don't know
Bernard: Hm, that's interesting. I would like to request a permission for Exploration Command vessels to enter...
Chenzo: Enter maltese space ?
Bernard: Yes.
Chenzo: You may be granted, once scanned, senor. However, if you are seeking more.. long term rights to land here, I suggest you make a open communication on the neural net to Jameson.
Bernard: Thank you, sir. We will inform Maltese units about our approach and wait for all the procedures to pass. And, concerning the docking rights I'm not sure we need it. We usually operate in deep space for weeks without resupplying.
Chenzo: That sounds like the best option to me, Senor
Beranrd: Great. I will inform Tomoe-san, Exploration Command leader about our agreement immideately.
Chenzo: well, The best of luck senor, call if you need us, chenzo out.

In that case I suggest to send Exploration Command vessels there as soon as possible since confirming the location of the jump hole to Gallic space in Omicrons may be extremely useful in current diplomatical deadlock in relations with Gallic authorities.

--Location: Planet Primus, Omicron Kappa System
--Subject: Omicron Kappa

Greetings!
I see the good Admiral has given you the job of mapping out several systems, including Omicron Kappa. Well, I've been making very good progress out here on Primus, but when moving the Norfolk Island around this system we keep coming up against unknowns. I don't like unknowns. So, consider this a polite request for your chaps to help me out a little, yes?

I need detailed maps of the Omicron Kappa system. I want as much information about this system as possible. A few specific things:
Detailed plots of the Critical Stellar EM Output Radius, the so-called "Death Zone" of the stars in the system. Where a ship's shields first encounter significant pressure, when a ship will begin dropping hull integrity, and at what distance the closest asteroids can be found.

Information on the density, distribution and orientation of the asteroids in the system. Also, the furthest extent of the field, and any regions of clear space within, including the minumum distances of asteroids to both Planets Primus and Gammu.

The exact locations and readings on all the jumpholes in the system. And be on the lookout for any more jumpholes, or gravitational anomalies. The number and strength of Nomad forces in the system is very high, and I suspect that there may be a hidden jumphole that they use to enter, or perhaps even a base of some sort. Be vigilant!

Good luck to you, and best of luck!

By the way... I have been getting some odd reports of certain behaviour. Cause any more diplomatic incidents, and mark my words... you will not like the outcome. My host here has re-ignighted my interest in historical fencing, and I've learned quite a number of interesting new techniques.

Anyhow... Cheerio!
*Salutes*

Looks like change of plans. Administrator Jameson have confirmed the existance of the the notorius jump hole but denied our permission to enter the system where the hole is located. In the current situation we understand each other's worries about Maltese and Zoner security purposes and even since we can continue work in that direction and try to negotiate information sharing, planning expedition to that part of space is no longer needed.

Since we have several ships relocated to Baffin (including ZDF-EC-Samothraki) to enforce the blocade, we can perform a short expedition to Orkney system to complete another significant part of our work.

Today on the way from Tau-37 to Orkney I got a distress call from Pioneer Corporation ship located at Freeport-10. It was under heavy fire from Outcast fighter and. sadly, got a final hit that trasformed it into flames. Right after that MNS-Rosario appeared on scanners screaming about the revenge.

Samothraki was heavily damaged, but no crew members were killed. At least some good news were good to hear. Anyway, we're now stationed in Baffin near Pueblo Bonito and completing all the service checks. It will take some time

In fact, I noticed a strange tactic: each time my gunner was properly aiming at the Rosario, the fighter with shields turned on maximum was ramming Samothraki and that way was upsetting the aiming. It is a real problem there.

I'm working on ulpoading updates to Tau-37 map into our navigation systems.

The work on Tau-37 map is complete. All the jump holes, stations are uploaded to server as well as couple of wrecks located. I'm uploading report along with information on all the mapped objects. { Direct link to the map in the database }

Falkland Base, coordinates 6-C.

Quote:The Independent Mining Guild (IMG) established Falkland Base on an asteroid in the Tau-37 system soon after the construction of Freeport 10. Falkland has easy access to the rich deposits of Niobium nearby, a mineral rare enough to make the effort involved in mining and transporting it back to the colonies extremely profitable. However, Falkland and other IMG operations are subject to frequent attacks by local pirates, making life aboard the base a risky proposition at best.

Barossa, coordinates 6-E.

Quote:The wreckage of IMG freighter "Barossa". This ship was attacked by Outcasts several month ago. It was carrying niobium.

Tau-39 jump hole, coordinates 6-F

Quote:Access to the system is restricted by Independent Miners Guild. No information avaliable.

Freeport 10, coordinates 4-F.

ZDF-EC-Samothraki, coordinates 4-E.

Griffin, coordinates 2-D/2-E.

Quote:The remains of the "Griffin". The registered owner was Bounty Hunter Jessica Stephenson.

Omicron Alpha jump hole, coordinates 3-E.

Quote:Omicron Alpha is the home system of the Outcasts, a criminal organization known for trafficking the drug Cardamine. Not much is known, but this system, notably, contains the heavily damaged remains of the sleeper ship Hispania. The system has an unknown jumphole in a large nebula called Siniestre cloud. Siniestre is being rumored to be used as burial grounds for Outcasts and their ships with their most valuable cargo and it can be indicated from the wrecks surrounding the unknown jumphole, some of them containing valuable and rare weapons

Tau-23 jump hole, coordinates 6-D.

---

I would also like to notice that due to current situation and possible threat to Zoner ships in some areas of space including Omicron Theta, Omega-41, Omega-47 and Tau-37 I recommend any ships entering the area only after requesting situation reports from present IMG and Zoner vessels to prevent lethal incidents.

I also want to suggest to escort all the ore convoys from Tau-37 with two or three light vessels or load them at Yaren base in Tau-23 where IMG and ICMG units can provide additional security to non-combatants.

Updated survey of Tau23 complete.

Notable information as follows.

The systems primary contains greater ammounts of radioactive elements than is normal, resulting in the system having a higher background radiation level than normal, meaning continual false alarms from ships systems.

The corona is first encounterd at approximatley 5k units out.

As is expected, the area interior to the systems debries field and exterior to the systems primary is relativity clear for travel.

Next of is the wreck of a bunter fighter at 8F, registerd as the Wolverine and listed as missing by the guild.

Next up is the BMM gate construction side. As this is well known, I shant waste time with details on it.

However, it does appear that the tradelane system intended to run into the mining fields was further along in construction than had been recorded by our sources.

Depending on how things progress, it may be profitable to 'aquire' some of the components and bring them to the guys at Corinth.

With the large ammount of unregisterd traffic that the system has, such an operation would be preformed with minimal risk.

At the end of the route for the lane marked by buoys laid out by DSE, there is a mostly abandoned mining depot.

It's defenses are rather minimal, and I suspect they are likley trading with the Kusari, IMG, and Outcast in some form or another to stay alive. That, or they are simply too small of a detail to waste time on, in the minds of those whom are the developers of the situation.

As you can see on the attached map of the system, the Niobium fields in proximity to Java station have since played out, and the remaining fields are located some distance from Java.

There is a Jumphole, however, to the Tau 37 system in proximity to those fields.

While I have not been there, as I understand it the IMG has a substantial presence there, as such I did not enter.

To the north of java of course is the Tau37 hole, as anyone who has visited FP10 should know.

To the northeast of Java are two more holes. The one to Kyshu is reletivley well known.

The other one leads to Tau44, were the Colonial Republic has a heavy presence.

A survey of that system is discouraged, as it isnt our buisness.

However, as I have visited for a refit to the Hinaichigo some time ago
I can confirm that the presence of Colonials is more than a rumor

To the east of the star is Cali base.

Im sure we have recent records on it, however due to the recent tensions with the Maltese I chose not to dock or approach.

To the southeast of the systems primary is the tau29 hole, it's position has not changed, and it remains the quickest way back into baffin.

The Orkney hole is located due west of the star, it's position is of course noted on the map.
