Carcinogen:
car-cin-o-gen
n. A cancer-causing substance or agent.
Carcinogens are all around us, in most every chemical base, though not coupled as such.
But the fact remains the potential to destroy a human life is everywhere, in men, in boxes, in our own air.
A carcinogen acts by damaging or altering the DNA coding of the human body resulting in uncontrolled replication of cells in most.
Carcinogens alter the way in which cells operate, often altering the metabolic processes of the cell leading to genomic instabilities.

Co-carcinogen
co-car-cin-o-gen
n. An agent that aggravates the carcinogenic effects of another substance.

Co-carcinogens operate in conjunction with another substance to aggravate the already carcinogenic effects of it to new extremes or to
act as the catalyst to the carcinogenic effects of the substance in question.

[size=small]An
example of such a substance would be the interior lining in optical chips, a substance consisting of two carbon molecules,
three niobium molecules and two deuterium molecules. All benign on their own and all key to the trade industry in Sirius.
When these components are combined they are used to line optical chips and various other technological marvels that are distributed
throughout all of the houses.
When this chemical combination is exposed to poorly shielded transport pods which have been exposed to
spacial radiation they change in base property and take on a carcinogenic effect.
This has been known for many centuries now, it was discovered in early 203 AS. So why wasnt this known
to the inter space courier service that had shipped the optical chips?
