The basic idea behind this group of Hessians is that they are old school hessians.

That implies they are stationed at Ronneburg Base holding the line against the Corsairs, makeing sabotage raids into Corsair space, and actually protecting the Rheinland Citizens from the Corsairs, while still fighting the oppressive Rheinland regime.

The Story behind the Volkskorps is that they mostly consists of Ex-Miners and Kruger/Daumann Security that basicly had enough with the oppressive actions of the corporations the citizens and especially the Miners, all the while the military and police does nothing to stop the slaughter of rheinland miners and citizens at the hands of the corsairs.

This is ofcourse just an idea that i wanted peoples opinons on i will make a more RP like background story for them once i get some feedback from people.
Well I don't really see how this is different from a normal Hessian faction, are you going to be focused on corsairs? If your main focus is fighting corsairs then it's a bit different from the exisitng hessian factions; anyway if you want to do it go ahead with it.
Judging by what you wrote, the Red Hessian Army is pretty much the same. Though they don't officially focus on combating the Corsairs, I think we can observe them hitting Corsair targets and Gamma more often than Rheinland territory, lately.

You could work on adding details that visibly make the faction different, stuff that the RHA rarely does, or does not do at all.
' Wrote:Judging by what you wrote, the Red Hessian Army is pretty much the same.

RHA does both. Fights sair front and fights for volk against kanzler.

If you would limit hessian faction to only "Fight corsairs" or "Fights kanzler" you'll end up with 2 inactive factions, becouse it will be too less to do around. Now player can switch to the place which has more activity at the given time and has his time in disco.

Besides if you want to go to the routes of hessians, you should be simple pirates.. Red Hessian Army took political way of the faction which is not quite accurate. But whatever. It's disco. A lot of things are diffrent here.
Well I'm sorry but this factional description is kinda lacking in some areas, people tend to like to know more details before they make comments. I'll give you an example (Note this is JUST AN EXAMPLE and not a real faction).

Der Frei Leute

The Free People

-History/Basic Information-

Year; 817, September 17th. Rheinland, Omega 11.

For years the Red Hessians have been pushing towards freeing Rheinland from the tyrannical yoke of the Chancellor, having limited successes due to being opposed by multiple forces all around them, the Corsair Empire knocking on their very doorstep to the rear, the Rheinland Military and Police opposing them at every turn in Rheinland space, a Libertonian invasion and the common pirates of Sirius.

Hermann Von Untermann, a Hessian Combat Pilot, cynical and believing himself a 'realist' comes to believe that the Red Hessian movement should break down the freeing of their home one part at a time. Focusing his eyes upon Omega 11, Omega 5 and Omega 7, believing them key points of interest in their struggle, Untermann focuses the efforts of a small group of Hessian 'realists' into these systems in an attempt to systematically clear them of hostiles to make way for their Revolution of Patience. Not as grandiose as the Red Hessian Army and not as Criminal-like in their actions as the Neo-Vikings, these Hessians believe less in the 'Power of the People' and lesser in 'The Power of the Credit' and instead channel their own belief in 'The Power of Patience'. Believing that a targeted approach instead of a wide-scale revolution is required to overcome adversity.

The Free People share much of the moralities of the Sirius Coalition Revolutionary Army and as such try to limit their attacks upon Civilians who are not not Rheinland-Based, however those who support the Rheinland Government or the Corsairs are halted, taxed and/or forced to drop their cargo.

With the recent Corsair assaults upon the Freeports of the Zoner Movement they have become increasingly aggressive towards Corsairs Raiders in the Omega Systems, even willing to strike deep into Corsair Territory for the perceived threat.

Most of these Hessians are former Miners or Escort Pilots, limited in training unlike their Red Hessian Army Counter-Parts, however they believe themselves possessing the will to do what it takes to do what they believe must be done.

THIS is how you make a faction writeup. Details are important and go a long way to making your faction look 'joinable'.
Quote:For years the Red Hessians have been pushing towards freeing Rheinland from the tyrannical yoke of the Chancellor

That's only RHA which consists from politicly orantied Hessians which are not majority.. Damn use bundschuh for such ideas, ok. That faction could really use more people. Also lugers are getting a buff in .86 too.

Simple hessians are more like pirate/plunder/expand/kill than idealogical orantied army.

Sorry if my post looks a bit agressive D: none intented.
Contact a native german about the correct wording before, please. Yes you too Tabris. PLEASE.
' Wrote:Simple hessians are more like pirate/plunder/expand/kill than idealogical orantied army.

This is true. There are more old school Hessians these days than modern Hessians.

In other news, I'd like to welcome you to Red Hessian Army Mk II. You see, everyone in that faction is an idealist and there are no pirates at all. In fact, the RHA doesn't even pirate. They're mostly there for fighting the enemies of the "people." So, I think that's the faction you're really looking for.
It was only meant as an example as to the length and what should be in the description, it's not meant to be real, just from the top of my head. Just to show that Information helps alot when people are looking at factions.

Never assume. >_>

And yes I know my German isn't very good, again this wasn't meant to be a real faction, just an example. >_>

Where did you get that from because I am not sure? Making assumptions is silly, go read the wiki page about the RHA, and more specifically, the rank structure so that you can get a feel of how RHA RP really looks like.

Anyway I am not sure where this faction idea is going, it looks kind of invented on a whim. Hopefully you guys are flying around ingame getting a feel of the surroundings before expanding the faction status or something.
