Duncan born in family of teacher and engines designer. From very beginning he was interested in science, but highest priority was given to biology and computers.
When he was 17 years old, he created his very first computer program. It was primitive anti-virus system; anyway, it was significant job in age of his.
Anyway, later this program was modified by programmer Steven Hoph. Modified version of SHAVS (Steven Hoph Anti Virus System) was one of the most used templates of future anti-viruses.
Steven Hoph claimed all fame to himself.
Studies
In 6 B.C.E., when he was 18 years old, Duncan was signed to University of Libris Research Institute, to qualify in Information Defence & Usage.
When Duncan reached second studying years, in the years 5 B.C.E. he created a virus, called 'Centurion', which could disable any anti-virus, created by the same template like SHAVS. Soon, after few tests, virus was activated. 3 months was full of chaos. No one could exactly tell, what was source of virus, and how to eliminate it, any of anti-virus systems wasn't strong enough to take it out. In beginning of 4th month, virus disappeared. Duncan announced, that he 'found' the way, how to eliminate the virus. He published his freshly created anti-virus, called DCAAVS-1 (Duncan Chevalier Advanced Anti-Virus System v1). DCAAVS-1 was big sensation. Rapidly growing popularity of new system made Duncan most famous student in Crayter.
Anyway, this popularity bang faded, when new viruses, created by unknown hackers, appeared. They could disable any version of DCAAVS. Soon, independent programmers find out, that DCAAVS-1 could eliminate only 'Centurion' and other older viruses. Because lack of updates, publishing of DCAAVS-1 was ceased.
After the studies
After 4 years of studying, Duncan qualified as Lead Programmer of Information Defence & Usage.
In 2 years B.C.E. he began to work in Perseus Defense Station as its defense systems administrator and Lead Programmer. But soon, after significant showing in operation 'Raven Claw', which's main objective was to locate hacker's gang, known as 'Ares Fist', headquarters, Duncan have been elected to post of Prime Minister in Ministry of Colonial Defense.
Exodus
In the last months of Crayter, then terrible founding of black hole was published, Duncan had to take serious choices. There wasn't enough time to save all the people of Crayter sector, the only option- take the 'brightest ones'. The list of most intelligent, greatest military persons, artists, and other, who had significant notes in their personal history, was made. This list was the only hope, the ticket, to make the nation survive. However, President Cylun Jhon didn't agree with idea of Duncan.
When 7 days before Exodus was left, Duncan initiated unnamed operation, which was revolt, actually. He announced that president is traitor of nation, and he must be eliminated, to make sure that 'Craytan Nation will be saved'. Only 3 members of Quorum of Twelve didn't agree with him, that President is taking wrong choices. In the dawn of 2nd day of revolt, all allies, including the President was executed by the order of Duncan Chevalier.
However, all this bloodshed had terrible results. There were only 2 space vessels, which could be used as sleeper ships, so primary Exodus plan have been executed. All persons from the lists have been transported to launching facility day and night. Thousands of turrets were guarding the launch pad defense walls to make sure that there won't be any civilians, who are not marked in list, will sneak up. Many of them tried that, all of them were shot.
Sirius
Just soon, as Craytan Sleeper ships reached Sirius and first passengers were waked up, Duncan left Colonial Republic and moved to Bretonia. No one knew the true reason, actually. One of the versions is that Duncan was afraid of survived allies of former president. In first two years he lived in Cambridge, however, later he moved to Leeds.
Until the date, he worked in various science projects for all kind of factions. He was the lead scientist in research project 'Project Nomad', its objective was to create virus, which can manipulate human brains and create various custom hallucinations in few seconds. The project was abandoned due several failures in tests, when half of research team gone crazy or their brains just exploded due too strong signal of virus. Anyway, this project has been continued later, but this time, in control of Colonial Republic.
Return to Colonial Republic
Even then Duncan was spotted in Minato pubs several times; he had no ties with any projects of Colonial Republic.
Anyway, in 817 it was officially confirmed, that Duncan Chevalier has returned to Colonial Republic, however, not for the long time. True reasons of that are unknown, but it is believed, that lack of job and funding for his own, independent researches, made Duncan to return.
Just soon after return, Duncan took the lead of recreating abandoned project 'Project Nomad', which was abandoned by Lane Hackers. Project was completed successfully (See: 'Prototype-1').
Science projects
1. 'Project Nomad' (in control of anonymous individuals).
'Project Nomad' first time was mentioned and initiated by scientist Dorian Grace; anyway, due Grace's death in one of LSF's raids, project was abandoned and forgotten.
In 815 A.S. project data was found in archives and revived again. This time, the same individuals hired Duncan as leader of project
'Project Nomad' was a codename of next-generation virus, which could manipulate human's brains via communications and create custom hallucinations to set target. This could help to take control of transports (or whole convoys) without any casualties.
Anyway, project failed, because rush and various technical problems.
2. 'Prototype-1' (Reviving 'Project Nomad).
It was the first major research project, in which Duncan took the lead after long shift. It was reviving of 'Project Nomad', but now, under control of CIS (Colonial Intelligence Service), which loaned all project and gave a work space at Sarawak.
This time, there was no limits of researching time, so there was mo opportunities to experiment with various code lines and other elements of virus.
Duncan met with few major problems, like the lack of power output in Nyx core (virus had to be implanted to fighter's motherboard); anyway, project was completed successfully, unfortunately, Nyx (later, christened 'Prototype-1') have no self-defense compatibilities, no weapons can be mounted, otherwise, motherboard of ship will melt.
Mass usage of ship is questionable, because price of making such ship.
3. Unnamed project #1
Not much is known about this one. As far as known, Duncan Chevalier is planning to create mobile research institute under flag of Colonial Republic. Class of ship, which will be used for this project is unknown.
Unfortunately, due lack of funds and various bureaucracy problems, project now is on hold.

Combined project of Colonial Republic and IMG; as far as known, IMG initiated creation of new weapon; template of ancient Sol's weapon's blueprints are used.
Personal traits
Not much is known about personal Duncan's life. Ones, who know him, will tell that he's a cold nature. He never looks for a friendship, and if he'll need any, that will be only for business.
He was married once, back to Crayter. Anyway, just before Crayter Exodus, he divorced. His ex-wife weren't included in list of passengers of Sleeper ships, so, no information of her is found.
From the first beginning, Duncan hated Outcasts most from all nations of Sirius. Chevalier is known for his sadistic intentions with Outcast prisoners and cruel interrogation methods.
