"Colonization of the Orion sector has been pushed forward on it's schedule, outpacing original production queues we had originally set. The Hopewell sector, the sector under my control, has established a firm effort to begin rapid deployment of colonies on the compatible worlds we've scouted. Encounter with a few problems were expected, magnetic dust clouds threaten normal Sirius design vessels, we've begun the less-appealing more utility based production on planet to planet crafts.
"For an unexplored sector of space, we've actually encountered what unnerved initial colony scouts. Apparently taken to calling them UFO ships, as silly as it is to call them that, these dark objects are currently being discounted as the inherit flickering of nearby stars as asteroids pass. After all, a lot of the colonists we're relocating are used to the crowding of what used to be fringe worlds in Sirius.
"The only confirmed report of human presence in the Orion sector is a probe satellite from pre-Alliance Coalition warfare from the Sol wars. Production stamps on the battered probe states it was crafted sometime during the year 2020 Anno Domini. We've stripped it down, researched the primitive technology and recorded it's data over into the compilation bank at Freeport Orion 12.
"We've a subsequent data log on the current model of the Viaticum vessel we'll be employing to make use of the Phase Jump engines. Hopefully these models we've worked on for rapid exploration of uncharted sectors will assist in star-to-star jumps. My lieutenant, James Hunter, will be commanding the vessel - he's had the most experience in both First Encounter combat and with his length of service to the Guard, he'll have more than enough respect from the other leaders of the Colonist councils. I will begin relaying all messages to his front in the Heflin subsector. We'll be awaiting your confirmation from Commander Erwin sector's success on beginning their colony establishment. Commodore Helfari, over."
