Background Story

The family Berry and the destruction of the trading ship Endeavor:

The Endeavor was a large and strong trading ship, commanded by Ronald and Sarah Berry -They had 4 daughters in their small trading group. The Endeavor traded luxury foods and other ship parts from Liberty to Bretonia. It had its own escort to ensure the safety of the Endeavor. The escort consisted of 3 fighters. All 3 were flown by the daughters Amelia, Lily and Evie. Amelia was the leader of the escort group. She had a lot of experience about fighters, because she attended an fighting academy, and she also trained the other 2 sisters. Jennifer, the last daughter, never liked to fight, so she became a member of the trading ship Endeavor.

One day Ronald, the father, received an request that a trader needed 2 escorts for an important shipload. Ronald appointed Amelia and Lily for the escort, as they have the best experience for such missions. Shortly after this request, Ronald has been ordered to deliver special and expensive ship parts to Bretonia. He told Evie to escort the trading ship and Jennifer to support him on the trading ship. The convoy started from Manhatten and its destination was Southhampton Shipyard in the New London system. But the convoy never reached its destination, it was attacked by pirates in California. In the meantime the sisters, Amelia and Lily, were also attacked... by the convoy and pirates that were waiting for them. The sisters successfully defended themselves and destroyed the convoy and the pirates. But the ambush in California was also successfully and the pirates managed to destroy the trading vessel. After the destruction of the Endeavor the pirates retreated and Evie followed in her blind rage the running pirates. After that incident nobody has ever seen Evie again. Jennifer, which was inside the trading vessel, managed to call reinforcements and they have soon arrived. They have found 5 crew members of 68. One of the crew members was Jennifer, she managed to get to the escape pod in the right time. But unfortunately the parents and the other crew members didn't managed to survive.

Later came out that this ambushes were planned. They have deliberately reduced the escort with the request. Their goal was to get the expensive cargo that was carried by the Endeavor. After the accident the 3 sisters went to Manhatten to discuss the future about the family. Amelia and Lily decided to search for the ones that were guilty and Jennifer tried to recover the Endeavor. After a few months Amelia decided to stop searching for the pirates. She decided to join the Liberty Security Force to prevent such incidents and to protect Liberty from any threat. Lily also gave up. She decided to work for Liberty as a Freelancer, as she still wanted to have the freedom to search for her lost sister Evie. Jennifer managed to recover the ship, which was repaired in the Baltimore Shipyard. Later she decided to join Ageira to receive more safety and to have a group to whom she can trust. All 3 sisters still hope to find their lost daughter.

Ronald was born in the year 765 A.S. on Planet Denver in the Colorado system. In the early years he was interested in trading, because his father has made him aware of the trading from the beginning of his birth. When he was 12 he was for the first time allowed to enter the Endeavor and to learn more about the facts and secrets about trading. Then when he was 18 he received the control over the Endeavor. Since then Ronald has been promoted to Commander and when his father wasn't able to command the ship, he took over the command. In the year 785 A.S. Ronald met Sarah Berry and married her a few months later. In 792 A.S. his father died peacefully in his bed on the ship. Then Roland was appointed by the crew to the captain of the Endeavor. He was a proud and a trusted captain during the following years. He died by an ambush onboard the Endeavor.

Not much is known about the origin of Sarah Berry. Her parents left her alone after the birth in the year 768 A.S.. What then happened is also unknown. In the year 793 A.S. she became pregnant and brought in the following months Lily to the world. 2 years later she brought Amelia and in 797 A.S. Jennifer to the world. Evie was born in the year 798 A.S.. Sarah died like her husband by an ambush onboard the Endeavor.

Lily Berry was born in the year 793 A.S. on the Endeavor. She was the first daughter of Ronald and Sarah. In her childhood she learned a lot about the trading. Her father always wanted her to be the captain, since he does not live forever. So he teached Lily in her childhood everything that was necessary to command a trading ship. But Lily didn't liked that and told him that she prefers to do something else. So she decided to join the escort team of the Endeavor against the will of Ronald. Ronald was really offended by this action and ignored her for years. The relationship was even in the following years not better. The only persons she had contact to were her sisters. She spent a lot of time with them. After the death of the escort leader she received the opportunity to take the escort leader job. But she refused and handed the task over to her younger sister Amelia. Amelia accepted the offer with proud. At this time the escort consisted of Lily, Amelia and Evie. But after the death of Ronald and Sarah the escort group dissolved and all sisters went their own way. Lily decided to take a job as a freelancer to find her lost sister Evie and to investigate the "Endeavor" case. Few months later she received the rebuilt trading vessel Endeavor from Jennifer.

Amelia Berry was born in the year 795 A.S. on the Endeavor like her older sister Lily. Her father tried to convince her that trading will be her dreamjob. But her father also failed in her, because she wanted to follow the footsteps of her older sister Lily. So she became one of the escort members. After the death of the escort leader, she received the offer to become the new leader of the escort group. She accepted it, but since she had little experience she attented an academy. In the academy she learned a lot of new strategies and fighting skills that were important for the leader role. The 3 sisters were a perfect team and they have managed to prevent many ambushes. But in the year 818 A.S., where the "Endeavor" pirate ambush took place, she didn't managed to prevent the attack. She was trained for ambushes, but this ambush was something she couldn't foresee. She couldn't believe that she was tricked by pirates that managed to do something like that. After the incident she decided to investigate this case together with Lily. They knew that such planned attacks like this one are really rare, therefore they thought that someone had something against the Berry family. They investigated the case for several months, but came to no result. That is why they gave up the case. But Amelia still wanted to do everything possible to prevent such incidents. So she decided to join the Liberty Security Force to be in a group that is trained for investigations like this one. Among other things she wanted to protect Liberty from any other threat.

Jennifer Berry was born in the year 797 A.S. on the Endeavor. She was the third daughter and, not like the other sisters, interested in trading. In her childhood she spent a lot of time with her father to learn everything about the trade. Already in the early years she practiced the trade together with her father and her mother. In 815 A.S. she got the opportunity to work as a crew member onboard the Endeavor. She worked very hard and soon she was an important member for the Endeavor. Her main task was the communication and the navigation of the Endeavor. But in the year 818 A.S. where the Endeavor was destroyed, everything has changed. She and 4 other crew members were the only ones that had managed to survive the ambush. After this stroke of fate she didn't knew what to do. Amelia and Lily were searching for new jobs. Evie was gone, just like her parents. After long considerations, she decided to continue with trading. She collected enough money to pay a complete new ship. It was not as impressive as the Endeavor, but still she managed to get her own trading ship. She called the new ship Endeavor to honor her father. But she later realised that she had no use for the ship, because she didn't find the suitable crew for it. So she decided to give the new ship to Lily, as she could have the most use for it. After she delivered the ship to Lily she searched for a job in a trading company. After a long search she finally managed to find a company to whom she can trust.

Evie Berry:

Evie Berry was born in the year 798 A.S. on the Endeavor. She is the youngest daughter and she joined the escort group like Lily and Amelia. She preferred rather to fight than to trade, therefore she decided to join the escort group. Her sister Amelia trained her every day so that she could lead the escort one day. She learned very quickly and Amelia knew that when the time has come she would present a good and competent leader. But everything changed when the Endeavor was attacked and destroyed. She was the only escort at this time and she couldn't believe that she failed to defend the Endeavor. In her blind rage she opened the fire on the running pirates. What then happened is unknown. She disappeared and no one saw her again. Lily, Amelia and Jennifer still hope to find her one day, as they don't think that she died, as she had nearly as much experience as Amelia.

I can't believe it. My wish to join the Ageira has finally worked and I am now an proud member of Ageira Technologies!
The day started very well. After my inclusion into Ageira I immediately went to Pittsburgh to get my new ship. At the same time Robert Steele and Kole Jericho helped me to get the correct identifications and also the cash that was needed for the new trading ship. With the help of my new friends I really fast managed to get the ship, a beautiful small freighter.

When my ship was done and ready for duty, I received the offer to join the first convoy. I, of course, accepted this offer and prepared everything that was needed for the trading run. The convoy consisted of myself, Matthias Andrewson and Nikolas Burton, who was our escort at this time. Before we started I was told that we are doing the "Okinawa run". It is the currently best trade run to make a good profit and also the safest. When everything was ready we started our run. It went better than expected, without any unwanted stops or ambushes. Our first destination was the Sigma-19 Gate Construction Site in Okinawa. It was also my first time in Kusari, so I had to take a few pictures, as these places were really beautiful. Our last destination in Kusari was Planet Honshu, where we bought Optronics to sell these in Liberty.

After we have finished the "Okinawa run" I returned to Pueblo station in Colorado. There, I received my apartment - which is a small room but still larger than the cockpit of my trading vessel, so I am quite happy to have the room.

As next I will explore the life inside the station, the people working there, the details of the station, the bar and so on...

I also have to send this file, and the needed data to reach it, to my sisters. So it will be easier to communicate and to share our experiences and stories, as we haven't talked for a long time and I really miss them!

I will soon start to get back to work but for now I need to rest. It was a long and hard day.

Day 2

This time I decided to make a trading run on my own. I did the "Okinawa run" with the same destinations and ways. I actually have nothing more to add to this, as really nothing happened.
All I have to say is that it's boring to trade alone!

After I have returned in Pueblo I directly went back into my room to finish a few paperworks. Next day I will visit the station... gah! I wanted to do that today... tomorrow then...

Day 3

*Yawn*
Uhhh... It was really a hard day. I decided to explore Pueblo and met a lot of new people. But they were not really... nice to me, I guess they were just a bit busy. So I went to the bar to find more people there which are in a better mood. And I indeed found a few friendly people, also a few members of the last convoy. We were talking about the "Okinawa run" and other not really important facts. After long talks we decided to get back to work. So we have gathered a convoy outside of Pueblo. I soon joined them and we started our "Okinawa run". This time I knew the route, so it was far easier for me to navigate, as I knew what our locations were.

Hence we delivered the gate/lane parts to the Sigma-19 Gate Construction Site in Okinawa and back with Optronics. The whole trading run proceeded without any further problems.

Ohhh, I nearly forgot to say that I have a new trading vessel!

Jenny! I can't believe it's you! I really didn't expected to hear from you again, luckily I was wrong.

That sounds kind of funny! Whatever, I am really happy and proud about your luck. It seems that really everything what you ever wanted to do has come true. You have joined an really good and well known company and you have finally managed to visit Kusari.

And you thought you would never manage to get there. As you can see things can really change fast.
Ohh, and you said you have a room on Pueblo? Be sure that I will visit you there once. I pass Pueblo very often, so I guess it's possible to visit you. Or maybe we will meet once in space. That would be much more exciting!

Ohh, I almost forgot to tell you that I had a date with a really attractive and nice guy. I met him close to a tradelane fighting some pirates. He asked me to help him with those pirates, but before I could have intervene he already destroyed them. After the fight he told me that we have a date, I actually didn't understood what he meant with that... I guess it's unimportant. So we had a nice little conversation and then we have also appointed a time for a date - a real date, yes!.
We appointed the date on Ames the next day. I wasn't so sure if I should really attend this date, as this was quite a strange incident.
Ohh! I forgot to mention... he gave me a diamond! But much more strange was what happened right after this stranger left me. I was at this time together with Anna Brown a fellow Agent. The trader was really upset and he told us about a strange incident in Colorado. An unidentified vessel stopped him and ordered him to drop two Luxury goods in return to receive two diamonds. It didn't made any sense but I told the trader that I will investigate this matter, as I thought that there might be a cohesion between this guy and the incident.

The next day I decided to attend the date as I had to find out what this was all about. So I went to Ames and immediately found this stranger, already waiting for me, at Ames. He greeted me and told me that he has ordered an table for us. So we met inside the building at the table. Shortly after the meeting I asked him about the incident in Colorado. He admitted that he stole the Luxury goods and he told me that these are gifts for me. Joseph or Joe as I was allowed to call him, handed over the gifts to me. I was so happy about the gifts. I couldn't believe that he did that for me. Through the gifts I was totally distracted and had forgotten my actual task...
Then he asked me about my origin and my past. I was totally confused and started to tell about my origin and my past. I told him really everything about my past, the death of my parents and my former tasks. I don't know why but I think I was not myself. You know me very good sister, I normally don't like to talk about our past... Mhh... nevermind. After I was done with my babbling about my past I asked him about his past. He told me that he was living with his parents on Ames and his parents were working there until most companies in Liberty had changed. His parents lost their jobs, so they had to took small jobs during the years. They died rather peacefully. He then joined the Xenos to fight against the companies and their way of work. His past is quite sad... I felt compassion.
After long and unimportant conversations we decided to settle a new date. It will be in Alberta, above planet Calgary. I really hope that this is not a trap or something else... I should be really careful...

I guess I talked enough about myself now.

By the way, did you heard something about Lily? I had now for a couple of month no contact to her. I really hope that nothing happened to her!

The seriousness of life has began for me, sister. Two days ago I had my first patrol, together with Anna Brown. Since she had a higher rank than me I had to listen to Anna's orders. But that wasn't really a great problem as we understood us very good. Before we started our patrol we were talking about ourselves to know each other better. As soon as we knew us better we started the duty and patrolled together the Liberty core systems. But as we really didn't found anything we decided to take a combat training session.

I have to admit that I really needed that... my combat skills weren't as good as Anna's.

So she showed me a few new tactics and shared her experiences with me. I managed to learn the new tactics very fast, so we quitted the combat training soon to get back to patrol the systems.

Later in the patrols we received an emergency call from allied forces. They were attacked my Rheinlanders in the Hudson system. We decided to move immediately to Hudson to assist our allied forces against the Rheinland forces. Soon as we have arrived the location we saw that the battle already started. So we immediately rushed to help our forces. We engaged the enemy and our first target was a Rheinland fighter, which decided to attack my vessel when I arrived. I, along with Anna and another Navy fighter managed to destroy the hostile fighter.

After the destruction of the Rheinland fighter we moved to assist the other forces against the remaining hostile vessels. Part of the enemy fleet managed to escape but the other part was destroyed.

We won this battle and we successfully managed to return safely. It was my first victory and I was really happy about that. When we were back in Liberty I was allowed to take a small break and I accepted this offer and flew to my apartment.

On the same day I was forced to get back to work... So I left my apartment and jumped into my fighter. Luckily I met Anna Brown outside of Manhatten, as it's really more enjoyable with her in the group.

So we again flew together a patrol around the core systems. But unfortunately Anna had to leave me for a short moment as she had to finish a few things. I decided to continue the patrols on my own and went to California to start there. Then, in California I have found a Lane Hacker vessel near a trade lane, which was exploiting a trading vessel infront of me. Normally I should have attacked the hostile vessel but I knew that this wouldn't be a wise decision, as it was a gunboat shipclass. So I decided to wait until the trader has left the area, so I could speak alone to the Captain of the vessel.
First I asked him a few questions about the origin and other things concerning the Captain. I found out that the vessel is piloted by a wife which had two kids onboard the vessel. She told me that her husband left her and joined the Legion (Note to myself: Find out more about the Legion). The wife was at this time on her own and had to take care of the kids alone. As she had no other ideas how to supply their kids she decided to earn the needed cash for the kids by acting as a pirate. I tried to convince her that there are more legal ways to earn money than acting as a pirate. In that time, where I tried to convince her to change her life, Anna came to my location and assisted me. Together we tried to convince her to surrender and to change her life. But as she didn't wanted to leave her kids, a brilliant idea came into my mind. I told her that I have a lot of experience with kids and that I could take care of them during her penalty in the prison. I also told her that I managed to take care of Evie and you, Jenny.

*She begins to smile*

You exactly know what I mean, sister, hehe.
Back to the point. So I told her that I can take care of her kids and that I will inform her about the kids at any time. She accepted the offer and she also told us that she could provide interesting informations about the Lane Hackers. So we had a deal! She gave me the kids, which I successfully brought to Manhatten in a wonderful villa, which is a property of the Liberty Government, but I was allowed to take care of the kids there. During the time I brought the kids to the villa the wife was escorted by Anna to the nearest prison.

I got a really serious and hard work ahead of me. I hope I will manage to take care of the kids as I really don't want to disappoint the wife. She gave everything up just to save her kids and she also trusted me in this matter. I can't betray her under any circumstances.

It was a good idea not to take this way of life, my beloved sister. As it's really not easy.

Ohh hey Amy! Nice to hear from you. About your idea... I could, indeed, get some freetime to take care of the kids, as I don't have to work always. But the times are not always the same, they are irregular. So I will leave you a message when I can come to visit you and the kids again. I hope this works fine for you. I also received the informations about the location of the villa and I will visit it today. I hope you will be there so we can talk about a few things which need to be discussed. Okay... so this is also decided.

Now you mentioned a stranger which you already met. I hope this guy is not going to hurt you in any way. If he is going to do that, though, then I will have to initiate countermeasures, as I really don't want to lose you, too. You are the only one I have contact to and I don't want that this will change. So please, take care and keep me informed about him.
I also hope that those were special patrols you mentioned there, as I don't think you will survive this stress if this is going to continue. Doing patrols or missions and taking care of kids, while you are still trying to find Evie is a bit too much, in my opinion. I just don't want that something is going to happen to you, so please take care of yourself first before you continue with those patrols. Try to relax and take some freetime, I will be there for you if you need some relaxation.

Okay... that should be all for now. Oh, I forgot to say that I have a new ship in Ageira and that I also received the access codes to one of the large Ageira vessels. I even tried it today but it didn't went pretty well... I met a pirate who forced me to drop my cargo. I tried to give him other suggestions to solve this situation, but he declined them all and threatened me and my crew by attacking the ship. So I had to drop the cargo, as I didn't wanted to risk the lifes of my crew just as the ship. After I had dropped my cargo, he allowed me to leave and I took this chance and runned for my life. There were no further incidents with pirates. It went all good, I just lost the cargo and the credits, which I was needing to buy these goods. But that's better than losing a ship or crewmembers, or even my own life...

*She runs to her and gives her a tight hug. Then she turns her head around to the guards*

Amelia: "It's okay, I allowed her to visit the kids, she can pass"

*Jennifer shrugs and blushes as she receives the hug from Amelia*

Jennifer: "H-hey, Amy! H-how are y-you?"
Amelia: "Well, I will tell you in a moment, but let's go inside the villa first."
Jennifer: "Uh-uh, o-okay!"

*Amelia takes Jennifer's hand and draws her to the villa, she opens the door with a key and enters it together with Jennifer.*

Amelia: "So... here we are. This is the villa I've told you about and here are the kids spending their most time"

*She looks around, the confusion in her eyes is noticeable*

Amelia: "I wonder where they are... Well, feel like at home. I will see if I can find the kids. I'll be right back"

*Amelia leaves the room and walks everywhere in the house and finds the kids, sleeping, in their beds. So she leaves them again and walks back to Jennifer*

Jennifer: "A-and found them?"
Amelia: "Yeah, they are sleeping right now. It's good for us, so we finally have to time to talk with each other."

*Amelia takes Jennifer's hand and draws her to the living room*

Amelia: "Please, sit down. Do you want anything to drink?"

*Jennifer sits down on the couch, which was right next to her*

Jennifer: "O--ohh... water, please."
Amelia: "Water... alright."

*Amelia takes a bottle water out of the fridge and gives it Jennifer*

Amelia: "Here you go."
Jennifer: "Thank you, A-amy"

*Amelia smiles at Jennifer*

Amelia: "You still seem to be a nervous little girl."
Jennifer: "Y-yeah... don't ask me why... I tried it several times to change my behavior, but all tries failed..."
Amelia: "Heh, it's okay. I like it somehow, you seem to be even more cuter with this attitude."

*Jennifer starts to blush again and smiles at Amelia*

Jennifer: "T-thank you. B-but you are cute, too!"
Amelia: "No doubt on that, but we are not here to tell us how cute we are... Let's talk about the upcoming work, the kids. I will have to tell you everything what has to be done and what you shouldn't do."
Jennifer: "O-oh, okay."
Amelia: "Good. First you will have to support them with food and water. Try to give them especially that what they like at most, but that is not really a great problem as they really eat everything, at least that is what I noticed... Well, also try to spend some time with playing games or even try to learn with them some subjects which are currently treated in the school. Just act like a babysitter, I guess you know how to do that."

*Jennifer nods*

Jennifer: "Yeah, I t-think I got it."

*Suddenly Amelia's communication device rings*

Amelia: "Alright, tha... One moment..."

*Amelia takes her communication device out of her pocket and reads a message*

Jennifer: "What is it?"

*Amelia sighs*

Amelia: "My fellow agents require my assistance... I will have to leave you now."
Jennifer: "O-oh... W-when are you coming b-back?"
Amelia: "I guess in a few hours."

*Amelia gets closer to Jennifer and gives her a kiss at her cheek*

Amelia: "See ya, Jenny!"
Jennifer: "S-see you."

*Jennifer waves as Amelia leaves the room. Right after Amelia has left the room, Jennifer starts to discover the villa closely to make sure where to find the necessary things for the kids. Shortly after she found everything she sits down on the couch to watch television until Amelia returns*
