Introduction
It is the state of the sector that people are largely divided into two lots: the have and the have-nots. This being the case, slave labor is a necessity for some so long as the wealthy of the houses are engaged in their war against the poor wherever they may be. In such a system, the only way for the few to rise to be powerful enough to challenge the elites is to force others to work for them. Slavery is not a choice, it is a way of life.

Embracing these facts of life and human existence, the Slavers Alliance is a community of independent slavers who share their collective knowledge and expertise to benefit all. The failure of past organizations, most notably the Slavers Union to remain relevant indicates the individualistic and anti-structural nature of slavers. Thus, the Slavers Alliance will not attempt to dictate, control or coerce independent traders in human flesh in how they do business or with whom. We will, however, allow those independent traders to become "Associate Slavers" if they so choose. Benefits that come with this are the chance to work in tandem with other Associates of the Alliance, to get the best information about routes to and from the hottest slave trading ports in the sector, and, of course, to be one of a dying breed of slaver runners.

For the most part, everyone benefits from the use of slaves, save the slaves themselves of course. Sacrificing the weakest and most vulnerable among us is a small price to pay for a virtually unlimited labor pool that can allow the rest to focus on the progress of humanity. Despite this, it seems that even the more enlightened unlawful factions of Sirius look down upon slavers, despite the benefits they reap from their use the sector over. However, it is encouraged that all slavers maintain friendly relations with most unlawful factions, as they are more often than not our best customers!

Operations
IDs: Independent Slavers should use the Pirate ID or the Slaver ID
Naming Conventions for Associate Slavers:
Fighters / Freighters: <SA>First.Last or <SA>"Nickname"
  • Example: <SA>Seth.Driskill
  • Example: <SA>"Whiplash.Sally"
Transports / Liners / Gunships: <SA>Ship.Name
  • Example: <SA>Gentleman's.Dancer
Slavers are encouraged to ply their trade primarily in human beings, other cargo being of secondary concern. If large passenger liners are encountered, it is the obligation of the discriminating slaver to enslave every last man, woman and child aboard. Planet Malta or Burgundy aren't the only places itching for a steady supply of free labor. Don't forget that even pirates need some female companionship every now and then.
Weapons and Ships
Associate slavers can use any combination of weapons or ships, so long as they follow the technology usage chart.
Diplomacy
The Slavers Alliance follows the diplomatic legacy left by the earlier Slaver's Union. Their chart can be found here.

Creating a Character (Borrowed from Slavers Union)
The Character

Slavers treat other humans as property. Slave traders can go see many faces and shunt them all off to do another's bidding all for his / her own profit. This means that the first question you musk ask about your slaver is, "What has made them so emotionally distant from the human condition?" Consider the slavers past life before taking on this new role. What things could a person have seen or done to create this kind of detachment. Also consider what type of personality would have resulted from these events. While brutality and derangements are natural side effects, basing your character upon these things alone will make them hard to visualize, and could leave your RP a little shallow.

The Ship

I consider this the most fun! What is your ship like? The slave liner info card implies a bit of the history, but just like a car a ship will take characteristics of its captain and crew. Think about the vessels history, when it was built, what it was built to do originally, when it may have been renamed or re purposed. Answering those questions will make it easier to answer how the ship came into your characters possession. After that you will want to flesh out what it is like on board now. Some slavers like opulence and keep tidy ships with carpeting and gold trim, other ships may be Junker specials with blaster scars, missing deck plates and cables criss-crossing the corridors. Remember to be creative, because your ship is character too!
Officially Joining
A player officially becomes a member of the Slaver's Alliance when they are listed on this spreadsheet. A Skype name is necessary if an Associate Slaver wants to team up with others. We suggest creating a new one with a minimum of information as this spreadsheet is open to the public.

//Forgot to add that I owe the former Slavers Union a lot for the material and idea in this. Here is their old official faction application.
