The face of the man known as Fleet Admiral James Ralston, who was also known as the Her Majesty's Military Governor of Dublin, was onscreen.

He looked wounded. And enraged.

"Brave Citizens of Bretonia. Today, while on a mission of peace to discuss terms of the Dublin Protocol with the Molly leadership, the new Flagship of the fleet, the HMS Audacity, was destroyed by Molly bombers while under a flag of truce. Four hundred of her crew are unnaccounted for."

He paused. He was trying to contain his fury. He angrily waved off an aide who was trying to give him some item.

"Bretonia is fighting for her survival, and for her freedom, against the Kusari Empire. While we do so, we have counted on the reasonableness of the Mollies to at the VERY LEAST, not engage us outright while we defend our common homeland; the Kingdom of which they are a part."

"It WOULD APPEAR that Mollies do not understand reason. They deal in the currency of force. We can spend that currency as well. More so than they realize."

"Today, during the rearguard action, Captain John Clay destroyed three enemy vessels while piloting his Templar. For his bravery and competence in battle, he shall receive the Carina's Cross, once he recovers from his light wounds."

"'They that sow the wind, shall reap the whirlwind', as they say, and now, by the authority invested in me by Her Majesty, as the Military Governor of Dublin, I declare a state of Total War between the Bretonian Crown and the terrorist organisation known as the Mollies."

"Operation Aighneacht (Submission) begins immediately."

"With that, I bid you good night, faithful Bretonian Citizens; and her Majesty's loyal subjects."

"Bretonia Prevails!"

It was barely minutes after the drawn out firefight, which resulted in the destruction of the HMS Audacity, ended. Aleski was still in the Essex's main fighter bay when the broadcast, relayed to all BAF elements, rang out. The bay fell silent for the duration of the message. When it ended, the emotions of vengeance, silent rage and resentment were palpable in the bay.

Despite the legions of injured fighter pilots and crewmen of the Audacity, a thunderous, synchronized "Bretonia prevails!" resounded through the entire fighter bay.

Under his breath, still overwhelmed by anger and regret for having failed to protect the prized ship, he muttered.

"Gott verdammnt... the Mollies will pay for what they did... I will not rest until every single one of them gets to live forever."

It has been a while since I contacted anyone back in my home system but one of my friends who went through Leeds and New London told me stories that compelled me to contact someone. I wanted to know the heart of Britionia, how are we holding up, what is the moral of our chaps on the front lines and are our privateers still alive and well? People whom I'€™ve ran into, evacuating Leeds have a mix of sorrow and determination and most news I'€™ve heard has been from Dublin. I'€™m currently Freelancing within the borders of Rheinland, assisting my employer and his other Freelancers in what he sees as taking a stand where few dare.

I do not know what is fully transpiring within Britionia and my usual contacts have either gone into hiding or killed by now. The [i] [FL]-Vindicator has pulled out of the Omega 7 system and now defends local Rheinland space, occasionally escort ships back and forth from Rheinland.

Yet this news is a blow to the gut. Having negotiations with bloody drunks and cutthroat killers was damn risky, if not foolhardy. Did anyone survive that attack?

I don'€™t know the tactical situation out there and what we'€™re planning to do, but with a bloody nose like this. Damn it. Our chaps need to belt up and just give these Mollys what for. I getting so brassed off hearing one defeat after another. The only victory I ever heard was from a bunch of our convoy transports actually repelled and thrashed who ever was attacking them.

Not much I can do out here.

hm, I can't say I didn't expect this. Crazy Molly hombres.

Let the Crown contact me if they require extra hunter presence in Dublin and surrounding space. I've grown to like this dogpile called Bretonia. And I never liked mollies anyway. Maybe we can now shoot those hombres all over Dublin?

We'll do our part in settling the score si?

C. Jack

Guildmaster of the Houses

end of message.

...*you hear mumbling*-
why?...why they did it?....they completly ruined all our diplomatics....
*sighs*
violence was absolutely unnecessary.....why?

*Reading up on the latest reports from Dublin, Johnathan Sanders eyes go wide at the Bretonian announcement*

"Damn. Those nutballs actually did it this time... That's... going to put the Guild in a difficult position around Hood. Not to mention the MMC... Can't see them continuing to be able to exist with a state of war. We need a plan... This is going to be even messier then before."

*he shoots off an urgent communication to both Jack Henderson and Ron Matterson*
