MESSAGE TO COLONIAL GOVERNMENT
SENDER: Linda Batiq

Some time has passed since this:

Quote:Breaking news! Colonial cadet, known as Sarah Batiq finally returns!

Cadet, callsign "Blue-3" gone 5 months ago. All searches of her gave no results, so after two weeks of operation she was listed as MIA (Missed In Action).

3 days ago, Colonial pilots have ceased Cardamine smuggler heading from the direction of Tau-37. It is believed that ship named "Lucy in the sky of the Orange" were heading to New York.
The one of the most strangest founding was... Sarah Batiq herself in cargo bay, hiding between boxes full of Cardamine.

Today, Liberty-born ensign was strong enough to tell all her story.

"It was routine patrol in Tau-23, I got distress call from a IMG tagged miner... the only thing he told me was that he's under attack by an Outcast party. And why do these brainless miners can get so much problems? I was near Tau-37 jump hole, so I decided to defend that miner on myself... sadly... I made a mistake and didn't informed any officer about danger. Looks like my pride of Bounty Hunter was too big. I jumped to Tau-37 and headed to the coordinates where I was expecting to see that miner and pair of fighters of sniffies. However, instead of two fighters... my scanners caught frakking gunship with small escort of Sabres. Looks like those Outcasts was attracted to me more than to that juicy miner. Soon all their weapons were pointed to me... I have bought some time for miner to run, I saw him jumping away, I'm not sure, did he called any reinforcement... time was passing really fast, soon my consoles started to lighting red and I realized that my engines is on fire already... the last thing I remember was then I looked right, and saw rocket coming, there was no chance of evading... BOOM!

After that the only thing I saw was dark cells and corridors... with that Cardamine scent in air. I was interrogated few times, however, I think they realized I have nothing to tell, so due unknown reason they have moved me to that shipyard orbiting Malta. There they tortured me... not sure why... as far as I believe they did that "just for fun". I still remember that stench of Cardamine, floating in air, soon I got used to it, and after some time, I got addiction of it. When they realized that my lungs and brains are already addicted to that orange poison they isolated me in cell which was without any Cardamine in air it was the biggest pain I have ever felt in my life. Few times I was thinking, that I'm going to die... but I haven't surrendered so easily.

Oddly, but I managed to realize, that not everyone from Outcasts can be monstrous bandits. One mechanic, who called himself Crow, helped me to escape. He managed to get me out of my cell and put me in smuggler's cargo bay. I was hiding there for 3 days, I think...
I'm still not sure why he did this to me..."

Sarah says, she is planning return to her duty and complete her cadet trial period.

"I know, that addiction will make everything worse, and I won't be always trusted by other pilots, but I DON'T GIVE A FRAK about it."- Says Batiq.

CNS Team greets returned pilot!

After lurking in Freeport for many months I have realized that there's no other place for me than Colonial Fleet. I know... some things have changed in me. Especially when we talk about addiction of that drug.

I hope drug-addiction won't cause you any problem. Because I'm requesting for return to the Fleet.
However, in exchange of that I need living quarters in Minato Harbor (since I think I have none left there) and... supporting me some Cardamine every month, since without it I'm going to die. Plus, in every cease or taking off of Cardamine smuggler I want to take a small part of his cargo.

Miss Batiq,

I will not allow any Cardamine addicted individual in our fleet. It is just too much of a danger to have someone addicted to what we fight against, fighting for us.
I will however grant you the possibility to fly in our fleet after a successful therapy. But be warned, said therapy will be painful.

So this is what do you get when you fight for the safety of the Republic and face the death when you try to save someone's life? Here's where the loyalty to each other has gone...

You think I'm not a Colonial anymore because I have suffered biggest pain for the Republic itself? You think because that frakking drug is floating through my veins makes me your enemy? I would advice you to think again, Ma'am.
I don't mind anyone as long as they fight.

~You-know-who.

Miss Batiq, I'd advise you to know your superiors before replying to them in such a manner. Such disrespect will not be allowed. Lt. Cmd. Myers is the X.O. of the Nemesis carrier. Let's hope she will have mercy on you if you get in.

Regardless, I will look into this.

Miss Batiq,

You were out of the Military for too long as it seems, you should be glad that I am not going to use the powers given to me in a state of war, which we currently face. However if you do this again you will have to face the consequences.
I gave you the options, which means you will either go through a therapy or you will not be allowed to fly in my Battlegroup.
There is a reason why we have those guidelines and they will be followed and enforced.
I will not risk the life of my men because of your addiction.

Well, well, well, looks like everyone comes home after they mess around in the big world. I see you already cause trouble, miss Batiq, however, a transfer paper is already on its way to the Recruitment Bureau. You have a place on Europa and... IF you get in, the treatment with cardamine or any substitute will be made by our doctors in the medical bay. You won't just collect cardamine containers from destroyed ships and you won't be administrating any doses without medical assistance. I repeat: IF you get in.

Oh and I suggest you lower your tone when talking to a superior officer. We haven't hanged anyone for quite a while and the others are hungry for that kind of entertainment.

You're all talkin' about healing like it is something "magically powerful". I heard only a rumors about "healed" ones and believe me no one would want life like theirs. I want to fly properly in my Nyx not like brainless idiot who sees ponies and rainbows around. Dying after approximately five or ten years after so famous "healing" isn't something I would like to feel.

And if you don't like to see me in Minato just because I have a small tube under the chin I'll be happy with my cell, called "a room" in Freeport 10. I even won't request any payment... just let me to return...

Please?
