For the past years, we have been trying the best of ourselves to always solve our reputation problems by ourselves, acomplishing success most of the time. However, this keeps being a very time consuming task, and there's always a couple of factions that can't be balanced.

So, here comes the question, would be worth the trouble to have our own ID with rep. ninja attached on it?

Vote.
No, I don't think we're special enough to have separate, our own and very personal IDs.

The main solution for this problem is to have ships for each sector with reps adjusted only for this sector.
Second solution is to cut on contracts.

Or use fully hostile to everyone ships, since having employer red isn't bad yet.
Not everyone can afford having ships on each sector.

Cutting down on contracts is not a major factor, for example, if we stop shooting the RM, the RM rep still gets green from shooting Corsairs NPCs, and surely the RM faction would appreciate if we remain hostile to them.

You mustn't be hostile to your contractors.
Pilot carrying this ID is a member of the Mandalorian mercenaries, who :

- Can trade and escort traders
- Can fulfill lawful and unlawful bounty contracts
- Cannot pirate, but can provide security services for pirates who are pirating if paid to do so. Mercenaries can only fire on traders or smugglers in self-defense or if the trader or smuggler fires on or is bountied by the mercenary's employer.
- Cannot demand contraband unless specified in employer's bounty
- Cannot use any transports with more than 3,800 cargo
- Has nothing to do with Star Wars

rofl. define "special". Every faction is special in their own way. I wouldn't mind having an ID for every official faction.
I think Yes, especially because the other mercenary groups are going for it too.
At least Mandalorians are keeping their contracts for some time, so it'd be much easier for you if you have your own ID, then say - Reavers, who'd have to request for new repninja all the time, due to their side-switching.
As far as I know, MM is holding to it's original contracts, which were Bretonia, Outcasts, Liberty and hostile Rheinland, for quite some time.

I don't think you need anything else written on your ID, it can be a copy of Merc ID.

I didn't want to go offtopic but.... ROFL

Back when I was a Consul, I strongly believed (well, I still do) that the Mandalorians needed and deserved an id, and even a shipline, for a number of reasons. First of all (as long as it regards the id) the rep is unbelievably hard to manage. Also, it would help the faction a lot, making it more "unique" (whatever that means) and attractive. All in all, I think you do need an id. As a matter of fact, back then, I contacted some admins and even Cannon about it. At the time, the server had major problems, so a MM id wasn't really a priority. Since I stopped playing, I didn't really poke them again about it. You should.

On a side note, once I fix some RL issues (a week or so, hopefully) I would like to start playing again. Any idea who got my old ships and if they are being used, or I can have them back?

Te....Mandalore, let's talk on skype
Yes. You're a long standing official faction, you deserve to have your own ID with rephacks so new members can mount it instead loosing bunch of hours to set up their reps properly.

No need to change from Merc ID, only fancy wording if you wish. But nothing special to add.
*thumbs up*
